Finally caught up with the recent scanlation. I must say, I am very impressed on how the author has portrayed his characters and the dynamics of his story line. I can't quite describe how he managed to insert what seemed to be random events in the early chapters and yet it resonates or somewhat has a parallel effect all throughout the story as it progressed, that is just amazing.
I mean, like how Hideo tried to create a manga with a main character that is weak to the point that he is almost non existent. That is how I feel when I read this manga series, I'm not saying it is bad, it is actually the opposite, that is really brilliant. One chapter you are rooting for the MC then you really question yourself is he really the MC and then he slowly fades and get overshadowed by some bad ass character that you think is the new MC then the original MC pops out again to remind you that he still exists. I like the way the author used long absences to shift perspectives on different characters, makes the story fresh and less straining to follow :)
On the recent chapters, I'm just glad we have another perspective, this time from a zombie group. And those unique looking zombie hives are quite a sight to see, and PANINI KURUSO! Zombies speaking syllables KU RU SU! It stirred my mind a bit, I was wondering if KURUSU could form its own hive, I mean we did see one MERGE KURUSO during the hot spring event. Oh and weed wacker group, damn they look so bad ass Hehe
I can't wait for the next scan release. Definitely looking forward to it…but may end up waiting a long time though...sigh
