Shaka basically has to have entrusted a failsafe to Dragon. Otherwise the idea of Vegapunk, the smartest guy in the world, having his "in case of my death" broadcast being transmitted from the island he's most likely to be killed at is just... unbelievably stupid.

RE: American Politics thread: No Nazis Allowed
It basically amounts to "Sure, he freed the slaves but what good does that do me?"
Or to use a quote from a CSPAN caller during yesterday's hearings: "Sure, Lincoln freed the slaves, but what Trump is doing is so much greater!"

GOP: The Mueller Report exonerates Trump!
Also GOP: 'Exonerate' means nothing!Cognitive dissonance is a scary thing.

@Lumpy's:
Michael Cohen has never represented me in any matter. I never retained him, received an invoice, or paid legal fees. I have occasionally had brief discussions with him about legal questions about which I wanted his input and perspective.
Well I guess he's not taking a page from Glorious Leader's playbook and citing attorney-client privilege then.

RE: Chapter 843: Vinsmoke Sanji
Right now I'm assuming Big Mom's "Zeus" and "Prometheus" are literally a living thundercloud and sun respectively. We saw she had an animated sun homie toward the beginning of the arc, so having a thundercloud homie as well would allow for her to control the weather but still fall within the power of her Soul DF.

RE: Indecision 2016 - In Soviet Russia, we elect american president!
Armed Trump supporter stands outside of Democratic congressional candidate campaign headquarters for twelve hours in Virginia.
Armed Trump Creeper: "[…] the only threat is ignorance, and ignorance breeds fear."
The fucking irony… I don't even.

RE: Indecision 2016 - In Soviet Russia, we elect american president!
McCaine's age/health only became super relevant because his VP pick was the arguably-crazier-than-Trump nutjob Sarah Palin. This time, desperate for something new to stick to Clinton, the media and GOP pundits have started cherrypicking moments where Hillary acts… really as healthy as one would expect the average person of her age is. She's not young, but her VP will do fine if something does happen and her opponent rather than her VP pick is the resident nutjob of this election cycle. So let's cut the Hillary's health issues crap and tell it like it is: media and people who're buying into this just don't like Hillary (and/or the Clintons in general) and are desperately trying to rationalize voting for a dangerously politically inept con artist who admires Putin and dictators.
Also ninja'ed on the point of FDR leading us just fine from a wheelchair.

RE: Bleach Discussion █: Soul Society, but not!
So let's see…
-Why waste time with Hiyori when you could have put literally anyone there? Yoruichi and Urahara anyone?
-where the hell is Isshin? Did he die offscreen so Ichigo could take over the clinic? If so why does no one say anything about him? Kubo remembered all of Ichigo's friends but forgot his dad? wth
-Fuck off namedropping one of Orihime's fairies. We know you either forgot them or decided it was too much effort to draw them (or both) a loooong time ago, Kubo.
-Chad turned into one of the first characters he jobbed to: Kyoraku Shunsui. Must be an easy job boxing against normal humans when your punches can demolish buildings. The jobber has become the uh... jobbee?
-Uryu is everyone's friend but he can't take the day off to watch Chad's match because he's married to his job in a profession he didn't want to pursue last I remember. Keep on Kuboing, Kubo.
-Kubo's last act of trolling is starting a shipping apocalypse via cliche married w/ kids epilogue rather than an attempt at an actual ending. The kids bring up questions I'm already seeing people ask like "how is Rukia's kids the same age as Ichigo's besides the obvious "because cliche main characters' kids are the same age" trope?" and "how is Ichigo's kid able to just poof into Shinigami mode?" What I'm even more confused by is how Ichigo's kid can just neutralize Ywach by touching the black goop which, by the way, is inexplicably not only in the living world as well as SS somehow but conveniently in the room Ichigo's kid was in at the moment of all places? Really? Nice job making last chapter's cliffhanger turn into a convenient anticlimax that rivals Uryu's deus ex machina arrow actually working to finish Ywach off.
-Glad Kubo got at least th OTP of the series right by reuniting Aizen and Chair. Fucking lol at the series' most iconic villain being the one to give the literal moral of the story speech in the end though.
-Still not clear how Ywach's plan would have meant no more death. Ukitake's grave was focused on just last chapter! Soul people can die, real people can die, how does merging the two stop this process? Unless souls just can't leave the single unified plane of existence he wanted, but then you could still get lethal injuries/terminal illness but just have to live with it? So everyone can be Kira in Ywach's world, posing with gaping festering holes in their sides... Cancer patients eventually either get a cure or become walking tumors, decapitated people suddenly have to lug their head everywhere ala headless horseman, etc. I imagine Ywach's real reason for a world w/o fear of death isn't for some utopia but just so he can continue being a sadistic prick cutting people up, blasting holes in people, and other various would-be-lethal things but the victims have to just live on in fear and pain with Ywach as some psychopathic deity.

RE: Bleach Discussion █: Soul Society, but not!
! Chad's boxing match sounds like the best part of the ending tbh. The shoehorned pretentious shit w/ Ywach is so bad. When the fuck did he ever allude to his goal apparently being uniting the living and dead worlds and eliminating death? He was basically just an overpowered smug ass and the closest I remember to motivation was revenge and some vague history w/ Yama… Never mind that the shinigami can still apparently die, so idk why what he's babbling about would even work to the end he says it would. How would making SS and the living world more or less the same mean no more death? Ukitake's grave was a focus just last chapter! People in SS can still die. It makes no sense.

This just in: Trump pivoting to a so-called "I'm rubber, you're glue" strategy. Approval rating with grade schoolers rising.
