Lol diablo jimbei…
Anyways, the way the head talked about "puzzles" and the fact that all the pieces apparently can be reassembled however by other people, stick to everything they get attached to but stay normal once put into the right position suggests the possibilty of some "puzzle" fruit (smn said that earlier.)
that might be laws fruit, since we don't have a name for it yet and to me seems like the most probable explanation. Might be a new fruit though (just a possibility, still thinking it's probably Law.)
-
Hasn't seen it mentioned… Anyone thought about Lone Wolf and Cub as well
-
-just kids from elbaf , could be the masked gang work with GW , they training the giant kids to be new giant squad by using the dragon and the island that full with mystery animals or just something else but u guys have to remember the three marks on PH gate marine,GW,elbaf pirates, remember too the giant skull in PH
That's not a bad idea.
I wonder where they get the kids though. Maybe Elbaf, but that's unlikely. I mean, that'd be pretty hard. Or maybe the WG or whoever ordered the Giant Squad to kidnap children?
Either way, I'm surprised that the kids seem to be alright. They were most likely playing before the SHs arrived and didn't seem to be worried about their parents and such. Strange.

Ooh, another great, great chapter. :D
This arc reminds me so much of the old days and what One Piece was in the Baroque Works era. In my opinion, when it was at its very best.

Don't you mean Skypiea.
But all personal opinion aside this reminds me more of the magic that was skypiea. The new, unknown, unique, ect. Versus baroque works which felt like just dealing with the mafia -
I'm sure they needed a giant to kidnap those kids.
Because that place ain't no kindergarten.
the kids where normal before treatment (i'm calling it now: a evil scientist >=D ) so kidnapping is no problem but guarding them is =|
and it isn't buggy since his body parts would float all over the place and the samurais body is laying on the floor…
(law or some science stuff i guess made the samurai part....) -
Reading through this thread, I felt my rage slooowwwlllyy buiilllldddiiinnngggg.
Making a building of rage out of lego. than standing on that building with all my rage.
THAT IS THE PURE AMOUNT OF RAGE.
I won't go naming names but daaaaaaamnnnn guuuuurrrrlll/brrrooooooSo.
Have a gif.
Cause bitches love gifs.
Hgn.

I guess that The bird-lady will fight against Robin.Time for Robin to show us her flying ability again.
-
I wonder if Law is actually in charge here? Could be like Moriah, using his powers to create weird… CREATIONS. I mean, who wouldn't want a ship with giants' arms attached to it. It could PADDLE AND PUNCH.
Spoilers: The climax of the arc will involve Mecha-Sunny fighting Law's ship (with giant arms and legs attached to it).
-
ahhh AP, never change :)
-
I love how everyone instantly think it's a BIRD woman.
Ever considered that it might be a Skypiean/Birkan/Shandian?
Their wings do vary in size, after all… -
This one can fly though.
-
@Mr.:
This one can fly though.
Y'never know.
There might be a race similar to them who can use their wings to fly.
It's the New World, after all. -
this island feels like a throwback of old school warriors and mythical creaters. a harpie lady maybe.. best part was when they were using the samurai guy as a jigsaw puzzle. also this might be a puzzle devil fruit user's work.
-
People seem to be forgetting that Law's ability isn't just to cut people. If I'm not mistaken he can teleport the people within his area (remember when teleporting Bepo and replacing him with Jean Bart when pacifista was attacking), which makes me think he can control almost anything in the spherical areas of his. Just something I thought should be known since people sseem to think he can only "cut" people.
Also, perhaps in the 2 years he increased the area of his sphere and it can cover the entire island or large portions of it.
As for the flying woman, I believe she is a spy of Big Mam. She fits the theme of her crew. -
I wonder where is samurai's son.And what about Brook?Luffy's group won't return to Sunny so group will stay on the ship?
-
I'm awaiting new villains, but I hope it doesn't feel like Fairy Tail. I've been some of those vibes from the recent chapters.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
thanks to that…i am reminded of this:
Why is there such synergy listening to this and reading Naruto?

Oh my goodness. Probably the most wonderfully interesting, absolutely hilarious and incredibly bizarre chapters I can ever remember of One Piece. It seems pretty clear that Law is behind the carved-up samurai at this point, Franky melting the door was awesome, Luffy-centaur was hysterical, bird-woman and two-sided island are both pretty interesting, and I don't have any idea what to think of the giant children.
Weird, whacky, wild One Piece; I love it. You're awesome, Oda <3

Law may not be behind the carving, but he may be. When Law cut things, he had to create a "room" first, and then he cuts them without his sword touching them. The samurai talks about a guy who cuts things with his sword penetrating a person, but not killing them. It may be a bizzare case of multiple DFs having very similar powers. Oda's getting unimaginative?
-
One thing I dislike about recent threads is that is seems everyone thinks they are the master at knowing Law's abilities.
We don't know what he can all do or not do. We saw a tease, that was it. I wouldn't be so quick in tossing around he can or can't do something.

Including me? Well, I don't. And I'm just making a judgment from what I remember.

Oh yeah, Oda's unimaginative because some random dude thinks he created similar powers with absolutely NO proof whatsoever.
-

There are a crap load of Law can's and cant's replies. Your most recent one just made me recal them all.
And regardless how observation you tried to be you are making an assumption again. We saw him cut seemingly without touching, BUT that doesn't mean if he were to cut someone like mihawk/zoro it would not result in a splitting like Buggy being cut if he has his ROOM effect on.
There's just too much that we don't know that making any OBSERVATION is pointless. Observation only tells us what he CAN do, not what he can't.

The head for nakama!! Bwooooh! :ninja:
-
This is obviously a weird island of Vegapunk experiments, which in one swoop explains everything. The bird-lady, the weather conditions…
The giant kids are probably normal giant babies being studied. Through some samurai and a Shichibukai in there, and you've got yourself yet another unpredictable scenario. Can't wait to see what happens!
One thing I can't figure out is how dragons fit into all of this. -
Geez, just when Oda draws our attention with a dismembered lower half and a dragon, he throws giant kids, a samurai head, a freezing part of the island, and a missing Brook all into the equation!
….Wow, this is awesome. I'm dying to see what happens next. Gotta to say, I'm loving the samurai guy.

One thing I can't figure out is how dragons fit into all of this.I truly think the Dragon was a beast just like they had always fought, but shows emphasis on how strong and ridiculous the species is in the New World, though we'll just have to wait and see. I figured the dragon just likes warm environments. :)
-
The pair of legs talked about a Shichibukai, and the head said he was cut by someone he didn't know, so I guess it's not the same person?
-
Just to ask again; what do you guys think are the odds of either Law or a new "puzzle" fruit guy being responsible? Those are the only options I consider valid at this point. I'm more thinking Law but it COULD be smn new… Definitely jot Buggy.
-
The puzzle fruit sounds odd to me, as the guy would activate it with it's hand (Like Blueno and Luffy's door face), and who in it's sane judment would reasemble the legs?
I'm sticking with law.
And NORMAL Giant Kids.
-

only thing I could think of besides law is there fucking around with DF abilities, since they said they figured out there source, there trying to construct df users without having them take a df but to a much minor extent (kizaru's lasers on the pacifista for example) but there's really nothing supporting this or really anything else I've heard, just seems weird for law of all people to be a shichibukai, maybe he's after another shichibukai and just happened to fight law, I have no idea what's going on
I think this islands either messing around with DF's or mythical (well real I guess) creatures like giants dragons harrpies etc.
-
My theory is, It's someone new. Not Law Or Buggy that is for sure.
When the head was talking he said he was cut, what i can conclude from that is it was not a ranged fight but it was a close encounter with Shichibukai, Can't be law cause he would be safer doing a a mid ranged fight cause that suit him best. As for Buggy, his DF was explained in Impel down and it pretty much makes it impossible to be him.
The wild theory would be it's a sword with a DF that the Shichibukai got probably from Vegapunk or he stole it from somewhere.

I feel like too many of you think that Vegapunk somehow harnessed Kizaru's fruit. Didn't he just replicate it?
Cause I mean Franky how ALSO shoots beams and he got his blue prints for that from Vegapunks Lab back when he was on his home land and not part of the Government yet. Before he would have been working on the pacifistas and so on. Before he had access to Kizaru.
So I don't see how Vegapunk would be able to use say Law's fruit. He isn't using Kizaru's fruit, he just replicated it. If he had learnt to somehow use it. then why aren't the Pacifistas logia's too, or moving around as fast as light, or ect. Why is there only the laser beams. And again something that FRANKY was able to copy from old blue prints
-
If it turns out Law's sword ate the devil fruit and not him, i'll be unbelivably amused.
-
Ever considered that it might be a Skypiean/Birkan/Shandian?
Their wings do vary in size, after all…Lafitte says hello.
-
Oda is an incredible genius (take that, Niizuma Eiji!!).
But, first things first:
Even though its still technically possible for Law to be the one who did this to the Samurai, I doubt it after this chapter - there are too many other mysteries that need to be explained and all Law brings to the table is his ability. It looks much more like some mad scientist like Vegapunk going slightly overboard with his experiments. Presumably he needs young children (of different races) for his experiments since he has a bunch of giant kids (WTF!!) and also a Smaurai kid was kidnapped.
That bird-woman/angel looked positively sinister, as if thinking, "Here's some nice new delicious little playthings for me slurp". haha. She could also be part of the results of the experiments or simply be a Zoan if shes was indeed a human to begin with.
Also:
Couldn't Sanji have destroyed the wall by himself?! His statement "But Nami-san, the wall is solid rock" implies otherwise….. I really think Sanji shouls have been capable of destroying it w/o needing to talk abt it u know? Just one kick and its done.
Just a thought here, maybe the warlord has a "puzzle" fruit, it would explain why you can attach this samurai anyway you please.
Great idea!
You know what ? WHAT IF Buggy got more or less tricked after the war to become a Shichibukai because they noticed his DF allowed him to survive so many attacks (explosions, freezeing, being cut by Mihawk, …) and then he was presented to VegaPunk who was able to extract/copy his power, as he did for Kuma ???
I think you meant Kizaru's powers, but it sounds reasonable. But I'd think the WG's intention in getting Buggy for the Schicih position was motivated more by the urgency to fill the slot and appear to be in control after the war rather than thinking so far ahead as to add his ability to the PXs or whatever. But it could definitely have happened later on….
-
Hailfire Peaks, dragon meat, giant kids, a puzzle samurai and a bird woman that I'm really hoping turns out to be a stork.
Yup, I'm good for this week. -
@Medical:
The pair of legs talked about a Shichibukai, and the head said he was cut by someone he didn't know, so I guess it's not the same person?
This man also has never seen an obscene woman like nami in all his life, I'll give it he's never stepped out of the country of Wano.
-

I like this. I hope this turns out to be true.
-
Judging from the samurai's sexist personality, he is obviously meant to meet and fight Tashigi. She might even take his sword(that's her dream).
No, her dream is to "free" leagendary sowrds from evil hands. If she thinks the samurai is a good man, she'll not think of taking his sword. However, if he gets over his distrust and works with the Strawhats, she may think he's evil then she'll want to take his sword …. which be very funny over the dialog of them two arguing.
i don't know why u guys think "bonny did it "? BAH
-just kids from elbaf , could be the masked gang work with GW , they training the giant kids to be new giant squad by using the dragon and the island that full with mystery animals or just something else but u guys have to remember the three marks on PH gate marine,GW,elbaf pirates, remember too the giant skull in PH
- for sure usopp is the only one who notice the bird women cuz he sinper ,he is long view character , his eye view is very sharp
Glad you take that veiw, some people are claiming he saw her only because he trained 2 years to be stronger. Now being on the Boin Archipelago(BA from here on) for 2 years would make Usopp need to stay alert of his surroundings since he was in constant threat of man-eating plants and insects. But Its more than that.
Snipers train more thanseeing long view, they train to be very observant of their suroundings. The best snipers have trained to have a quicker process of the the physical eye catching the image and the brain processing it. Average person has a certain time that process takes, scientists uded to think that it couldn't be altered since its the time the image takes to travel on nerves to brain, but there are documentation of real snipers and martial artists that have trained to speed up their responces . I often wonder if Oda has done that with Usopp.
Usopp is the one that noticies things, he is the one to notice that Moriah was inside Oar's stomach. But he also notices some things that could be said to be supernatural but in One Piece is just beyond the norm- he heard then saw the Klaubautermann in Skypedia when one one else did. He was the first to here the voice of Merry when it sailed to the destroyed Bridge of Hesitation to resuce them from the Buster Call. It was only after he heard it and and said something, that others noticed it too.It wasn't that Usopp is stronger why he saw her, he's always been obervant when he wants to be. Its just after the BA, he's more paranoid in dangerous situations so has an eye out.
Strange.
I agree that it would be unlikely that the kids came from Elbaf. Main reason people keep sayign Elbaf is that it the only known home island of giants. But lets not forget that Oda said that its not the only home of giants. He said it indireactly when showing Robin's flashback meeting Saul, who said that he is not one of "those savages from Elbaf". Oda said it directly in a SBS when people asked if Oars was from Elbaf, He said that there several types and several homes of giants.
By Saul's calling the giants of Elbaf as savages, I believe he's refering to thier Viking-like (war and battles are part of their honor codes) culture, which makes me think that kidnapping kids from such a culture would be difficult. Nah, if they are giant kids, they came for some more peaceful giant society. At least most of them, there's no reason they all had to come form same place.
-
This chapter,this fucking chapter…
I had forgotten how balls out crazy this comic can be until I read this.
As for what the hells going on in this island, Smoker mentioned that something happened to that island some odd years ago so its most definently that.
All I know is that it sure as hell can't be Trafalgar Law behind this, Law is quite clearly a smooth criminal type, and this island is way too large scale of an operation for him to be bothered running. -

True that good point I retract my earlier post that the 'non viking/oars like' type of giants in the giant squad could be bred in laboratories using normal sized infants then.I would rather have them be natural giant babies they are so cute.

@Medical:
The pair of legs talked about a Shichibukai, and the head said he was cut by someone he didn't know, so I guess it's not the same person?
That got me thinking too. If Legs and Head are the same person, we know for sure that the one who did him that is not the Shichibukai, since Head doesn't know the name of the guy who cut him (Meaning that he doesnt know who he is, so he can't possibly know he is a Shichibukai).
If you read last week's chapter, you will see that Legs ask the SHs if they are ALSO allies of the Shichibukai, so what I am assuming is that Trafalgar Law is the guy behind the Samurai's status but have nothing to do with the PH guys, M and the kids.Probably the Samurai started to attack Law's men when they met in the island mistaking them with some allies of the Shichibukai, they called for help (The call that the SHs intercepted) and Law came and defeated the Samurai, leaving him in that state The Shichibukai the Samurai is talking about should be M, who kiddnapped his son. -
Everyone saying that the craziness of this island will all be attributed to Vegapunk need to realize that this is the New World baby. Things get crazy from here on out. We got a taste for how insane the New World was going to be a long time ago when we saw the Supernovas reach it. That is not to say that Vegapunk isn’t involved but it is far from a necessity when talking about a New World island. Whatever, I was expecting craziness and Oda is delivering.
-
Maybe one of the giant babies is the Samurai's son? :D
That'd be pretty funny, and it seems like it would be up Oda's alley.
-

Something tells me that he is gonna befriend the straw hats(he is certainly quite excentric). He certainly has a sense of honor and I think he will protect the straw hats from the marines.
This samurai has integrity like Zoro except that he is rather sexist, conservative in the dressing code and not immune to women.
-

….Wow, this is awesome. I'm dying to see what happens next. Gotta to say, I'm loving the samurai guy.
Yeah, I didn't see a missing Brook coming at all, honestly. I was actually expecting him to show up this chapter and slice down all of the kidnappers, but it didn't happen! Good going, Quaker Odameal…Good going.
All of this insane stuff is kind of expected, though. If Punk (as in, Vegapunk) is in the name of an island, then the truly bizarre is a must.
