I didn't know people love Kaku as much as I do. Pleasantly surprised.

RE: Chapter 784 : Gear Fourth
I was torn for a moment by Gear 4 Luffys design but I think I love it. Certainly a callback to Nightmare Luffy, at least visually, only better.

RE: Oda's Interviews
the ending:
Hahaha, no no, I won’t be pulling off some kind of Wizard of Oz thing like that. After having gone through an adventure like that, it wouldn’t be fair to not actually give them a reward.Funny that he mentions Wizard of Oz. I was just reading about the Emerald City theory.

RE: Seven Deadly Sins
So what changed your mind ?
Mostly, I find the characters likable and their interactions interesting. Toriko is one of several series that I read weekly and over last few arcs, which have taken place with the four heavenly kings as a unit (Mugiwara style) the weaknesses of Toriko's characters have been exposed. Their interactions are so shallow. They've lost a lot of the personality that made them interesting when they were used more sparingly. In contrast, I really like the way the characters play off of one another in Nanatsu no Taizai. Their dynamics are really fun and fluid, they all retain who they are and have a unique relationship with one another. Character interaction is one of One Piece's strengths too, though many would argue, with some reason, that it was largely better pre timeskip and that Oda handled six lead characters much better than he handles nine.
The little tournament arc won me over as well. There really is nothing more shonen than a tournament arc and done well it they can still be a lot of fun. It's basically the ultimate shonen cliche and its very hit and miss. For example, I'm really liking Boku No Hero Academia's current arc but I strait up dropped Fairy Tail coming out of one of its tournament arcs because I hated it so much.
I still don't think this is brilliant, it's not doing anything that I haven't seen a million other shonens do just as well but it is very much on the good end of mediocre and I'm happy I found it. I'm pretty annoyed with Toriko at the moment and I really needed a fun series to get me out of that funk.

RE: New AP champion
Pretty sure Seth Rollins would be better suited to be the new AP champ.
