Greg,
Since you believe that Lily was user of Ope Ope, do you think she used her 'room' to scatter all the poneglyphs around the world/Grand Line ? It would be such a easy and elegant solution...

RE: Chapter 1125: What Death Means
I wonder if Saturn rolled the dice at the last moment by openly uttering 'Imu' in front of vice admirals(in between his pleading in thought dimension) ?

I believe at this point black lightning should be associated with conquer haki. Wano gave us plenty of hints.

But if it wasn't Morgans' snail in the throne room, how did he get the picture of Sabo? And if it is all based on Wapol's account (with Vivi's input) how did Sabo end up blamed? Especially considering Morgans declined to work with Cipher Pol on the two big Reverie controversies. Something about Sabo's accusation doesn't add up here.
In Ch 956 we see that Morgans was contacted by Wapol after he already had all three news known.
Yes, Cipher Pol tried to cover one of the news, but it was never said which one. Now knowing that Mjosgard was executed without any news to the world, maybe the story that the WG wanted covered was actually the "assassination attempt" on Charlos?

I was never fully sold on the theories it was an Ancient Weapon, and this being the weapon's first test firing closes a lot of questions about why such a thing wasn't used sooner.
Dragon knows Vegapunk very well, and says that Vegapunk would never knowingly make a weapon like that.
Ivankov brings the Ancient Weapons into the conversation, and Dragon asks the same question as you: why they never used it before?
Except that... maybe they did? God Valley disappeared after all. And since Lulusia is now said to "never have existed", who's to say it was never used?
Probably, Vegapunk's energy research created a power source reliable enough to power up an Ancient Weapon? It took like 2 weeks to use it on Lulusia, still...
No, This chapter made it clear that the weapon was tested on Lulusia for the first time. It was a test and bald Gorosei wanted to do it on a jungle.
Whatever destroyed God Valley( if erased from the map means totally destroyed like Lulusia), must be something else.

@Surskit said in Chapter 1122: Time is right:
First off; LOVE the Horikoshi tribute on the cover page. It's crazy how Oda is outliving the very Mangakas he's inspired all these years ago.
Concering the chapter:
Just as expected, Emeth's "thing" is what's essentially ending the arc. I was expecting it to be some sort of selfdestruct mechanism but an uber Haki bomb courtesy of the one and (not so) only Joyboy triggered by releasing a knot (most likely coming off the same technology as the Weatheria wind knot) wasn't on my bingo card. The fact that it managed to disintegrate? the Gorosei summons and even hurting Imu makes it pretty obvious that this will be the next step in Haki development Luffy has to go through to eventually beat the big bad. Don't know how much I like this because he spent a good junk of Wano trying to master Ryou and it somehow had very little impact on the fight in the end. Also the fact Imu got hurt from this Haki bomb presents even more evidence that the Gorosei have to be some kind of extension of Imu's power.Otherwise just love the atmosphere of departure and hype the Vegapunk message has caused. Perfect groundwork for the final saga, which I think was what Oda wanted this arc to do in the first place. Also had some great art (and a lot of double spreads) this chapter, especially the one where all the remaining Gorosei are reaching for the flying Sunny.
I know from the Spoiler Thread that most people don't like the lack of development Emeth got before his demise but I genuinely got pretty emotional during the last few pages. And I trust in Oda to at least somewhat extend on this during the inevitable Void Century flashback.
Last but not least; the "Joyboy is a Giant" theory has been discussed a lot and looks to be pretty dead after this chapter. Emeth should be a bit bigger than your usual giant but Joyboy's silhouette seems to be even smaller than one of Emeth's horns. The giant straw hat in Mariejois might still belong to Joyboy himself (maybe he died while being transformed into a giant like Luffy does?) but it would be even more interesting if the frozen hat belonged to someone else entirely.
What's caught my interest as well is the fact that one of Joyboy's legs looks veeery skinny on the last page. Either Oda just drew that one a little sloppy (Joyboy's right hand also looks very skinny in that panel) OR it could mean Joyboy's the infamous pegleg Pirate we've been waiting for so long. His leg is clearly looks like wooden work and his right hand seems like replaced by some jaw spanner.I bet he was the eye patched pirate Oda talked about long ago.
Concerning his height, he might well be a giant if we consider the dimension of Emeth compared to ordinary giants as have seen in this arc.

RE: Jump Festa 2024
But to Oda, the manga seems to be a afterthought these days. He is more focused on Netflix and Hollywood.

RE: Jump Festa 2024
Yeah! I too don't think Oda was talking about Elbaf.
Hachinosu is good guess since Oda talked about 'that thing'. Garp in this flashback also talked about a 'treasure', that belonged to Hachinosu ,which the world nobles stole(I don't believe it was DF) and Rocks attacked God Valley for it. -
RE: Chapter 1099: Pacifist
Also, I think flashback will end in the next chapter and Kuma reaching Egghead will be the cliffhanger.

RE: Chapter 1099: Pacifist
I won't be surprised if Vegapunk harvested Kuma's stem cells and used it to cure Bonny, thus making her a living 'Buccaneer'.

RE: Chapter 1095: Better off Dead in this World
Won't be surprised if unknowing to her, Big Mom has Buccaneer blood.

I really hope we get to see Rocks D Xebec
Me too. Not covering Rocks incident in this flashback would be a blasphemy.

RE: Chapter 1095: Better off Dead in this World
I wonder why they are saying Buccaneer being extinct and Kuma being the last one....
Doesn't Bonny has Kuma's blood? Or is it that the specific blood elements do not shown up in all offspring? -
