So cute. Anyone else notice that Chopper gave his Wano hat to Jinbe who then stored it in his kimono? Right the brasier! lol

RE: One Piece Live-Adaptation Drama Announced
A friend of mine got to see the live action series. Not a One Piece fan but says it's surprisingly good and for what it's worth say's not a live action Cow Boy Bebop. I don't know what that means.
I'm hopeful.

RE: Chapter 1062: Adventure in the Land of Science
Loved the way Zoro spoke to Vegapunk. For some reason it never really dawned on my that Zoro would have questions for Vegapunk, most likely in regards to Kuma. I mean it makes sense, especially after Franky explained the situation further once they got back together. Current One Piece kind of gave the feeling that might be over looked.
Or maybe it's not that I didn't think Kuma/Vegapunks motives wouldn't get explained but just that Zoro would specifically have questions about it.
Seeing Jinbe react to Bonnie's claim, the island and the holograms is nice. Gives of further confirmation that he isn't as wordly as he initially appeared. They way he reacted to Bonnie makes me wonder does he know anything about Kuma's situation? He seemed so surprised by the idea that Vegapunk could or maybe would turn a human into an emotionless weapon, you gotta wonder if he has any idea of Kuma's situation or that he might be related to Bonnie. Last chapter she didn't explicitly say anything about Kuma to the group did she?
Lucci has some sense. Assigned to assassinate the most important person on the planet. Aint that some ship.
Oh and Vegapunk saying he has interest in the Straw Hats gets my imagination running wild. Judge/Sanji, Kuma/Zoro, Franky/everything, Devil Fruits in general. It's time we figure it all out!

RE: Chapter 1080: The Hero of Legend
You gotta wonder if Garp had his ship fitted with a propulsion system after being inspired by the Sunny at Water 7.

RE: Greg: Teacher of SUPER " OP " course !
That last column about the underworld, souls and Zoro's seemingly throwaway line was amazing.

RE: Chapter 1065: Six Vegapunks
Yeah I figure it will end up that Vegapunk recreated the fruit's abilities and it can be used for multiple Jinbe Serephim. The idea that Sr Pink could have died in custody is interesting to me mostly for the bit of drama it might bring to Franky after befriending the man during their battle.
And once again it's nice seeing Jinbe somewhat in awe of something. Not too old and hasn't seen it all despite being an "employee" of the government.

RE: Official Egghead Thread
At the top, residing high and seemingly mighty we have the ancestors of the Skypeans(antenna), Birkins/Bilkins(big wings) and Shandorans(animal head dress).
In the lower left with half of its head obscured there is another moon man. Why is this sky being down below them? Nothing about this person is too discernible but it's curious why he's down below like that. Under the sun, head level with some sort of contraption or platform it's just odd. Lunarians being feared and hated long before they made it to the earth would be fitting.
I don't remember if I first heard this from Greg or what. Waiting for Vegapunk to give us the 411.

RE: Chapter 1082: Let's Go and Take It!
What an entertaining chapter! Anyone else love seeing the interior of Marineford where very casual and mundane things go on? Also is that Jango running after Hina in the "new cracker" panel?
Buggy really rose up on my character approval chart with this chapter. In this one chapter so much about who I thought he was has changed so much. Just look at Buggy watching Roger pat Shanks on the head. It almost looks like he put the Straw Hat on him in that moment. Whether thats the case or not it doesn't matter but mainly what Buggy thought of Shanks back then. We knew since the end of Impel Down that Buggy knew very well he was no match for Shanks. However for some reason I had this idea that Buggy thought of himself as someone who could rival Shanks in their youth. Buggy gave up his dreams for Shanks?! For a while he bet on Shanks to be the next King and was in total support of this?! I'm telling you my mind is blown! I really thought I knew Buggy but now I am so super intrigued! Croc, Mihawk, whatever but Buggy man! Is it Buggy who is Oda's favorite character? Oda's been holding back big time it seems!
Crocodile and Mihawk were about to fall into the same rut that Doflamingo, Big Mom and Kaidou found themselves in. For better or for worse Buggy gave them a jump start to the next level. His words were inspiring to me, made me nearly tear up even! I loved Buggy standing up to those two! I also loved how Buggy addressed an argument that fans have debated for ages, you don't HAVE to fight everyone for One Piece, you just have to find it before they do.
Usually characters who aren't Straw Hats don't get such a rise out of me so holy cow did this chapter surprise me.

Hmmm... That white hair part actually has me considering this. Going to keep this in the back of my mind.

RE: Volume 105 Predictions/Discussion
Wowee! What an SBS! Zoro's lineage! Tama's lineage! Sanji's lineage! So much to discuss! I want to read everyone's responses first before I share my thoughts but still needed to share my excitement now.

RE: Official Egghead Thread
Something I thought about when I was banished away with Zelda. It probably wasn't Oda's intention but I think he made a neat little connection between Lulusia's destruction, Enies Lobby and Water 7. Beyond the obvious visual spectacle that is Enies Lobby and Lulusia's giant waterfall hole its the impact on the surrounding islands that could be cool connection.
Water 7 sinking into the sea might very well be a result of what ever the devil happened over at Enies Lobby. I bet if Oda really wanted he could finagle Long Ring Long Land's circular tide in there as well.

RE: Chapter 1093: Luffy vs. Kizaru
I don't love the constant eye popping but I don't hate it either. The constant laughing though, that just strikes me as very interesting and almost foreboding. I'm not sure what to think but due to draw backs of the fruit and the previous Joy Boy who failed I get this sense that all that laughing is going contrast hard with some sort of ironic tragedy.
Not that Luffy will die of course but I don't know. We got past Gear 2nd putting too much strain on Luffy, the 10 years lost from Ivankov seem all but forgotten but now this fruit turns Luffy into grandpa after some use. Is it just energy being burned up so fast and he needs food? Maybe but I'm expecting something tragic to be associated with this laughing and awakening.
There's something funny about Sanji grabbing on to the moving tank and then Franky following suit. Zoro getting to handle the previous big bad is great and I hope we get at least 1 full page of their back and forth in the coming chapters. With Zoro preoccupied with such a revered character of the series, hopefully Sanji and Franky get to cross legs and gadgets with a few of these Vice Admirals. Narratively they don't carry the weight that Lucci does but in universe a Vice Admiral would make a pretty impressive opponent for any of the Straw Hats.
Franky managed a decent 1 vs 1/2 in each arc he's appeared in since the time skip. Hopefully that continues.

RE: Official Egghead Thread
@Deicide Ah that makes sense thanks.
As for the crew not handling business and showing more of their skills at this point, yeah I'd have to agree. Hopefully when this arc is all said and done we get a lot of crew mate highlights that don't have to wait for a 10 year saga defining battle. With so many Vice Admirals, Seraphim, CP0 and major lore related content on this island you'd think we are positioned to see every crew mate get to shine with their unique skills.

RE: Official Egghead Thread
Hey! During Fishman Island Jinbe was telling the crew that the Marines or Government had gained a tremendous amount of power. Was that foreshadowing of the Seraphim? When Jinbe sees them for the first time I believe their concept and design seemed new to him. Am I remembering things properly? For some reason I had this idea that he had always known what was going on.
What am I not getting right?

RE: Chapter 1092: Kuma the Tyrant's Holy Land Rampage
Kizaru feels like an honest goodness threat here! As one would imagine of course. Just light speed warping all over covering multiple targets shows his competence well. As I said in the spoiler thread though the impact of his kicks his never sold to me. His torso and supporting leg postures are just to relaxed for the impact they are supposed to give. Never looks that way with Sanji or Boa but maybe thats the whole point.

RE: Notions That Don't Deserve Their Own Threads
I’m here at San Diego Comicon and it’s nice to see Sanji so present with Luffy and Zoro! And Law and Kidd. I suppose.
Wings of the Pirate King figures displayed and advertised prominently along with cool life size statues of Shanks and Luffy. It’s all in celebration of Gear 5 or Netflix or something right? What ever it is, I like all this One Piece stuff they’ve got going on.
