So this thread has gone from being pissed at Gene's kid to Art Class With Robby?

@Cyan:

It's better than tracing.
-
Again did anyone has a link to his DA page?

Protip: It's on the first page.

and this

Is that crowd pic seriously a bunch of Bleach fans, or just a random pic off the internet? I wanna think the latter… But there's a lot of fruity colors going on in there.

Aw, get outta here.

Wait, in the top right hand corner of that, THAT is a Hellsing Panel. I've seen him Ripoff a lot from Hellsing, but that's the first direct panel steal I've seen, where is that?
-
that is most definitely a Hirano eye.
and yeah, that's actually the first direct panel trace i've seen from hellsing. The rest is just idea stealing

Volume 6, page 126, it's directly traced from Zorin's Eye. He made the eye a LITTLE More closed, but the shading under it is spot on.
Does anyone have the unedited incarnate page that came from? I wana catalog all the Hellsing-centric stuff he ripped off.

To be completely honest, I'm pretty sure he didn't trace any of this. Comics are typically drawn on art board, which does not lend itself well to tracing. You can tell, however, that the guy practically had the manga open right next to him, and kept looking over at it. When someone does this human xerox crap, they often fail to perfectly copy small discrepancies, like the exact distance between, say, the mouth and the nose. Just look at Fauxpachi over there. His mouth is much farther away from his nose than Kenpachi when he's doing his crazy laugh.
Doing this is actually more work than just tracing, which makes the guy look even worse when you realise it…
-
I don't understand why anyone's surprised… It's Gene Simmons' son...
I predict the next move to be Gene Simmons buying the rights to all of Bleach.

It could have been done digitally maybe…

He could be using this because most of the Bleach page really match the original drawing by Kubo. Doesn't look like he use a reference to me.

Is that face actually Kubo? I've never seen him before.
-
Another comparison–he ripped off Luffy getting impaled by Croc.

ShadowAngel4Ever (?) found a second one to add to that, too.

That is The Kubo Tite.

He sure suck even at tracing, lol.

One has to wonder how in the hell he expected people not to notice…

I'm not that good of an artist, but his anatomy sucks major ass. Makes you wonder how did that kind of shit paved the way for his work to be publicized. The tracing definitely did it, though.
-
Holy shit, look at the comments in that picture. There are people DEFENDING him…!
And as someone who is an artist: yes, his anatomy is quite awful.
-
Didn't look all that bad, nothing i would ever buy but i've seen worse.
-
So, has he addressed this AT ALL yet?!

That is all and I'm talking to you Nick. -

Alooooooot of the stuff from the beginning is Hellsing ripped. If I remember I'll try to make a comparison page, but there is one scene from the beginning that looks REALLLLLY similar to the scene where (they're both in profile view) Anderson and Alucard are face to face.
And I agree a lot of the things he did he probably copied, not trace, but there are a few things where the tracing is pretty evident, but like Schmeckie said, he most likely was sitting there copying the manga.
-
-
Probably saw all the negative comments, and left post-haste.

I think that's exactly it. He'll probably ditch that account now, lest the integrity of his craft be besmirched.
Off topic: Shmeckie, your avatar belongs in my Croc folder. I must know where you got it, for 'tis awesome.

Found it on Pixiv.

I've got the original somewhere looks But it might be on my other computer… ((yes it is, I'll post it tomorrow unless someone beats me to it))
((it's also turning into a "U mad?" meme on 4chan))
-
Apparently he's not apologizing for copying at all.

lol "certain fundamental imagery is common to all manga"? What a terrible excuse (though I suppose he had no excuse in the first place).
Hope this goes somewhere.

Seems like the internet mob will be out for vengeance again.

He lost me at "nature of the medium".

He lost me at "nature of the medium".
He lost me at "Like".
This dude is a jackass.
He's already caught on fire and now he's turning towards a gas station. Idiot.
-
wow… what a piece of shit.
-
There's no way he can get out of this without losing something, already lost whatever if any reputation/admiration he had. It's all a matter of time. He was caught and everyone knows it and he realistically can't do anything to fight or change any of this.
-
wow… what a piece of shit.

I would like to point out that my post has no similarity whatsoever to Gekko135's. I have never even read his work, though surely we are both inspired by work I admire. There are certain similarities between some of my work and the work of others. This was simply meant as an homage to artists I respect, and I definitely want to apologize to any Manga fans or fellow Manga artists who feel I went too far. My inspirations reflect the fact that certain fundamental imagery is common to all Manga. This is the nature of the medium.
-
He got One Piece into his clutches as well.
-
They already brought that up a few times in the other thread about this. Five steps behind:getlost:
-
Yeah, people have brought up the OP panels in the original thread too. I assume you saw it, but is it OK if I merge these threads together?
-
Ib4l .

lol, well done. Again.
But wow, can't believe that's all Nick has to say, hehe.

It is my opinion, and my opinion alone, there are no others like it in the world, that…
