RE: Chapter 1087: Battleship Bags
The Great Arlong Park Character Strength Paradox:
[CHARACTER A] is said to be really strong.
[CHARACTER B] is said to be really strong.
If [CHARACTER A] gets the upper hand over [CHARACTER B], then clearly [CHARACTER B] is incredibly weak.
If [CHARACTER B] gets the upper hand over [CHARACTER A], then clearly [CHARACTER A] is incredibly weak.
Ergo, characters who are said to be really strong should not fight each other, because one of them will be declared incredibly weak.
Rinse and repeat every arc for the past twelve years.

RE: Chapter 1067: Punk Records
Lucci's going to take off his mask and Luffy will not recognize him even after Chopper reminds him.
Luffy will, however, recognize Hattori.

RE: Chapter 1080: The Hero of Legend
Garp picked up the ship, threw at in the general direction of Fullalead, and then jumped on it while it was flying, like Tao Pai Pai.

WHITEBEARD: My allies are my new family, and I treat each of them as a beloved child.
BIG MOM: My allies are my literal family, and I treat each of them as a somewhat-useful tool.
KAIDOU: My allies are these freakshow fuckers who will happily have giraffes growing out their asses if it means they get a little stronger.
TEACH: My allies are fellow serial killers, psychopaths, and ne'er-do-wells.
SHANKS: My allies are side characters from a 1980s gag manga. They're not strong but we just vibe together, man.

My theory is that Imu looks like Lord Farquad.

RE: Chapter 1079: The Emperor's Crew, the Red-Haired Pirates
Big Mom took both Law and Kid to beat her and she was already worn out from all the other bullshit that happened to her on Wano.
It took Luffy three tries to beat Kaidou, and he only managed it by accidentally tapping into his fruit's full power.
We're seeing Shanks just utterly obliterate a single person who was already characterized as frequently biting off more than he can chew, and Shanks previously fought off Kaidou back during Marineford.
I genuinely have no idea what people want at this point when it comes to endgame players.

RE: Chapter 1080: The Hero of Legend
Nonzero chance Garp tries some cherry pie in Fullalead and declares that it tastes like shit.

RE: Season 2 (and Beyond?) Speculation Thread (Spoilers)
3 episodes for Jaya and all the important things that happen during it (you can skimp on Skypeia as much as I hate to admit it, but you really cannot skimp on Jaya), 1 episode of getting to Skypeia, 4 episodes of Skypeia itself with the last episode being the party and return to the surface, seems simple enough.

Dear god in heaven give me Jamie Lee Curtis arguing with a Chopper muppet.

RE: Season 2 (and Beyond?) Speculation Thread (Spoilers)
The ideal person to play Crocodile was Scott Hall, but he's dead so they can cast literally anyone else and it'll be fine so long as the sand FX are okay.

RE: Episode 8 (Worst in the East) - Discussion
Garp works well enough in this adaption that I wonder if Oda has had regrets about not having him around sooner.
Also him being Scottish and Luffy being Mexican makes me want to see what wild-ass accent Dragon has. Jamaican? Icelandic? Brooklyn?

Kizaru has come off to me as the only high-ranking Marine who's doing it more for a paycheck than anything else.

Is the baby's laugh supposed to be recognizable ?
It laughs with kyahaha (きゃはは). I know a lot of characters use gyahaha, not sure about kya.
Apparently Dellinger laughs like that.
Dellinger is also blonde.
Ergo we can only conclude that Makino shacked up with Dellinger.

RE: Chapter 1088: Final Lesson
There is no way Oda killed off Garp with his last interaction with his grandson being letting himself get knocked out at Marineford.

RE: One Piece Live-Adaptation Drama Announced

Still, and maybe this is just a nitpick, in that last scene withe the bounty posters...why Bellamy? Yeah, there's a few there but Bellamy's is front and center, if not a bit worn down. There's no way this series gets that far even if it's a hit. Why shown him then? Sure it could just be a reference, but it's weird they pick a Grandline pirate from later in the series when there's at least a few East Blue pirates to pick from.
They're more likely to get to Bellamy than Foxy or Cavendish.
