I want to give a little bit of credit to Eri's resolve.
A child injuring herself like that to help the hero who once saved her?
That kinda tugs at my heart bro.

RE: Chapter 1058: New Emperors
I think it's because the only reason Luffy took them on the plunge is because someone goaded him into doing so.
Luffy and Law were perfectly fine taking the guaranteed and safe route, until Kidd mocked them. That ego-driven decision had a strong statistical chance of killing the entire crew, after they already survived the scary raid.
He literally risked everyone's lives for no good reason, they could have died for nothing of importance.
So I actually understand that Nami has full rights to be extremely pissed.I'm genuinely shocked that her actions are being associated with bossiness,
when this is actually the most justified she's been in a long time.TL;DR: Luffy suffering a consequence for his buffoonery makes sense to me.
Buffoonery is entertaining to the reader, sure. But from the perspective of characters like Nami,
I can't be mad at her for throttling him. -
RE: My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
I just love that Ochako took her regrets over Toga and turned them into preventative action,
expanding quirk counseling to help more kids not turn out that way. Feels right for her. -
RE: Chapter 1058: New Emperors
I laughed my ass off imagining the future use this panel could get during elections.

Makes him Deku in a lot of ways.
He messes up sometimes, he's rough around the edges,
but his heart and effort are always there to see as he tries to bring his story over the finish line. -
RE: Chapter 1061: Future Island Egghead
Dunno if anyone's brought this up already,
but a part of me wonders if Chopper and Luffy are in the same group because they're BOTH Hito Hito users,
so they can both witness information at the same time if Luffy's fruit gets more discussion/elaboration.
Would be interesting to get Chopper's comments on it,
as someone who experimented with his own fruit and broke the three transformations rule. -

Thank goodness La Brava and Gentle got a get out of jail free card.
I love that my prayers were answered and Nagant can also leave when she chooses to.
It never sat right with me that she was raised to kill FOR the government,
eventually said "hey, this is actually kinda fucked... can I resign bro?"
then legitimately defended herself from being murked/silenced on the spot,
and ended up locked away in super prison.I'm SO glad that she won't be forced to stay imprisoned anymore.
This was one of the few things I needed to see. -
RE: The next arc: what will it be?
Well, for me the main thing that's been happening post-TS is "Yeah there were some rough moments, but overall I liked or loved that."
But then Wano was like "There were moments I liked or loved, but overall that was rough."
Which is definitely a step down, but I'm hopeful that we'll now get back to "rough moments, but liked the overall arc".

RE: Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss
By the way, concerning the discourse about the show being rushed:
I personally think that general audiences have just become too familiar with long-form storytelling in their media,
so when you get stuff like this (which I believe, like a true musical, is intended to be short-form storytelling with a snappy soundtrack),
it can feel jarring and rushed to anyone unprepared for it.In terms of a narrative? Yes it's fast.
In terms of a musical? It's absolutely par for the course.
Perception of what the show is going for is the key difference IMO.It also doesn't help when some people have had years to theorize and headcanon about the lore and characters,
so it rubs them the wrong way when something is breezed past that they wanted a multi-episode arc to focus on! XDBut as someone who came in knowing nothing,
the intent of the production seems obvious to me and I guess I'm very much here for it.
It also helps that I adore musicals in general. -
RE: Chapter 1058: New Emperors
It's the same as growing up and realizing Squidward has a point in most Spongebob episodes,
and is often justified in objecting to the idiocy going on around him.Nami, due to the immense responsibility and burden she took upon herself from childhood,
to work with her own mother's KILLER no less, had to grow up and mature super fast.
She has always been in the best position to feel frustrated with the consequences of Luffy's childish carelessness.

Very cute and heartwarming stuff.
The way this series successfully blends quirkiness with earnest charm is always impressive.I love when we see Rentarou display his romantic devotion.
Also, that final panel was diabetes on paper.
Nozawa makes her characters look so soft and pretty when she illustrates these focus chapters.Lots of hilarious quips in this chapter too!

I love that gathering so many character quirks in one place often results in combo chains.
It's an element I grow fonder and fonder of over time. -

I'm notorious for having very base level standards, and yeah...
Reborn fucking wounded me. Especially because I was a fan of the cast and liked a lot of the battles.
But then that ending, holy crap what a slap in the face.
