You sound so proud Rudy, proud to have helped in one of the most shameful and immoral acts in this country's history that numerous legal experts are pointing out was put together with chewing gum and paper clips.

This was part was kind of amusing.
Awful human being: This isn't the Saudi Arabia of 2000, 2001, 2002. President Obama is dealing with a new Saudi Arabia –
PIRRO: President Trump.
Awful human being: President Trump, rather, is dealing with a very different Saudi Arabia

White House: No mention of Jews on Holocaust remembrence day because others were killed too
http://edition.cnn.com/2017/01/28/politics/white-house-holocaust-memorial-day/index.htmlWhy does that so oddly sound like some form of Political Correctness? I thought Trump and his administration were supposed to do away with Political Correctness!
Of course, it's not like they care about any of the groups that were harmed in the Holocaust.

People should just stop trying to interview Kellyanne Conway because she refuses to answer a single question, as Chris Wallace learned first hand this morning.
Also the timeline of Good Ol Rudy G
-
Not a joke.
The President of Breitbart, Steve Bannon, a well known bigot, who is now Trump's Chief Strategist, just put himself on the National Security Council & removed the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the National Director of Intelligence.

They're still celebrating that they took down the corrupt DNC. Not even kidding.
And pretending their shit don't stink.
People should just stop trying to interview Kellyanne Conway because she refuses to answer a single question, as Chris Wallace learned first hand this morning.
Her job isn't to answer questions though it's to justify, rationalize, & normalize Trump's actions and words. Using deflections, logical fallacies, and lies.
@Monkey:
But at least emails emails Goldman Sachs speeches russia emails huh?
And no more of the mean democrats picking on or ignoring all the independents.

As much as I love this, I feel the need to keep reminding myself that this is how Trump won. For me at least, I thought he was done after that certain "grabbing-that-thing-in Femme's-avatar" recording showed up. I'm not getting taken off guard like that again.
Also, there's a petition from the UK calling to cancel his visit. I really hope this works.

So you mean his claims about molesting women because he's rich and famous. Gotcha.

There was a big protest in Boston's Copley Square today. I was only able to catch the tail end of it, but it was still fantastic to see.

"I’ll tell you the whole history of it: When he first announced it, he said ‘Muslim ban,'" Giuliani said on Fox News.
"He called me up, he said, ‘Put a commission together, show me the right way to do it legally.’"
Giuliani said he then put together a commission that included lawmakers and expert lawyers.
"And what we did was we focused on, instead of religion, danger," Giuliani said."The areas of the world that create danger for us, which is a factual basis, not a religious basis. Perfectly legal, perfectly sensible."
WOW…
Shit, just.. wow.

Dulles airport in Virginia is apparently still trucking ahead with defying the courts and being immense fascist shitheads, who are by this point in contempt of court.
-
Only a matter of time until they bring up the apocryphal "Judge Marshall made his decision, let him enforce it" statement.
-
I'm absolutely ashamed of that airport. I'm ashamed of a lot of people in this country but especially my home airport.
-
@Monkey:
Dulles airport in Virginia is apparently still trucking ahead with defying the courts and being immense fascist shitheads, who are by this point in contempt of court.
As the night wore on, it became increasingly clear that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) was defying Judge Brinkema’s ruling. Lawyers concluded that that meant someone was in contempt of court. The judge could theoretically send in federal law enforcement officers to force CBP to let the lawyers meet with the detainees. But sending in the U.S. Marshals—who are part of the Department of Justice—to take on Customs and Border Patrol—which is part of the Department of Homeland Security—would have been an unprecedented bureaucratic clash of the titans.
-
Dulles isn't the only one either, still detainees at JFK for example.

I have reservations about how much we can count on law enforcement in this or any situation where Trump is concerned regardless of branch after how much they supported him during the election.

If he's such a fucking fan of Pixar (poor Pixar . . .) then he should learn some of the morals their movies try to preach.

This is a funny story, but it's probably just Downing Street doing damage control over May and Trump walking hand in hand a couple hours before he lit the world on fire.

That's always been a major divergence between Establishment Republicans and the teabagger crowd; the latter loves them some swaggering authoritarism and swoons over Putin, the older GOP guys still hate Russia.
As a fairly socially libertarian centrist within the british political spectrum, I have to find the Dem's (and the American's more generally) stance on Russia mystifying. I'd argue that a libertarian view on foreign policy, with non-interventionist, live and let live attitudes to all other countries would be far far better than the US's traditionally righteous 'world policeman' stance.
On russia in particular, Why oh why do you continue this unwarranted policy of antipathy, which clearly maps out the route to a Nuclear war? It doesn't make sense! It's pointless! Stop already!
This is the one point where Trump is on the mark. Make peace with Russia, fight the common enemy, and start rebuilding the relationship. Antipathy and cold-war esque stances help neither the US not Russia. Why continue?
There are so many better ways to handle the situation than intentionally making negative remarks towards Putin and Russia more generally. If you just stopped, the Russian (people) might change their attitude utter hate for America. Putin would no longer be able to point to his people's wishes when he interferes with American democracy (because Hillary was a war hawk and incredibly, almost obtusely anti-russia, much like Romney.). Hell, in what world would amicable relationships NOT be ideal!?
It seems to me that the only real reason Dems are so anti-Russia just because they're partisan. I understand that Crimea happened, I understand that the DNC hack happened, but by god, what on earth is the aim of all the sanctions? Trying to get as many russians as possible to the hate the US? Because that's all it seems to achieve!
EDIT: and can we please stop the Pixar bashing, just because it's Trump? It's bullshit. Everyone, including adults, loves Pixar. Don't you fucking dare put their name in the mud just because Trump just so happened to watch one of their movies. It's not fair. Pixar is love, whether Trump is involved or not. So stop insulting him based on the Pixar thing. If anything, criticise the fact he's watching movies instead of working when the world's going to shit.
-
No one's bashing Pixar. I mean, everyone in this forum is here because of an anime based on a rubber pirate, who here would even hate Pixar?
They just find it ironic that Trump doesn't take the films' messages to heart.
-
…...Yeah I don't know how the Pixar comments could be construed as "Pixar Bashing".
This is the one point where Trump is on the mark. Make peace with Russia,
Yeah make peace with a country run by an asshole, who helps prop up other assholes Trump included.
fight the common enemy,
The media? cause both Trump and Putin are good at doing it the latter more effective that the former.
and start rebuilding the relationship.
Why do people keep pretending our relationship with Russia was much much better before Obama came around? We've never been anything more than tenuous allies at best.
Antipathy and cold-war esque stances help neither the US not Russia. Why continue?
Cause Russia can't stop doing stupid and tacky things.
There are so many better ways to handle the situation than intentionally making negative remarks towards Putin and Russia more generally.
Like Putin and the Russian government not stealing land that's not Russia's or helping dictators or interfering in elections and helping to elevate an unqualified hack (and his cronies who have ties to him and his government) to the presidency of the U.S.?
If you just stopped, the Russian (people) might change their attitude utter hate for America.
….They're likely going to be inclined to hate us if their news networks most if not all of which are state run are feeding them propaganda that makes us look bad and their president look good.
Putin would no longer be able to point to his people's wishes when he interferes with American democracy (because Hillary was a war hawk and incredibly, almost obtusely anti-russia, much like Romney.)
If she were anti Russian or rather anti-putin she'd have legit reason to be. Also people need to give this "she wanted a war with russia" rhetoric a break it's one of the of many arguments that not only constantly repeated ad-nasueam but also utter bullshit with no basis.
Hell, in what world would amicable relationships NOT be ideal!?
2nd post pretty much sums up why this wouldn't pan out to the extent you think it would. Trump and Putin are two people who could care less about their own countries in the position they're in and more about themselves and their cronies.
It seems to me that the only real reason Dems are so anti-Russia just because they're partisan. I understand that Crimea happened, I understand that the DNC hack happened, but by god, what on earth is the aim of all the sanctions?
My guess is to cripple them economically so they can't just throw money into doing things…..like annexing land that doesn't belong to them or helping morally dubious leaders.
It seems to me that the only real reason Dems are so anti-Russia just because they're partisan.
Which isn't the reason and also ignores the fact that half of Republicans aren't big on them either.
-

I'd argue that a libertarian view on foreign policy, with non-interventionist, live and let live attitudes to all other countries would be far far better than the US's traditionally righteous 'world policeman' stance.
Russia does not abide by live and let live.
On russia in particular,
You mean the first country since Saddam Hussein's Iraq to annex foreign soil through military means? That Russia? Yeah, truly a mystery why they are singled out.
Why oh why do you continue this unwarranted policy of antipathy,
What are you fucking kidding? I mean I know Western Europeans can get to imagining Eastern Europe as a distant fictional land populated by martians but holy shit wow.
Maybe Putin ought to swipe Sicily or Wales from whichever country you wanna identify with right now and we'll see how comfortable you are talking like this.which clearly maps out the route to a Nuclear war?
No it fucking doesn't. What an unbeleivably dumb fiction this is.
It doesn't make sense! It's pointless! Stop already!
You probably laughed a bit at the idea of Sicily or Wales being invaded. Do you think other regions can laugh like this?
This is the one point where Trump is on the mark. Make peace with Russia, fight the common enemy,
Russia has killed indirectly or directly far far more Europeans than ISIS has.
It's just they come from a poor former Soviet nation that you don't give a fuck about. Well aside from that plane of Dutch people, if you even remember that.
Oh yeah and the conflict involved is still going.
Also Russia is funding and supporting the rise of autocratic far-right elements throughout western Europe and North America. Meaning they are directly attacking western values in a very substantial way that ISIS can only dream of by comparison.
But yeah sure, not an enemy. Not to anyone that matters or anything.
Hey actually riddle me this. Why should I give a fuck if ISIS blows up a cafe in Milan when you don't give a fuck about Russian backed militiamen firing mortars into Mariupol? Like for me as an American what's the difference here?and start rebuilding the relationship.
Sure. When the Russian government is actually not behaving horribly and aggressively that would be great.
Antipathy and cold-war esque stances help neither the US not Russia. Why continue?
The Trump position is Russia getting to do what it wants as it's been doing. So Russia doesn't change anything, the west does. This is not two sides talking things down.
There are so many better ways to handle the situation than intentionally making negative remarks towards Putin and Russia more generally.
Negative actions bring negative remarks.
If you just stopped, the Russian (people) might change their attitude utter hate for America.
The Russian people will be told and fed anti-American propaganda for exactly as long as Putin deems it useful for his ends. It has almost nothing whatsoever to do with actual reality.
Putin would no longer be able to point to his people's wishes when he interferes with American democracy
lol you think Russians aren't fully in state media control and will have counter-narratives reaching them.
(because Hillary was a war hawk and incredibly, almost obtusely anti-russia, much like Romney.)
It's obtuse to you because you apparently are both wildly clueless and/or heavily dismissive about Eastern Europeans being people equal to Western Europeans (aside of course from Russians).
It seems to me that the only real reason Dems are so anti-Russia just because they're partisan.
The entire narrative of Democrats being particularly anti-Russian is bullshit concocted by the alt-right/populist movement people. And as in the past you've lapped up their garbage seemingly without question or consideration.
I understand that Crimea happened,
Oh wow really? That's it? All that you are aware of in Ukraine? What the fuck makes you think you could discuss this topic. You are entirely unaware of this.
I understand that the DNC hack happened,
Yeah yeah, ok guys whoa, so they directly interfered in your democracy. Big deal!
but by god, what on earth is the aim of all the sanctions?
Seriously. Are you this goddamn clueless.
Hell, in what world would amicable relationships NOT be ideal!?
When Russia continues acting horribly. Which Trump is fine with.
As a fairly socially libertarian centrist within the british political spectrum
Because, truly, if there's anybody who knows that things work out perfectly well when you let a dictator have what he wants, it's the British. Nothing in their history to contradict that. No sir.
