Okay i got a question since the war was being broadcast around the world. so shouldn't the war be broadcasting to some of the islands the strawhats are on?

As Oda planned most of the SHs are on uninhabited islands/no signs of humans/place mostly no one knows about. Maybe Sanji may be able to watch but he's probably protecting his butt hole.

I think it's definitely being broadcasted in more places than just SA. I'd assume certain kings of countries would want to watch.

DF > fishman abilities.

If they can't swim then they can at least "fly" Only important fishman ability is that they're 10x stronger than humans. It's not like they're faster than merfolk in the water. They'll retain w/e other abilities you're talking about.

But isn't a fishman who can fight in the water greater than a DF user stuck on a boat? If the two were battling, I would have to put my money on the fishman in that situation. Now if they were on land fighting, I can see where the DF would be better than the insane strength in water.
But don't you think someone like Jimbei is better off as his is than he ould be with a DF?

I never suggested Jimbei should eat a DF. Nor do I think he should.

The questions you ask depend on the opponents involved and the DF. You can arguable say the same for a human that's really strong and can swim. A fishman that eats a DF is only sacrificing his ability to fight in the water. Depending on the DF it may not be that much of a sacrifice. Either way it'd make for a good tragic past that could develop in to a good villain.

I think Sanji proved that a human can beat a Fishman even without a Devil's Fruit. Also, Luffy proved that a human with a Devil's Fruit can beat a Fishman.

Haha, how funny. Someone asks a question about a random Devil Fruit, then another person asks a question about people viewing that War, then someone answers the first question about the random Devil Fruit, and by coincidence unintentionally sheds light on the second question. "Bottom left corner" instead, though. Anyway, I must have never noticed that particular portion of text before, or it might just be a poor translation and use of words, but there it is. "All over the world, people watched in silence…" CNET's version was, "The people of the world can only hold their breath…and watch as the course of their futures is decided here."

Heh I never noticed that line either. But it's still just showing Shabondy though, same as always. Reading cnet's trans it could just mean people from all over the world gathered there to watch the show. But if it is indeed transmitting everywhere, I hope Oda will show us some more reaction shots than just Shabondy.. (if the feed ever goes back on again)

Well Saboady is an already established gathering place for a very large group of people (pirates included), so it makes sense for Oda to use a recent and established place for story development (rookies, etc) rather than introduce dozens of other locations just to give us a more "diverse" reaction. He did give us basic reactions from around the world prior to the broadcast, so since I am sure snail-o-vision isn't the most available technology, perhaps bars and the like around the world have snail-radio's (??) or something…?

Dumb question about Luffy and the Gum Gum Fruit; Is Luffy's immense strength due to the powers of the Gum Gum Fruit, or is it due to training?
Example: When Luffy bent Arlong's saw-nose in half, he was not seen stretching in any way. Was this raw power that Luffy displayed due to the fruit even though there was no stretching or was it just his physical strength due to training? Does Luffy display his power only when he is stretching or is the Gum Gum Fruit always "activated", so to speak? Sorry, I'm not sure how to phrase the question, but I think you guys can pick it up.

It's just Luffy. His ultra strength comes from his hard training as a kid. When he battled Kuro. he pointed out that stretching wasn't his only ability. Or something like that, referring to the fact that he was super strong.

The only thing about stretching that makes Luffy's hits any stronger is that they snap at an opponent like any good stretched piece of rubber.

Ahh okay thanks for that. That's what I thought for the most part too. I'm glad it's not just the fruit that's the source of his power. Just using the fruit to get strong would be a little disheartening for me.

Does anyone else here thinks that Kizaru's ability is complete hax? According to physics (but then again physics does not apply to One Piece), the speed of light has the ability to affect time and space. Even without knowing that, since Kizaru can travel near the speed of light, can't he like, pulverize the work in seconds? I have always thought that using light as an ability in any anime is ridiculous.

He's a light man and a human at the same time. So it's not human reaction that makes him stop it's light speed reaction which is instantaneous to human eyes.

I don't believe it's ever been written out by Oda, like how Zoro and other names have. Most people go with Enel however, some like me go with Eneru, which is what Funi went with.

Enel - The evidence for this comes from the Enel power plant in Italy and the fact that "en el" (אין אל) in Hebrew means "there is no god".

Ener - The only real evidence for this is that it could be like ener-gy.

Eneru - Nothing really except for the literal transliteration of the katakana エネル.

Just curious, is there any one scanlation team that you prefer? I used to read One-Piece on Onemanga, but lately the translations have been crap, and I would prefer quality ones.
Is there a scanlation team that just does a fantastic job consistently, or is the just wishful thinking?

I'd just like to say, because I've seen the confusion way too much, that just because Kizaru is a light man doesn't mean he can travel at the speed of light. If so, he would be godly.

He clearly does not travel at the speed of light, as seen by both Rayleigh and Whitebeard intercepting his movements.

I was just wondering does anyone no how much weight zoro trains with. I think I recall usopp using a 10 to hammer but it probably was a fake. I am curious because goku had a hard time with 40 tons In his base form and I'm preety sure the building zoro lifted is more den 40 ton or maybe not. So does any one no how much he trains with i think I've seen it somewhere pls help

But seriously, I don't know how Zoro's weights don't impact the movement of the ship (at least Going Merry anyway).

I always wondered about this too. Zoro has several metric tonnes of training weights at the top of the ship's mast. You'd think the ship would tip over if it ever got rocked a little.

Ok, is this a normal thing in mangas? To have the same title for multuple chapters? I don't know if this was ask recently or whatever, but did anyone notice that Oda named both One Piece Chapter 407 & One Piece Chapter 569 "Monster". Is the translation correct? Did Oda make a mistake? Or is it a normal thing?

P.S. I know One Manga has alot of translation errors, so I check multiple sites and they all have those chapters with those titles.

There are 3 chapters named monster, but chapter 407 uses a different japanese word than the other 2. So there are indeed 2 chapters with the exact same title, but not the ones you posted.

I was playing Unlimited Cruise last night and I think on the title screen when you see hi weights, they have 1t written on each of them.. He had 2 of them connected to the bar. So he can pick up 2 tons atleast.

I suppose it's possible, but I can't recall any hints that point to them being half weapon. As for the runny nose thing, we've actually seen two weapons that have eaten zoan fruits (Lasso and Funkfried) and only one of them had a runny nose.

I'd like to see a weapon that ate some fruit that wasn't a zoan.

but the demon guards were introduced with adverbs which described their character..so i think those are humans, cause weapons who have all differnet charas…idk

@Urouge -I doubt that would work.How would you command sword to become fire? But I guess constant paramecia would work.Stretching stick or something.The idea of zoan fusion is a weapon with mind of it's own.More usefull that way.But effect of life can be most likely obtained through zoans,who have something like animal spirit in them.You should ask Vegapunk.
