      Will Luffy be able to use Gear 5 too? He had gear 2 and 3 in one arc. It'll make sense if he had 4 and 5.

      Gear 2 in chapter 387
      Gear 4 in chapter 783

      @Icarus:

      In the many many discussions there has been on this subject I believe the consensus in the end was that Doffy was somewhere in between a Vice Admiral and an Admiral, precisely how far above VA or below Admiral depends on the VA or Admiral in question.

      It makes him the ideal opponent for Luffy and a great test of his growth from the timeskip.

      While I don't queston Doffy's abilities he clearly wanted no part of Kuzan on Punk Hazard but he was able to break out of the ice which was no mean feat.

      Yet in this arc I got the impression especially in the early part of the arc that Doffy felt he could deal with Fujitora himself should the need arise, I believe he said as much to his crewmate.

      How true that is in actual practice is hard to know, Doffy does seem like the type of fighter who would not indicate that unless he really felt he could win, then again he is a nutcase.

      So I don't think he is Admiral Level (sorry I know you all hate the term) but I would say he is about as close to it as we have seen fighter wise not including those who are already top pirate/revolutionary commanders or equivalent such as Marco, Enel or Sabo.

      I think Fujitora is weaker than the other admirals. He couldn''t get past sabo and I'm going to assume sabo is stronger than Luffy. So Doflamingo was confident enough to take out Fujitora. Luffy must be equal or higher than Fujitora if he is to be on the same level as Doflamingo.

      @cloudrivera:

      A lot of people are convinced that Dofla is way too important to die. Do you guys really think he'll die by Luffys hands? That sounds pretty interesting honestly

      Or at the end of the arc, Doflamingo is seen strayed away somewhere or went to someone for mercy, that I mean Kaido… then Kaido kills him. Or better yet X Drake takes out Doflamingo with ease since everyone has been saying he is working for Kaido now.

      @Fraco:

      i thought there was going to be a break, what a nice surprise! nice chapter, everybody is on his way to a beating, still no trace of burgess!

      nothing is going to happen in the next 15-20 chapters. It's just going to be more talking about "oh I hate you so much doflamingo" or "we need to find a way to get to point A to point B" type of deal. It's been like that for the past 30 chapters. Oda just has a clip or slide of like 20 different fights per chapter. It's getting annoying.

      @Thebomer93:

      The fact that Luffy hasn't been take out by Doffy is proof that his 2 year training was worth it. Before the TS I very much doubt he'd last long against Doffy. I think some people on here are underestimating just how strong Doffy is I think this will be Luffy hardest one on one fight to date.

      I don't even know if Luffy will fight Doflamingo. Even if Law lost and it was Luffy's turn, this still counts as a 2v1 since Law already injured Doflamingo and will continue to for a few chapters then Luffy will step in. Luffy is probably still getting pummeled by Doflamingo clone in the basement, but that's still his ability. Trebol on the other hand was totally useless. This is just going to be like the Gecko Moriah vs the entire SH crew + 100 shadow Luffy. Everyone claimed Luffy was stronger at that point. Because all people care about is Luffy vs main villain.

      @Ravaha:

      This arc started out AMAZING. Then we got a bunch of crap after the colosseum finished up. Too many separated fights. We havent gotten to see Law's crew or what is going on with Sanji. Apparently Luffy's training was for nothing, still getting owned by shichibukai and would have been killed if Law wasnt there. This arc feels like it was drug out way longer than it needed to be. What the hell is Sabo and the rest of them doing? The Admiral is just sitting on his ass and using his haki to watch events go down…............

      We were introduced to CP-0, now they havent even been a factor. We got 2 weird ass samurai who seem to be similar in strength to east blue pirates................. We have a really shitty Zoro fight broken up over many chapters. Luffy and Sanji look like they got weaker from 2 years of training. Luffy wasnt even this weak during the war. Then there are these dwarves and their princess manshelly. Then we have a ton of side plots with Law and corazon, Diamante and whats his name.

      WTF is this BS? Meanwhile, sanji (who has got the shit kicked out of him 2x was attacking Big Mom's ship and hasnt been mentioned in what feels like a year. How many things have to happen at the same time Oda? This arc is going to take 2-2.5 years to finish at this rate. We are getting less and less dialogue per month and more and more weaklings introduced to make things stall out. Now we have to watch coliseum fighters in their battles also. We havent even seen anything with Big MOM..... Meanwhile, Zoro has done nothing but toy with his opponents since the NW began.

      This arc, without a doubt, went from having the potential to be the best arc and redeem Luffy and Sanji to being one of my least favorites just ahead of the sky island. Nothing is happening. I didnt mind the flashbacks, and I enjoyed them and kinda wish they had continued. Instead, now we are back to trying to watch 20 fights at the same time with 10 unresolved subplots.

      1. East blue arc 2. Great war 3. Impel Down amazon lilly 4. Shabaody Archipelego 5. Ennies Lobby 6. Post Ennies Loby 7. Alabasta 8. Fishman Island 9. Dressrosa 10. Thriller Bark 11. Skypiea 12. Punk Hazzard

      13. Post and pre Alibasta 14. Drum Island

      I think that is some pretty fair rankings for arcs. The top 6 being amazing arcs and 7-14 seeming more and more drawn out and too long for their own good to just plain long and bad 12-14.

      It is taking too long, oda should hurry up and focus on one fight, then move to the next. If he keeps showing only one slide per fight per chapter, people are going to forget what is going on in the earlier stages of the fights. People want to see a full battle, not a battle split up into multiple chapters. I'm glad the flashback is finally over, we already know what happened. Oda just decided to show it still but made it longer than what I had hoped for. Like the fights in Arlong arc, CP9 arc, Alabasta arc, and other popular ones Oda did not split them up. Especially with the constant breaks, it will takes several years to finish this arc and people are already saying one piece will end in less than 5 years.

      When is One Piece 762 coming out? Naruto and Bleach already came out several hours ago.

    • RE: Chapter 759: Secret Plan

      @King:

      It was the real Doula Mongo. Here's 3 reasons:

      • Clones don't bleed, as seen by Kyros' decapitation and Abdullah and Jeet's attack.
      • The kind of scratch Doula got could easily be cleaned in a matter of seconds with a tissue or something.
      • Trébol expressed concern. Unlike Baby 5 and Buffalo, he is aware of the clone ability and would've had known. Oh, and Baby 5 and Buffalo are not "ALL" of Doula's underlings. Also, remember Pica, who wasn't surprised at all.

      Your argument is based on the assumption that the Doula who fought Law at the bridge was clone, which would prove that clones can bleed. However, that's an assumption with no evidence backing it up.

      Luffy truly hurt Doula Mongo. He's not that strong. Deal with it.

      He's not that strong? Only reason Luffy was able to hit Doflamingo was because Doflamingo was just chilling there on his mighty chair and Law was in the way. If anything it was 2v1 with Doula not caring about his surroundings. And if I recall correctly Doula won their first two physical encounters. Meanwhile no other person in Dressrosa has even managed to injure Luffy yet.

      @The:

      I think there are a likely number of scenarios, and we won't know till the end. Though some of what you say would make it seem weird if he wanted Bellamy dead. If he's good at raiding and is popular among some people, why would you want to kill him? I would think Doflamingo would be smart enough to realize that even though he isn't the most successful member, he is still useful. This is why I think it would be Diamante and Dellinger who decided to do it. From the little bit of Dellinger we've seen, he seems like a guy who attacks people if they are weak. The only other theory that I have, which is out there, is that Doflamingo hoped Bellamy would be severely injured fighting Luffy and then when Bellamy was weak, he would be taken out so they could blame Luffy for his death, but there isn't really any reason to do that. I would love to see Bellamy take on Dellinger so he can get some payback, and when he see's Luffy take down Doflamingo, he no longer has any respect for him.

      I think only the 3 executive officers are the people Doflamingo truly cares about. And then the three executives were allowed to choose members to be part of the family. So you can say that Doflamingo is like a grandpa to those lower members of the family so automatically he cares about them too. Bellamy wasn't accepted in the first place so he had to earn it somehow.

      @Whackadoodle:

      What we have seen of Doflamingo is that, in response to him trying to land a finishing blow on the guy he is literally on top of, Kuzan can freeze him from a (small, at least) distance without even taking his hands out of his pockets, before the blow lands.

      Kuzan asked him to get off of Smoker and leave him alone. The marine G-5 fodder had a chance to react to Kuzan showing up. Then Doflamingo tries to finish off Smoker. He clearly knew Kuzan was there, and tried to launch a surprise attack against the helpless Smoker to finish him off, only to get frozen in place.

      And? We have no reason to think Doflamingo has ever fought Kuzan; he might have overestimated himself (or underestimated Kuzan) until he got frozen. Alternatively, he might have planned to kill (the helpless and half-dead) Smoker and GTFO rather than fight Kuzan. Either way, when his attempt to finish off Smoker with a surprise attack failed miserably, he did an about-face pretty goddamned fast.

      I believe the only reason Kuzan was able to freeze Doflamingo on time was 1) Doflamingo's attack was a sweep meaning the strings were behind his arm the whole time, so even if his arm passed smoker the string would still not reach and aokiji had already started slowly moving his ice attack. and 2) This is Akoji's territory, it is completely covered in snow which Aokiji apparently made during his battle with Akainu. So it looked like when Doflamingo looked back at Aokiji he was unsure if he would get the attack on time due to the pre-prepped environment advantage.

    • RE: Official Dressrosa Thread

      I think Doflamingo is too powerful of a man. I remember Akoji saying to Smoker "Doflamingo will be the most serious matter Akainu has ever faced since taking over HQ." That serious matter was implied to Aokiji and his 10 day fight with Akainu and saying Doflamingo will be even worse is a huge hint to Doflamingo's power. I also took in the fact that Doflmaingo said after this crisis is over, he is going to get rid of Fujitora implying to kill or hide forever. I just don't see Luffy taking down Doflamingo at this point.
