Oda uses both systems though. Color spreads count Luffy, while everything else counts the crew joining order.

Regardless, there's going to be 11 people total on the ship when its all said and done. 10 friends for Luffy. A football team. A family. Etc.
To back that up, look at Chapter titles 68 "the 4th member" (referring to Sanji) and 439 "the 3rd and 7th person" (referring to Usopp and Franky).
While I doubt it would ever happen does anyone ever wonder if the crews epithets would change with a new bounty?
Things like Cotton Candy Lover used to bug me years ago but I kind of like that it's cute and unassuming. It would seem that at some point Brook of all people would soon become known officially as Soul King.
If they did change, any guesses as to what or what would you like to see?
If I had to throw out some new epithets (other than Luffy / Robin) that could go with new bounties …

The Straw Hats obviously cared about the newspaper when they were all split-up, but it's pretty realistic to assume they may not have read it between the time of Ace's capture being made public news (whenever that was?) and when Luffy found out at Amazon Lily. It's funny that scene was at Sabaody. Maybe that was some intentional foreshadowing.
Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say you are right or wrong. I'm just wondering what your thoughts on his fruit being a unique logia are, considering the big differences with all the other logia's we've seen so far. To me personally, Pica's abilities seem to be more similar to Kid's magnetism, assimilating metals, just with more/better control.
Kid's power is magnetism and the way he uses metal is just an effect of that. He can't assimilate metal.
All this talk of Sai reminds me that I wish his character design were a bit better.

I agree with the opinion that Bellamy will join the Barto Club. I feel like there have been a few implications.
Unlike the majority here, I like Rebecca. She won't join because she is basically Nami 2.0. But I liked the character and it would be nice if people didn't keep blatantly bashing her.
In my opinion, among many things, people "bash" Rebecca because she is wanted potential incarnate. Female Gladiator set up destroy gende– wait, wait, nvm, she doesn't actually do anything. She's Vivi 2.0. She wishes she could be Nami 2.0.
Kuro just seemed like a guy with no ambition. I think seeing Krieg or especially Gin would be a lot more likely.
Robin will wear Cavendish's coat and become Hakuba herself
