I assume they tried to clone Crocodile but the result was just a bananadile since he just gave them a fake blood sample.

RE: American Politics: A Brand New Day
Been a lot happening since we were last here so let's go down the list.
- Everything Hillary said about the Supreme Court and Trump was correct.
- Everyone who said not to worry about the Court taking away rights was wrong,
- The only way out of it is elect more Democrats to office.
- Everything a Republican politician accuses somebody else of doing, that politician is doing and probably on a much worse level.
- Biden had one of the best two week periods of any Presidency in decades and did it while recovering from Covid,
That should catch you up.

RE: American Politics: A Brand New Day
"Okay, sure, one party is trying to erase certain groups entirely from the public sphere, has been blocking environmental and social progress for decades, and is openly associating itself with authoritarian groups while the other isn't. But how does any of that affect my sense of detached entitlement?"

RE: My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
Gentle works for me as a character simply because he actually legitimately feels like somebody the hero system failed because his Quirk and skill set didn't match their expectations of what a hero should be.

For what it's worth, that's pretty much what destroyed Numenor in the Silmarillion.

RE: American Politics: A Brand New Day
The FBI took his passports while searching Mar-a-Lago the other day. Multiple passports. No word yet on if they're under different names or for different countries.
Most likely one passport was an official one and one a personal one but the official one should probably still have been left with NARA.
The main thing is that at least somebody apparently considered him a flight risk or they wouldn't have bothered.

I'm confused. What were Aoyama and Hagakure doing?
Hagakure's invisibility comes from her ability to refract and reflect light so she's acting as a focusing crystal and rebounding his laser.

RE: The Super Mario Bros. Movie
Their options at this point are:
- Koopalings/Bowser, Jr. break out Bowser.
The Koopalings tap into the nostalgia market but I could see Nintendo insisting on Junior.
- Wario
Second most prominent Mario villain obviously. Not sure if they think he could carry a film as the main villain or not though.
- Wart
Nostalgia value pretty much though it would let you introduce a world unconnected to the Mushroom Kingdom.
- Tatanga
Surprise villain that also lets you introduce other lands and but also gives Daisy a way into the series.
- Smithy
Well, there is a RPG remaster coming so he'll still be fresh in people's minds. He's a huge threat that would justify letting out Bowser as well.

No matter what they said I think we were all well aware that Miyazaki's going to work until he drops dead at a drawing desk.

Zod and his army of evil kryptonians predate Invincible by a fair bit. Along with Braniac.
Kinda funny that Zod was just a single page throwaway character for a Superboy comic about the Phantom Zone Generator that they later realized had a lot more potential.
I don't think they ever brought back his army of Bizarros though.

Keep in mind Republicans in Kentucky pulled strings to ensure that if and when McConnell steps down a Republican automatically gets his seat.
And this guy will not ride off into the sunset.
I think McConnell is well aware that that Beshear might just appoint who he wants on the grounds that legislation not only violates Kentucky's state constitution but the 17th Amendment itself since it would basically be the state legislature appointing the Senator as, if I remember right, they provide the Governor a shortlist of acceptable candidates.
@Jabberwok said in American Politics: A Brand New Day:
That has to violate the Interstate Commerce Act. Absolutely ridiculous.
Also violates a bunch of Civil Rights Acts along with the 14th Amendment. Of course the idea of restricting travel to prevent abortions was something people were warning about years ago only to get dismissed as being unrealistic.

@Satsuki said in Disney animation thread:
Tangled is TOO EARLY. Live-action remakes should have a rule of having to be like at least 20 years old. And they have fucking 61 animated films to choose from the canon, god forbid they choose something older.
Aren't they remaking Lilo and Stitch as well or is that another one destined to be unceremoniously dumped on Disney+ like their Lady & The Tramp remake?
Actually, how many films do they have left to remake at this point? At least, how many of their films that people actually care about?

RE: European Politics Thread
Really high chance every single person on the passenger manifest was a war criminal since most of his bodyguards had fought in Syria.
And, unsurprisingly from that callname, he was also a Neo-Nazi.
