I'm still betting on 30th anniversary, 2027.
Even if the story is somehow ready to finish before that, everyhone involved will want to stretch it out to that landmark. If that involves Oda slowing down and only doing two chapters a month or just stretching otu final battles/epilogue, I can't see it ending much sooner than that.

Thats assuming current pace of about 40 chapters a year.
Odds and ends includes things like final poneglyph, Shanks, Revolutionaries, and Vegapunk, that can fit in anywhere. Final War includes 1 on 1 fights for everyone as an indulgence the final arc can afford, so that'd be about a year by itself if there's not a lot of musical chairs.
Elbaf and Laugh Tale can both easily be shorter arcs, regardless of all their buildup, and could conceivably be done in 15-20 chapters each like the old days, especially if he skimps on the fight stuff. Its hard to imagine Elbaf being that short after all this time, but Fishman Island was overhyped and was relatively short too So if Oda DOES make those short, then you can take off a whole year.
No idea what Laugh Tale will hold… but it might just be the trip to get there, then the trasure room and Joy Boy's flashback. It may not need lots of action and enemies if its treated more like just a lore dump setup arc, like Jaya or Zou were.
Once Odas in the thick of the final war, who knows, he may not be able to help himmself and that might take 8 years by itself. But he seems really ready to be done. So while his 5 years remaining (now 3) doesn't make any sense, I wouldn't count on it being a decade+ either.
But if we get to Elbaf and that takes two years like the arcs we have been getting then its all out the window. Unless that's also used to wrap Big Mom, Shanks, Vegapunk, etc.
It's also possible Oda is going to do something crazy and the big war will start now before they even get to LT and uncover the ancient secrets that are supposed to start the war, in which case a lot of the groundwork and action can be done between arcs and off camera, and that'll save some time.

Yep. Which is why I feel comfortable saying that there won’t be anyone else joining after Jimbei. We’re so close to the endgame.
But people told me it would take another 10 years? Like I said, he's been sticking to his timeline for the past 5 years. Come 2025 or thereabouts, OP will be finished. Elbaf, Laugh Tale, and The Final War. Any other island will be covered in flashbacks.
The current phase started nearly 400 chapters ago with Punk Hazard. I think the final part of the story will be roughly the same length. We have had one continuous story since the Straw Hats met Law which concludes with Kaido's defeat in a sense. It's impossible to predict exact ac length and breakdown, but overal will probably take about the same amount of time as the current story saga, particularly since characters will need actual resolution.
Vegapunk's Island, Lodestar, Elbaf, God Valley, and Laugh Tale I think will be part of it and maybe a surprise island.
A lot of them can bee relatively short like Lodestar. I do think Elbaf will be a lngthy arc, but it desn't need to push 150 chapters like Wano (though I will be very happy if it does).
We probably have another year of Wano. I also tend to believe five years to reaching One Piece makes a lot mre sense even if the global conflict is already underway serving as a backdrop for the last leg of the voyage in the Grand Line.
Big Mom's story probably continues beyond Wano, but I don't think it will be in the capacity of primary antagonist. The Straw Hats still need to confront Teach and Shanks before discovering One Piece and then decide what to do with the information and treasure contained on Laugh Tale before challenging the World Government.
There's a lot of ground to cover and if the pacing remains consistent with Wano, even with a revelation every chapter, I think we're looking at a saga about the same length as the current one (PH through Wano).
We'll either get a rushed ending in 2026 or the series will still be running in the 2030s.

Yeah, this isn't a shocking development. After Wano, things are going to start moving very, very fast.
Elbaf is the only open point that I think needs its own standalone arc, and then there's little else that doesn't play into either the final conflict with Blackbeard or the final conflict with the World Government, whether those two events occur separately or simultaneously. I'm excited to see how it's going to play out!

I can get behind this as an idea. I'm picturing the relationship between Elbaf and the final war as not unlike the overlap of Thriller Bark and Marineford. The crew has a few more distractions they need to get out of their system, but the machinery of the end battle is already in motion; the domino chain leading into it has started and can't be stopped.
I do believe that we entered the final phase from a story perspective .
The thing, is how long will the final part be? Even if Oda takes shortcuts by merging several plotlines into one I cannot see the series ending in less than 200 chapters (Current WCI-Wano lenght) from now except radical change in Oda's writing's style. And 200 chapters is 5 years alone with the current schedule

If Shanks has it, or its on Elbaf or with Vegapunk, that box can be checked off very easily. Heck, we started with one of them already before we even knew we needed them. It won't need a dedicated search arc, just convenient placement.

Even if there is a dedicated search arc, it could be handled as a cover story if the SHGF do most of the searching.
Or Oda could do something interesting and have a sequel arc to the Reverie focusing on Vivi, Sabo, Kuma, Garp, and the other revolutionaries with the Straw Hats searching for the Poneglyph as the cover arc.

The setup is 1024 chapters long, so the final phase is longer? Is that what you're saying? Just kidding, I think it will last 300-400 chapters after the end of Wano
I believe One Piece will be exactly 1200 chapters long. The first half lasted exectliy 600 chapters from chapter 1: Romance Dawn to chapter 600: Island of New Beginnings, and the second half will last from chapter 601:Romance Dawn for the New World to chapter 1200:Island of Beginnings and Endings (Loguetown).

This "new" message is nothing special, I think we already got some information about the last part of OP (from Jump Festa, etc):
after Wano, which concludes the Yonkou saga, Luffy and the others will race to Laugh Tale.
Maybe this could be called Laugh Tale saga or One Piece saga.
Elbaf could be a small stop before the final island.
The fated battle between Shanks vs Teach will also happen during the trip.
after Luffy getting OP, the final war will start against the World Government.
Im and the Gorosei won't stand idle and let Luffy enjoy his victory.
In this saga, it is a good chance we will meet Vegapunk and we will learn more about the Revolutionaries (as well Dragon).
The SH alliance fleet will have a big impact to ensure the WG's defeat.
after the big war, we will get the epilogue arc.
That's how I see the rest of the manga, based on the information we received so far.
Altogether, these sagas and arcs would be counted up to 375-400 chapters (ending the series at 1400 or 1425).
Yeah. I think we'll probably see multiple plots mixed in and wrapped up in Elbaf which may have been their own island before now.

It ain't ending any time soon in my opinion. The next saga is definitely the Laugh Tale saga but how much that encompasses, who knows? I'm not even convinced the next arc will be Elbaf, I think we might go with Marco to visit Ace's grave while the opportunity is there to do so. It would be a good, shorter arc, to have Garp and Luffy meet again and also deal with the Weevil storyline.
As for the 4th Poneglyph, we know it was on Fishman Island at one point. So I feel like it was probably stolen by giants or it somehow got swept away (if its the latter, I have a feeling that Law might actually find it in a cover story seeing as he has a submarine and can search the sea floor with ease).

I disagree. We are currently in the Enies Lobby Phase of the New World. Next should be a 50 chapter Thriller Bark/Elbaf and a 100 chapter Paramount War/ Final War

I'd say 2026. You know how Oda is, he ends up making things even longer than he usually plans for. Elbaf, the aftermath of the Reverie, whatever is going with Shanks, 4th Road Poneglyph, the showdown with BB, Laugh Tale and the flashback to the void century, and then the final war.
People expecting 1400-1500 chapters should have in mind that means another 10-13 years of manga. We have no idea if Oda has it in him to keep drawing One Piece until he's nearing 60.
My personal feeling is that he'll try to wrap things up until 1250-1300 tops. The man clearly loves his life work but it would be perfectly understandable if he's reaching a point where he just wanna live his life.
I think we also need to pay a visit to God Valley and Mariejois at some point. Also is Enel ever coming back from the moon?
I think One Piece will end somewhere around 1600 to 1800 chapters. We don't have much left to the story, mainly I see Elbaf being a major arc, probably some small arc (Possibly Ace's Grave), Laugh Tale, the Final War which most of it probably end up taking place in Mary Geoise, and an epilogue to show what happened to everyone after the final arc ends.
I can't get it out of my mind since I made my post so I'm going to need to write down what I think will happen from Wano onwards. I'll put it in a spoiler tag so people can ignore it if they want (although I'd be interested in others thoughts).
! Post Wano
All of the Wano characters and Minks will remain at Wano while the Kidd pirates leave to do whatever (maybe go after Shanks)? Law however, wants to know the truth of the Will of D so I think he will strike a deal with Luffy. Law will go and search for the 4th poneglyph so Luffy can focus on continuing his adventure. In exchange for this though, Law wants to go with Luffy to Laugh Tale. Luffy will agree to this and we'll see Law's escapades in a cover story during Elbaf. I think everyone will find out the news from the reverie at this point but they'll only know what the newspaper reported, not the truth. The news will claim Sabo died but Luffy has Sabo's vivre card still so he knows that isn't true.
! Ace's grave
So after Wano I think we'll have a Straw Hat focused mini-arc + Marco. They'll go with Marco to Whitebeards home to see Ace's grave. But when they arrive they find a stand-off between Weevil, who had come to find Marco and get Whitebeards fortune, and the marines who are trying to hunt Weevil down. Some vice admiral will lose the fight but after the Straw Hats arrive Luffy and Weevil will begin fighting. It will be a proper fight but it won't be treated as a big deal and by the end of it, Weevil and Luffy will have bonded.
! Garp will have been called in to deal with Weevil but as Luffy has dealt with it already, Garp and Luffy just have a family moment by Ace's grave. Here, Garp also shares with Luffy what actually happened at Reverie, both to Sabo and Vivi. I suspect Sabo has been captured while CP0 attempted to assassinate Vivi but got Cobra instead (I'm going to call that its Spandam specifically who ends up killing Cobra, just to make him more hateable) however Vivi escaped, either due to Shanks or was saved by Sai and Leo. She is with one of the two, however as far as everyone else there understands, she was kidnapped by pirates.
! Either way the arc ends with Weevil being convinced by his mother to fight again but his new friendship with Luffy calms him down and they end up leaving the island, chased by the marines. Straw Hats decide to go to Elbaf and leave Marco behind.
Elbaf This arc has Big Mom as the main antagonist and wraps up her story. She'll actually be defeated here. It will also be a big arc for Usopp where we will actually get his Haki that Dressrosa hinted at confirmed. The straw hats will remeet Harjudin and if Vivi was with Sai and Leo instead of Shanks, this is where she will rejoin the Straw Hats. The arc will mainly be more lore building for the series, but there will be some kind of conflict with Loki, the giant prince first before Big Mom arrives. I'm not sure on the exact details but I think this arc will be its own self-contained story for the most part. Urogue might also play a role here, purely because I don't know where else he can be added to get a role in the story.
! Vegapunk This arc will be the introduction for Vegapunk, the formal introduction for Green Bull and also show us the project Vegapunk was working on to replace the Warlords. Smoker and Tashigi will return here, as will Bonney and Kuma. Before this however, we will see Sabo and the revolutionaries again when the revolutionaries perform a surprise assault on Mariejous or Marineford. We will also get to see Dragons powers here. Anyway the Vegapunk arc will be focused on Awakening Devil Fruits and the lineage factor. CP-0 reported Dragon Momo to Vegapunk and this confirmed he could clone devil fruits properly, and now they want to clone the Gum Gum Fruit to help with their gigantification experiments. I don't think Vegapunk will be a villain character but there will need to be some conflict. Maybe CP-0? Or Vegapunk tests out his new weapons on the straw hats.
! Shanks Law will return here and they'll have the full map to Laugh Tale. However before they can get there they'll meet Shanks. I think Luffy needs to meet Shanks before he can become Pirate King, so before Laugh Tale. Obviously, if Shanks is the one who took Vivi rather than Sai then this is where she is reintroduced. I suspect it will be a Davy Back Fight type deal at first, allowing the Straw Hats to compete in friendly matches against Shanks' crew. On the Straw Hats side, they have to bet the map of Laugh Tale however on Shanks' side - they will have captured Bartolomeo and his crew, a follow-up from them having burnt Shanks flag in that cover story. Blackbeard will show up and disrupt things here. In the end, Luffy, Law's and Bartolomeo's crew leave to head to Laugh Tale while Shanks' crew faces off against Blackbeards.
! Laugh Tale Finally all the secrets are revealed of the void century. The eyepatch character Oda hinted at appears and Eneru also returns in this arc as its villain (as I'm sure Laugh Tale is connected to the moon and Lunarians/Skypeians).
! All Blue / Final War The final arc. This arc starts with Lodestar island. I don't think Bartolomeo will have gone with them to Laugh Tale but instead has basically called a meeting of the Grand Fleet. Luffy and Law meet up with them and they come up with the plan to destroy the red line. However, the Straw Hats will keep going forward fast, looping the world so that Luffy can officially be the pirate king. From this point on its sort of a quick speed through the grand line to collect allies. While the grand fleet does this in the new world, the Straw Hats reunite Brook and Laboon, meet Dory and Brogy again, visit Drum, take Vivi back to Alabasta, etc, until they end up back at Fishman Island.
! The battle with Blackbeard takes place here and results in Fishman Island being destroyed and then eventually gets taken up to Mariejou for a confrontation with Im. There's obvious Marine conflict at some point here but it all results in the Red Line being destroyed, the government taken down and the All Blue being created. Cue epilogue.
! Final shot is Luffy giving his Straw Hat to someone and then him and the Straw Hats, now a bit older, sailing off for a new adventure.
! It's not perfect, potentially Elbaf and Vegapunk could be combined, but I think its a good outline for what to expect.

The Message !
I really love One Piece (obviously), but I also kind of want Oda to… rest? His work is insane and I just want him to finish his last panel and be able to lay down and think: "yeah, I've created my masterpiece".
And maybe, in the future, write other great (shorter) manga.
Time to say goodbye, oda said 5 years in 2017 so only 1 year left.

Oh absolutely. He has to. And not just for "cover story characters come back most of the time", he's really important. (Rather his DF is).
Toei made a huge blunder when they didn't adapt that cover story. Huge implications for One Piece all the way back in 2008, and when the anime-only people see it they might think it's out of nowhere.

I love theorizing about headcanon and I think at least something what you thought about might very well happen in some form. Here's my view on this:
! Ace's grave
This was so obvious that I haven't even thought about this, of course Luffy would want to go visit Ace's grave at some point. I definitely think you are right about this happening right after Wano + the Weevil stuff. Adding retired Garp to the mix is kinda too much though unless Dragon too comes with them.
! Wano
Big Mom will actually be defeated (at least temporarily) in this arc since the big banquet can't really happen if they have one of the Yonko running after them. She might return in Elbaf as a side-villain if her crew manages to escape with her.
The most interesting part what I think might happen is that Dragon and revolutionaries will come to Wano to fight off CP-0 from capturing Straw Hats and we will have the long awaited reunion of father and son (family seems to be a recurring theme in Wano so it would make sense) and on post Wano learn bits what happened during the reverie and we might have a mini-arc (God Valley) in our hands before Elbaf that ends with a visit to Ace's grave with Sabo and perhaps even Vivi too.
! I would love to see Law stay relevant to the story this way and take detour for the Poneglyph and make a promise to meet them at Lodestar, but it's way more likely that the final piece is safe at Elbaf or with Shanks (maybe both) and that the pirate alliance will end here.
My theory is that Vegapunk will be introduced after the banquet as Wano's borders will open and he will come with escorts to cure Smile epidemic. I mean why would Oda not make our lovable sword otaku visit Wano?
Vegapunk His own arc is definitely not happening in the sense, but he is clearly important character we will definitely see again after post Wano.
Gold Valley I can see this being a mini-arc about Revolutionaries, Vivi and mainly Dragon and his motives.
Shanks I suspect as much that it might go something like this, but just in Elbaf not after it. Elbaf Rather than having two arcs just for Big Mom, I think this will be mainly Shanks' arc and Blackbeard's partially since it will 100% sure to be all about honor and I really can't see it not anything less than at least 10 volume fable as it's literally GIANT island. I mean it could hold more top tier fights at once than we can imagine.
Although I think you are probably right about Big Mom and her crew getting demolished here (as a side mission), if she is not stopped during Wano. This could earn Straw Hats the respect of giants too so the supposedly antagonist Loki would turn to their ally.
I think Straw Hats will also fight Blackbeard Pirates for the first time here, but lose miserable and Shanks crew will fight them to their death (doesn't have to return hat this way).

This is mostly just pure headcanon orgy from my part as the final war at Marijoa might just be side characters along with Revolutionaries to storm Tenryuubito and their allies down.
The final war might not in a sense happen for Straw Hats aside from Robin at all unless Imu & Gorosei are actually pirates and owns the One Piece all along or that Blackbeard steals the One Piece and uses the Ancient "Weapons" to ally or subjugate Imu.
What I agree with you tho is that Red Line will fall on the spot Laboon had been bashing for 50 years as it will be a "romantic" to have the massive unbreakable thing fall while Binks Sake is sung. I don't know how, when or why, but it will happen. I also agree that Fishman Island will be destroyed as part of the grand plan meant for Ancient "Weapons".

It could go like this: Blackbeard follows Straw Hats to Laugh Tale or the other way around and learn the history and everything then they will have their 2nd battle (first being their complete loss at Elbaf). They will lose again, but not as hard and Blackbeard will escape with info on Ancient "Weapons" and go on with his world domination plan. However Straw Hats will now have the real history and the info on how to use the Ancient "Weapons" like intended and goes on to stop Blackbeard at the heart of WG - Marijoa with help of all their friends. End result will be that is they win and fulfill the purpose of Ancient "Weapons" and then have one helluva party.
30th anniversary should be ideal for the ending. So, 2027 for me.
