If the time skip was 50% and the two arcs following it were 10% totalling to 60% done, does that mean there are only 8 more arcs? two arcs to every ten percent?
Chapter 733: "What Mr. Soldier Wants"

Their traduction are considered better than mangapanda and mangastream.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Do we know whether the one Gatz is talking about was on the ground or already standing? Or is it up to interpretation.
http://read.powermanga.org/read/one_piece/en/0/733/page/18 They were all on the ground.
-
Sorry if this was already mentioned earlier but did King Riku somehow avoid getting turned into a toy? Gatz is still calling Rebecca "King Riku's Granddaughter", so clearly the memory of King Riku is still present in everyone's minds, right?
Unless I'm completely missing something here, which is most likely the case.
-
Why did someone say Admiral in D block?
-
That mass destruction could only be done by a Pyromaniac

The people of dressrosa need Riku's memory so they will always remember the heroic actions of dofla. So I guess trebol and sugar purposely did't turn him into a toy.

Riku is not a toy. He can be seen talking to Chinjao, for what reason he should escape that fate, I don't know.
EDIT: good point up here, I second that.
-
Why did someone say Admiral in D block?
It was Commodore
Orlumbus = Commodore of the Yonta Maria grand fleet -

Are you thinking he's been turned into a toy because he's in the dungeon? It seems like they haven't done it to most people yet.
-
Maybe it's Moriah stealing their shadow?

Trebol would never let King Riku be turned into toy, ofc he's gonna use him against violet who seems to be heading towards the palace since the past few chapters..

Pretty sure the fights are fought during daytime, which means their bodies would started to burn had their shadows been stolen..
-
Very nice chapter. Trebol might have a honey or chocolate fruit.

Well in the war, the soldiers shadows were stolen and they didn't burn…... I know he's back, leave me alone

Chapter 733 Color Spread HQ (by redon).
"Color Spread 733 MQ.jpg". Something's off here :ninja:
Thank you very much redon. -
The actual word is teitoku - it's a different word from the marine ranks commodore (junsho) and admiral (taisho). It's the same word used for Don Krieg and Noland, and as far as I can tell basically means the leader of a fleet.
Thanks for that. For a second I thought there was an Admiral and that's how everyone lost at the end. I haven't been reading posts lately but is Rebecca the last standing?
-

That would seem to be the case - I don't think Riku is gonna be turned into a toy though, it just presents a lot of weird memory problems. Like if everyone on Dressrosa forgets that the reason Doflamingo is in charge because of Riku's supposed cruelty, I feel like people wouldn't have any idea why Doffy was even there. Seems like it would be something of a tactical error.

Sabo spoke this chapter <3

Since there's no thread for it may aswell post it here, Volume 73 is coming out on March 4th 2014, source:http://www.shonenjump.com/j/comics/next.html

What do you guys think of Nolan? Leo said indiretly that he could take out Sea Kings. We saw in his flashback that he could take out easily a giant snake while zorro and viper werent able to do a thing against it. Were Nolan and Kalgara powerhouses?
-
The leopard costume may point to Meadows being an hyper fast bastard… maybe even a leopard smile or he skinned Lucci lol.
It's most likely a red herring though.

Luffy can defeat sea.king with just looking at them

Well about the snake, the thing is, that because of the growth that plants and animals of the blue sea know once they are in sky island, Nola was way bigger than Kaashi and his son (just like the south birds of upper yard are bigger than the south bird of jaya)

Wasn't that clear enough during the flashback?

I think there's a pun going with Orlumbus.
Orlumbus' name remind of Columbus, whose ship were Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria.
Here Oda says Orlumbus is commodor of the Yonta Maria fleet.
If you guys think San-Ta and Yon-Ta you might figure the pun.
San is 3 and Yon is one of the two ways of saying 4 (the other being Shi).
Maybe CCC could take a look at this. -
I thought about the Santa María as well when I read it. I don't know if it's a pun with san-yon like you say, though.
-
@Devil:
I thought about the Santa María as well when I read it. I don't know if it's a pun like you say, though.
I mean, what else would it be? A coincidence? It's pretty clear Orlumbus is based on Columbus, so Santa Maria - Yonta Maria would appear to be a completely intentional pun.
-
Maybe it's Moriah stealing their shadow?
in that case, there shouldn't be anyone left in the arena, since they are all in broad daylight
-

It all points towards Pun Festival with Orlumbus:
Decent chapter. Not sure if this was mentioned, but (Yon)te Maria is a pun on (San)ta Maria - Columbus' Ship. Yon is 4 and san is 3. There was already the pun with (Ou)lumbus vs (Ko)lumbus, Small vs Big. Atleast that's what I think the intent was based on what little Japanese I know. CCC can clarify, probably. It must be pretty fun actually knowing Japanese and understanding all the puns Oda throws.
-

I know, I don't even know why I said that. Need more sleep

No he cant and never does. Beating maybe.

Yeah i thought the same. Of course Nola was bigger and way stronger.

It depends on what you mean^^

About the guy, let's start with what we surely know: Sabo knows who he/she is, or better, for some reasons the Revolutionary Army knows him/her but just from rumors.

actually,we don't know if the rumor he heard are about said person.
he could have heard about the particular fighting style/ability that made that possible. -
we have 2 weeks to discuss this….well, let's the carnage begin.....
also WTF is all the meadows talk and where did it come from? Is it b/c his mouth similar??? Is that it!?

Mouth, beard, animal cloak appears to be a powerhouse if he is the one who destroyed the D-Block in an "blink of an eye"
-
I think it's pretty clear who won the round if we just look at the facts.
We know:
- That person/technique was very fast.
- Mangapanda is very fast.
That leads to the conclusion that the winner might be none other than: Pandaman!
-
Sorry, i din't read the whole thread but for me the winner is Meadows yes and he is a commander of Kaido who's using a cheetah fruit. His hat look like the hat of the two guys talking about this mysterious "Jack". And a cheetah match with the speed, scratchs and his hat. Also, sorry for my bad english…
-
Gats:“Someone is standing up!!!”
Does that mean this guy was already standing there and nobody noticed ?!
Or does it mean that he was laying around like others then he attempts to stand up? -
I'm also in the Meadows boat. His covered face and conspicuous "Gladiator" title screams someone in a disguise and he didn't appear so far. About the defaulted contestant, it might be that guy from Barto's crew that was beat up by Vice-admiral Maynard.
Edit: Now that I think about it, Damask wasn't seen either, his face is covered and he's just as mysterious…Oh well.
-
Damn it Oda. I missed a boxing lion for godsake.
-

It just doesn't seem like Kaido from what we have seen. If Kaido came to town, I could see him going to the coliseum, completely destroying it along with the people in there and starting to tank the last 3-4 characters and then walking casually and picking up the Mera Mera no Mi. No waiting, no hiding, just carnage.

Yes, now THIS is a theory I can believe in! Lets not forget that Pandaman is seen by fans but we've never seen any characters interact with him or acknowledge him so that is why Gatz didn't identify him:ninja:
Damn it Oda. I missed a boxing lion for godsake.
I was quite disappointed, I expected a fighting lion in the New World be far better than some tamed lion from East Blue that allows a jerk to ride on his back.
In other words… I really was looking forward seeing a lion many times stronger than Richie in the New World.

sorry, didn't see the 'he is a commander of Kaido 'part
-
I don't think cheetah fit with his "the strongest creature[?]" title.
Sorry, i was talking about Meadows being a member of the crew of Kaido using the cheetah fruit.
-
@AlM:
Sorry, i was talking about Meadows being a member of the crew of Kaido using the cheetah fruit.
but, even if he's a member of the crew of Kaido, some of fighters should have recognize him… unless he's completly a new character in the New World like Mr. Store.
-
I don't really see any member of Kaidou's crew showing up yet. They would be there as backup to protect the factory not to get Ace's fruit. Considering the SHs are there to destroy the factory and Kaidou sorta needs it for a big shipment his has coming up. Especially since the underground most likely knows what happened at Punk Hazard with the SAD factory and Caesar losing. The last factory would take priority over Ace's fruit.
As for anyone arguing it can't be Rebecca since she attacked people and that doesn't fit her style since she only dodges. She is totally against phsyically hitting someone. You forgot something really huge that destroys that arguement. She's in this tournament to get a "fire" DF power so she can personally use it to defeat Doflamingo. A fire power is not really a non-physical type of ability. You can't really use it without phsyically harming the person you are using it on. So typically she is against it but when the times come she will use force. The flashback even alluded to this since LS was actually hitting her so she can get a real sense of danger and that's when growth actually happens. So if it was Rebecca, she was getting beaten bad and then unleashed a speedy final desperation move on everyone. Which would account for why she fell down after she did it and why she has bruises.
-
16 chars of thank you Redon
-
Huh…well. Although there is a lot of compelling evidence to suggest Rebecca was the one who speedblitzed Block D, the small inconsistencies and also Oda's current tendency of confound our expectations with twists and reveals mean that personally my preference is that it was Meadows, a hitherto unknown Yonkou commander in disguise.
The inconsistencie have already been noted. Rebecca was never taught to throw herself into a suicide speed-blitiz but how to evade attacks instead. Also being able to speed-blitz notables such as Cavendish who was holding his own against an enraged Don Chinjao means she acquired a major power boost that was never demonstrated before.
Then comes the actual scene: we and the announcer see that some of the fog has cleared. So we see Rebecca (among others) lying there with the same scuff marks and bruises as the other contestants. That is shown on panel. But the announcer says that someone is standing up, in the smog. So did the smog come back, cover the area where Rebecca was lying and she then slowly got up? Or the announcer and the panel was showing a different part of the Collosseum, one still covered in smoke and fog and therefore it wasn't Rebecca? I support the latter.
Every block has had a disguised character. A = Burgess, B= Riku, C= Luffy, so D should follow suit, Meadows. Also if Burgess a Yonkou level commander is one of the four standing, then you have Sabo is possibly one of Dragon's top men innvolved, how does one preserve their hype? One way is to have Burgess vs another Yonkou commander (maybe Kaidou's or Big Mom's) and they both take each other out. Leaving Sabo and Bartolomeo with a clear path to Diamante. Diamante can defeat Barto showing how his epithet as 'hero of the Collosseum' is deserved, then in turn he gets his enel-face turn before it is smashed when Sabo reveals himself as not luffy.
Burgess's hype is preserved. Diamante's hype is confirmed and Sabo's hype is also preserved.
-
Whatever happened to Rolling Logan? He wasn't shown with the knocked down fighters this chapter. We last saw him fighting Rebecca, but the next time we saw Rebecca following that fight she was fighting other gladiators with Acilia. Is it safe to assume the Rebecca-Acilia alliance defeated him?
