Doesn't Law know about Big Mom right outside of the island with Sanji on there?
He doesn't. He was knocked out when Sanji told Luffy.

What a glorious show Doflamingo prepared for Strawhats. None of his comrades weren't even trying yet. And I was thinking he is done.
The WG better step it up with the bounties. Four-fifths of the Straw Hats targeted have higher Doffy bounties than official bounties!
Why would the government say to let murder happen? The only examples of extreme, unprovoked violence is the Celestial Dragon who shot someone for no reason. This seems like a major cop out to me, because if an Admiral lets someone kill every single person if it comes down to it for no gain to the government but for his own only, on top of being responsible for turning Marines into toys and even hurting the government, then the Marines have no sense of justice at all. This to me seems completely ridiculous.
"lets catch straw hats"
"shouldn't we maybe stop the guy who is killing civilians, promises no one leaves, and wants to kill a lot more people on top of being an insane dictator."
"nahh, them straw hats and law, lets catch them instead. He's a Shichibukai, so it's ok."
"ok, makes sense. Lets go catch the pirates that aren't causing massive death tolls and ignore the ones that we do. For justice!"
It makes sense in context.
The WG has so far shown it's priorities to be:
Prevent knowledge of the Void Century being revived at all cost.
Protect the Celestial Dragons at all cost.
Protect it's own authority at all cost.
Time and again this system has been shown to have become corrupted, almost from the very start of the series with Ax-Hand Morgan in fact. Arlong Park, Ohara, Tequila Wolf, Seabody, we're seeing this pattern repeated. Protecting people now comes way down the list and relies upon the sense of justice of the individual Marines, who are expected to hold those priorities. The rise of pirates and revolutionaries are symptoms of this system failing as individuals seek out. And now we are seeing even staunch supporters like Sengoku and Aokiji deciding they can't work within that system.
This is what the larger story of One Piece is all about.

The translation comes off kinda…bad for both MP and MS, idk they just seem weird.
Doesn't Law know about Big Mom right outside of the island with Sanji on there? Sure fighting 1 emperor is better then 2 but the way it's worded makes it seem like he wants to avoid fighting an emperor all together, must be a translation thing. The marines are really bothering me, isn't Ciphor Pol on there along with Fuji? I swear something tells me Aokiji would have just frozen the whole island by now, Kizaru would have blown up Doflamingos house(ooooooo~~ I think I over did it~) and Akainu would have slapped the shit out of doflamingo if he tried to kick him, for an Admiral he sure is passive in comparison to the other 3.
I think the difference is Big Mom isn't really interested in the events on Dressrosa, they might avoid her. Kaido will take it very personally and move directly against them.
You all complained that DD was going to name Fuji and it was the worst decision Oda has ever made. This week comes, it's the complete opposite of what you said and you're still in an uproar. Fuji knows a battle with DD would last too long, cause too many casualties (from the fight and birdcage+parasite), and honestly is not a sure win. The man simply believes it'll be easier to capture the 12 names than it would be to enrage the entire crew of DD. More than half the names were already on his list to capture because he believes them to be a threat to civilians, adding a notable name from the Revolutionaries the decision should be obvious.
Also, lets not forget Fuji's biggest threat isn't dying. It's that there will be civilian and military casualties regardless of his decision, he and all his men will have never existed if he loses, and all his efforts will be in vain.
I think it would benefit you all to know that only we know Luffy is going to come out on top as the hero. Nobody on that island except like 20 people believe that is even a remote possibility.

I've been tossing around the idea that Fuji's fruit is the cause of his blindness.. thoughts?
This would be true if Fujitora was actually trying to kill all 12 people on the list that Doflamingo mentioned, which he is not. The only order that was given was to "capture the Straw Hat/Law alliance" There is no mention of going after any members of the Royal family, and Dolfamingo made it perfectly clear that in order to end the game ALL 12 of the people he listed **must die.**
been a while but love the ussop oh crap face.
@Farsighted:
I think that his blindness could be born blind, I gotta ask you if you could please explain further about your idea that Fuji's fruit is the reason for his blindness. I think that either We'll get an answer about blindness in SBS or it'll be speculation as to the reason for his blindnes.
If he was born blind then why do his scars run across both eyes?
how can I delete my account?
how can I delete my account?
you can't. You're stuck here forever. And ever…and ever...and ever...and ever...
how can I delete my account?
you can always post fake spoilers and claim it's real, or post porns. Or you could just log off and not come back.
Hope we get a Kanjuro reveal in 2-3 chapters :)
Also…"karouseky shackles...they'll get off eventually" needs to become an internet meme
Fujitora was a disappointment…even seeing his own underlings suffering in the hand of Dofla,he was concentrating on Luffy and Law...
Couldn't help but feel sorry for Darth at the end of the chapter.
Meh. I'm guessing a stupid cliffhanger to build up tension of Straw Hats fighting both Admiral and Shichibukai at the same time.
Going that far out of character, and established build-up just for Fujitora to not act againts Doflamingo? That's something Kishi would do. Or Kubo. And I would like to think that Oda is better then that.

I'm under the assumption dofla didn't list an admiral because….. well he's an admiral, and no one on the island is really up to that level, he'd probs just piss our ramen master off and have him try and take dofla off the list sooner, instead of helping save civilians
my guess is when there enemies are gone, Dofla will go after the admiral himself, and the Fuji will wait till then because he's much more interested in saving people then killing
Oda never fails to deliver after a break. This was an awesome chapter and I'm glad he was able to get into contact with Rebecca, now she knows that Kyros is her father. I'm hoping Kinemon will find Kanjuro soon too. Zoro finding everybody on his own? Must be the work of Pica. But that bit at the end where he lets Luffy carry him and Law on the jump…hilarious. GOD USOPP 500 MILLION BELI! This is war baby!
Any raws out there guys? Senmanga usually got raws but this week they seem to be a bit late…
I wish he's here in dressrosa..
If he was born blind then why do his scars run across both eyes?
Crap!, I've forgotten about the scars, when it comes to blind fictional characters , I tend to forget their disability if the character is more than just his/her disability . I focus on their actions and what the character says rather than their disabilities. I honestly don't have a new guess or answer to your question.
This dude here provided us why Fuji acted that way in this chapter. He's been true to his words. That's his way of being a ninja admiral. Oda made him that way. He's a love him or hate him character!
And when he was talking to Mingo in Hall of Suits
!

You bold face capture as if Akainu would be disappointed that Fuji killed the alliance. Or that if bringing their unconscious bodies to DD would not end the game. Sacrificing the lives of the three Riku family + Kinemon is of better interest than letting this game continue to prolong a fight against DD, his crew, and his 2000 member army which would lead to much greater collateral damage. Fuji already stated his intentions. He's also hinted that he knows more than DD thinks anyone outside of Vergo in the marines knows. Even if DD is victorious, Fuji will serve his justice of the lives lost during this incident. He wants to abolish the Schichibukai and will gladly take DD's head after all this when he achieves his goal. If that means siding with the greater evil for the moment to save more lives than so be it. Also, Riku to the outside world is a man who ordered his army to slaughter many innocent lives until he was stopped by DD.

Until recently I thought he was born that way as well. Randomly one day I just thought maybe his own gravity prevented light from reaching his eyes therefore he can't see. Merely an oddball theory, but it seems to be a nice natural weakness to his devil fruit.
@ODA:
Yes… it would be weird to have two Namis on the crew.
Violet would be a far better choice than Becca. At least she has a nice spy/Scout ability. She can make out stuff in the distance and Usoppe shoots them. Of course Usoppe pissed Doffy up the most. He ruined everything Doffy has built up the last 10 years to keep the people unaware. I'd still go after Mingo b4 going after the likes of Zoro, Kyros, Law and Luffy. I prefer 2000 fodder soldiers than 4 top Tier fighters. Though Mingo, Pika, Diamante and Trebol are also top Tier. And I guess Franky is picking up Franky Shogun. Everytime he disappears, he comes back with his OptimusPrime-Mech.

Don't know how anyone can buy this bullshit. He's so concerned about the population that he's going to let Mingo's killing game continue to hunt down the SH and Law.
fuji will end the game.. but he wont capture luffy zorro and law
@The:
Theres literally an entire countrys worth of people who will testify that Doflamingo kidnapped their loved ones, erased peoples memories of them, and enslaved them. Also, former marine toys.
That's turning them into toys via Sugar's powers, not controlling them via his own abilities. Hell, part of the reason why I think he relied on Sugar's power was to not let his own hands get dirty - as he said "I never had any objections to controlling you all through fear".
Hancock was an empress, and a Vice admiral was poised to strip away her title and devlare war on her nation if she didn't follow WG orders.
Hancock wasn't a World Noble. She doesn't seem to have any connections or anything against them either. Amazon Lily didn't have a "creator" originating from it, it's protection lies solely on her duty as Shichibukai and that status hinges on whether she participated in the War - not really the same thing at all.
Are you saying that literally seeing and hearing Doflamingo MURDER A COUNTRY firsthand doesn't count as evidence??
Again, no evidence of him doing that firsthand - convenient powers and all BUT no, I'm saying Fujitora will most likely make his judgement once/after he encounters the alliance.
Justice is blind, but equal to all. Justice is not deaf as it listens to both parties silently towards conclusion; impartial and objectively.
Don't know how anyone can buy this bullshit. He's so concerned about the population that he's going to let Mingo's killing game continue to hunt down the SH and Law.
Because let's admit it. Basically, no one dies in One Piece. The concept of death here is superficial.
One thing that is bothering me this chapter, and that is the stars distribution.
Law a man worth 440 Million for his head gets 3 stars!!! Are people in Dressrosa really this stupid?
Again with Luffy, 400 million (pre-time skip) gets 3 stars!!!!!! Doesn't make any sense to me at all!

@Da:

That's another reason this situation is not suspenceful in any way. Which is why we have artificial suspence of people making stupid decions.
@The:
If Doffy placating Kaido and cooking up new schemes in a post-SMILE world was ever an option, doesn't that rather reduce the impact of the supposedly decisive blow Law wants to deal Doffy with this whole plan?
Well, to placate Kaido, Doffy at least needs to retain the last batch of SMILE.
Law's plan included destroying the factory and presumably, the last batch of product with it.
Since that obviously hasn't happened yet, I don't see how it reduces the impact of Law's plan.
Law's plan, 100% complete, will destroy Doflamingo. Since it's only about 50% complete, there's still a possibility for Doffy to survive.
@The:
At this point, as far as we know Doffys only long-term chance at survival is
-Kill every single non-loyal person knowing the truth about Dressrosa
-Protect SMILE factory, maintain Dwarf workforce needed to cultivate plants
-Search the seas, find and reclaim Caesar, set up new SAD factory before Kaido gets grouchy.
This is the thing, when push comes to shove, I don't think Doflamingo really cares about giving up Dressrosa.
He seemed perfectly willing to quit the Shichibukai previously (when it was on his own terms) and since he was only left alone to rule while he was a warlord, I can't imagine he's going to cling onto Dressrosa above all other things.
So I think at this point, his absolute last line of defence is :
People are shooting at citizens, including children and women, so people are dying left and right.

- Retain last batch of SMILE
- Contain news of Dressrosa's upheaval as much as possible
- Send last batch to Kaido to placate him temporarily
- Run
Somehow that dosen't fit with Doflamingo's personality no?
Beside, does he plan to run or hide his entire life? That will require him to at the very least quit the shichibukai system.

Well, you saw his reaction when he was faced with the possibility of facing Kaido.
By run, I mean leave Dressrosa and establish a new plan, rather than sitting about and waiting for Kaido to blow his lid and come massacre Doffy.
He seemed pretty willing to quit the shichibukai previously (under his own terms), the only reason he fought so hard to retain his shichibukai position earlier this arc was to screw up Law's plan, and to not wind up facing an admiral with no protection whatsoever.
That's another reason this situation is not suspenceful in any way. Which is why we have artificial suspence of people making stupid decions.
Yes yes. There's no death scare. But we know exactly what Oda wanted to achieve. He wanted to establish DD's control and influence over the situation. If SOME things are going stupid and Fuji doesn't act the expected, it can't be helped. So, IMO, it's better to just look beyond that. Besides, I don't think it's fair to judge Fuji at this sole chapter. He's not done yet.

I see, "We run away, to fight another day"
Precisely.
With the right machinations, anyone can fall.

No need. Luckily they were all flesh wounds.
poor zoro.. He seems to get used to luffy's rubber arms
I'm much more interested in the stance people like Chinjao, his grand children, Ideo, Cavendish, Hajrudin and maybe the funk brothers will take in this chaos. Are they going to hunt down the 12 or help them? Also, what will Burgess do? He can't call Teach, so he has to make his own decision.

He has his orders from his boss. Akainu. You can't compare him to a semi-renegade like Smoker who takes decision in his own hands.

Burgess will probably go after Sabo. He could get revenge, free up the MM again, and make a sweet profit all at once.

Oh gawd, that will be awesome. I hope Oda doesn't rush all these deliciousness.
Edit: Also, that will make more sense. It will be weird if someone like Burgess is sharing sake with the crew. This will probably be an Island where we don't get an aftermath party. The SHs may need a quick escape with Issho still on their ass. Riku, Viola and Kyros should be able to find them a get away ship.
Oh gawd, that will be awesome. I hope Oda doesn't rush all these deliciousness.
Yeah, man.
Let's see what Burgess is like in a fight when he's seriously pissed.
He wasn't really under wraps, destruction wise, as it was.
Somehow that dosen't fit with Doflamingo's personality no?
Beside, does he plan to run or hide his entire life? That will require him to at the very least quit the shichibukai system.
I think he was going to make a move eventually anyway. It's obvious his goals stretch beyond Dressrosa, and I think everything he's done was done for the greater goal. I believe he wanted to take down Kaido himself eventually, maybe with the help of WG.
Why do i have the feeling king Riku will die? He is a 3 star that lost to Blue Gilly, so if any big name come for him he is toast. He is just with Viola now no?
Maybe the ark will end with Kuros as king

That is also a possiblity, however I didn't see any reason to belive that Dofla want to take down Kaido. (considering he is feeding him with devil fruits)
a 3v1 huh? maybe a 2v1 if zoro gets stopped by pica. this sounds like a even match because we all know luffy and law can't beat doflamingo one on one.
That is also a possiblity, however I didn't see any reason to belive that Dofla want to take down Kaido. (considering he is feeding him with devil fruits)
Devil fruits with some faults, if Law is to be believed. The fruits which Kaido thought that would give him advantage might turn out to be a disadvantage of sorts. There's no telling what Dofla could have spiked those fruits with, or what kind of exploitable vulnerabilities those users could have.
Burgess will probably go after Sabo. He could get revenge, free up the MM again, and make a sweet profit all at once.
or maybe could go after Dofla, in order of give a side blow to Kaido…
or maybe could go after Dofla, in order of give a side blow to Kaido…
We don't know if Blackbeard even knows about the link between Doffy and Kaido.
Since he came for the MM, and was thwarted by Sabo, I'm sure that's the way he's going to go.
Option A involves 12 enemies.
Option B involves 2000 enemies.
If they all teamed up then DD crew become the minority no.
