      I saw so much Abbott hate on my fb feed today, links like this:

      http://www.lukeayresryan.com/fuck-you-tony-abbott/ Hard to take stuff that is so biased seriously though.

      @TheCrystalShip:

      I noticed something about the way she words her statements.

      She almost exclusively uses "we" whenever she refers to the opinion that she is espousing. Several times, she falls back on "our nation" and "our country" (once again, she does not say "my nation" or "my country"). The only times when she refers to her own opinion, it is in the context of supporting the opinions of others.

      There are a few other things I noticed. She does not say "we ARE normal, standard people", she says "we consider ourselves normal, standard people". She does not say "everything IS fine", she says "everything must be fine". She does not say "our law that everyone SHOULD respect", she says "our law that everyone has to respect". Whenever she refers to the issue that she is speaking out against, she never once refers to "gay people" or "homosexuality" as the problem. She refers to it as "publicity" or more generally "these problems".

      To me it seems slightly apologetic, in the sense that she has to say this to support her country.

      That was it? Lol. Well GG.

      @Mrs.:

      Now for some smalltalk I've really been itching to hold during the game… wintergt, what province are you in? 🙂 Also I kept reading your name as wintergoat.

      Originally from Limburg, now living in Leuven. You?

      @Monkey:

      Can we get a ticker for the rising death count in Egypt right now going on in the corner of this stupid argument you're making?

      Do you live in a peaceful bubble with ponies and sunshine or something? Trying to take a moral high ground to pester people is one thing, but
      Attacking someone for their normal opinion is pretty low. I don't know Davy Jones' posting history or what he says about other things but he is making the most sense in this argument.

      There is a big difference between trying to be realistically empathic and respectful towards a situation, and pretending you're crying in tears over every life you hear is lost or even become depressed about every bad thing you read about in the news. The latter would indicate a mental disorder.

      To add more about the aspect of taking a moral stance, the world obviously has to condemn these actions in the most extreme way they can. That is practically also the best way to minimize the casualties. It's all part of a moral framework which we want the whole world to abide to to ensure that the current relative world peace continues and that any sort of violence is frowned upon. But don't mistake people that don't want to cry along as them not giving a damn or not having an ethically normal opinion.

      What is happening in Egypt the way I see it. The Mori supporters have been using violence for weeks now and the army had enough and they lashed out in the past few days. I've seen this interpretation mentioned a lot by media and egypt citizens posting on social media sites.

      Ideally we want people in a revolution setting to solve it peacefully but emotions are so heated that this rarely if ever happens in practice. If instead of the civil unrest in Egypt we were watching the french revolution as it was happening, we'd be saying the same things we are now. And rest assured that the situation in Egypt would be much more bloody and violent if the rest of the world wasn't watching.

      Also to put these changes that are happening now (egypt, turkey) in context, don't underestimate the power of the allure of an open free westernized society. Especially for the younger generation in 3rd world countries, people who have been growing up with iphones and the internet and who are not yet rusted in their religious and repressive beliefs. Even simple things like US sitcoms like friends have an enormous effect in showing the rest of the world how others people live their lives. How their lives can be too. The internet has the ability to propel changes along quite a lot faster than in our previous human history. Free open communication through social media sites seems to have quite a strong effect to make people want freedom.

      I'm not buddying anyone. My playstyle has always been to identify villagers because that's easier for me than finding wolves. It lets me thin the field of possible wolves. And I have no problem to say when I think someone is a villager. It's not to buddy up with anyone. If I am 100% someone is a villager I will say this too (that isn't the case here). Same with scum. If I look like I am calculated or trying to wriggle my way through this game as scum, I know that is how it will often look, I have had this feedback before. But I'm actually just straight-forward about my ideas and have some confidence in my ability to play this game. That take fwiw.

      But anyway, galaxy and trapped seem the most wolfy atm, harvady i am conflicted about. I can change my vote to either of them but I don't see the point to do that yet. I want to hear more from everyone. That includes red hawk btw. I think a red hawk lynch is silly though, there are more obvious targets.

      @Red:

      Honestly, this thing is getting suspicious. I do admit that I have shuffled my votes quite a few times since I don't know who to vote for. Usually, I vote for the person trying to lynch me because I have to defend myself but that doesn't make me the mafia. Galaxy and Harvady are both gunning for me after I voted against them which says something. What if Harvady and Galaxy are both mafia and they are working together? Harvady will assume control of moving the game along and Galaxy throws up suspicions everywhere while almost lurking. Just a theory though it is unlikely given the many responses to my theory about Harvady.

      Galaxy is likely scum, harvady can still very much be a villager. In fact if I think about it it's more likely that he is rather than not.

      @trappedolphin:

      Nyeh~ Am I about to be lynched for inactivity?

      Where did you get that idea? That is not the reason for my suspicion and I don't have the impression it's like that for others like mrs iceburg either.

      Red Hawk plays exactly like I've seen beginning players play in the past. There is nothing all that suspicious about him. Harvady continues to be very fishy. Galaxy looks like scum to me, I mean the premeditated way he shows up here now is not town, it looks like a product of scum planning.

      @Mrs.:

      Must be a cultural thing then…

      Oh you are from Belgium too! And i see that vor is too. Small world 🙂

      Oh, Harvy. I counted him as one of the more active players, obviously. It's too early to tell which way he swings. Though the general rule is: if he survives Night 1, he's probably scum.
      Just kidding… but you know what I mean. For now he hasn't done much that made me suspect him; he's being his usual self "leading" the Town. Only his quick jumping onto the vor wagon was slightly off, but I guess he did that to spark reactions. For now, I'd say we let him live.

      Ok that's what I wanted to know. If this is how he normally plays.
