I was kinda hoping/expecting that Nami would lay claim to Camie by saying she already bought Camie from the Flying Fish Raiders, and making them draw up a receipt to support that claim.

Yes baby BAM in your face. Damn that felt good.
Time to work, gonna color that page.
Even if Nami did something like that, do you think that the Nobles would listen? I think that Charlos would ignore her and if someone tried to side with Nami and make a scene, Charlos would probably shoot them.
She wouldn't argue with Charlos but with the auctioneer, and the auctioneer would have to settle it with her regardless of Charlos objections before he could make any sale.
But as I said: I wouldn't expect her to succeed if she tried.
Oh shit luffy just destroyed that tenrytuubito!
best chapter so far of this arc
Great chapter, we all knew that punch was coming but DAMN!
Anyway, despite what people are saying I doubt there will be an immediate Government response, considering the declaration of War, and Rayliegh's(sp?) presence on the island. Did'nt Garp mention last chap about not wanting to take on two legends at once?
The last two pages are so goddamn epic!
I think there isn't anything better to close volume 51 than this. Oh, and I think it's the first time I really want to see someone dead in One Piece! :getlost:
Holy crap that chapter was awesome. Just a quick question:
How on earth did Chalros pick his nose with his helmet on?
Wow this chapter was great. A Tenryubito finally got hit. This is sure to be the start of something amazing.
The helmet is also a bubble and it seems to be quite easy to strike through it without destroying it.
How on earth did Chalros pick his nose with his helmet on?
It's just a bubble, not a solid helmet.
She wouldn't argue with Charlos but with the auctioneer, and the auctioneer would have to settle it with her regardless of Charlos objections before he could make any sale.
But as I said: I wouldn't expect her to succeed if she tried.
I doubt the auctioneer would simply ignore his objections.
Fact of the matter is, Charlos is a Noble, he can do whatever he wants. If Charlos expresses an interest in Camie, by what we've seen of him, Charlos would simply point the gun in the auctioneer's face, and demand that his money be accepted regardless of whatever happened beforehand.
Every time Luffy saves a female member who he considers a friend from something seen, done, or known by the World Government he seems to get a new bounty.
Great chapter end, enough said! I was expecting it since when they landed on the Shabondi islands, but still it felt really goooood!

I would assume that any ownership issues must be dealt with first, otherwise all the slave trade becomes illigitimit and anyone can steal whatever slaves from others that they want. (aslong as they can "hack"/lockpick the collar)
The issue of a slave being stolen from his or her rightful owner should be serious enough that even a WN shuts up and waits for it to be resolved.
The Straw Hats are lucky, an Admiral wont come. The WG, at the moment, are more worried about Whitebeard's wrath!
anyone else agree that Disco needs to feel some pain as well?
Also.. reading all your predictions. If the supernovae were smart, they would ally against the coming of an Admiral. They may be considered rookies.. but they are renowned captains of the grand line. I doubt Kid and law are dumb enough to escalate the fight in the auction house, nor draw attention to themselves.. but if they were simply in danger.. i'd see them taking the side of who they know best, other pirates. They can fight later..
luffy has just set a precedent by beating the crap out of carlos, what remains to be seen is whether or not the other supernovae will run with it. i figure it'll be split into 2 groups, those that are too afraid for their own skins to stick around, and those who see an opportunity in what luffy has done, either for profit by robbing nobles blind or for the furtherance of some ideal that they happen to hold by doing the same.
regardless, Garp is already on the way to deal with rayleigh and there is the definate possibility of a full admiral being dispatched as well. the proverbial brown stuff has hit the fan, all thats left is to see how dirty the room gets.
Garp's at the very least on his way… Thats worrying enough. ¬_¬
This chapter is indubitably cool but I still can't wait until Zoro finally figures out the situation. You think Luffy has jacked things up? Wait until the demon is released.
I didn't want to believe it before, but Kidd will be important. Just look at his crew. to me they don't scream 'fodder' like some of the others. The ones that scream fodder to me are Capone, Hawkins, Urouge and sadly Apoo(my favorite:sad: ). Until they have more interaction with the strawhats I say they're goners.
I'm expecting the WG to respond immediately to this situation.
If the SH were the only pirates (rookies) on the grooves, then maybe the WG could afford to react slowly. But there are 8 other pirates crews there (1 of the other rookies is a member of 1 of the 8 crews). Also, Luffy did this in broad daylight with everyone to see it. They HAVE to react to save face. Is it an inconvenient time, hell yeah, but they don't have a choice. I'm actually guessing that some of the rookies will be captured by whatever force is sent from the Marines. Maybe Garp will be forced to return with at least 1 head. That's why there are so many rookies there.
I wouldn't be surprised if Charlos' dad orders his henchmen to seize luffy, and then when that fails, he'll make a threat about calling an admiral and of course luffy will hell out something like "like hell I care", classic luffy phrase :)
I'm definitely convinced that Luffy's punch towards Charlos is going to be the ignition of the "War" that Drake hinted about. I think the WG actually would want this. Like killing two birds with one stone, they have Ace, so naturally nipping the bud of the Supernovas with an Admiral seems ideal.
Oh yes.
That punch was brilliant Luffy.
@freedom,
Actually, I'm expecting the contrary.
The WG protects the Tenryuubito, but right now they're up against Shanks and WB.
Plus, I really doubt people like Aokoji, Garp and even Sengoku like those pampered nobles enough to protect them now. So, I'm picturing a scene with them being all, "we're tired of cleaning up after you people".
The fact that there are this many pirates with high bounties, the WG would be fools to waste men on them while trying to focus on WB.
Also, the Admirals may not be available~
But, shifting things from another POV, I can totally see the Rockies teaming up to defeat whatever force the WG can spare.
Law seemed rather bored, I don't think he'd mind showing us his "doctor" skills.
Rayleigh isn't going to be sitting around doing nothing ESPECIALLY when he sees our rubbery little Gol D. Roger lookalike.
IMO it will be something like this - everybody is scared of what luffy did and are afraid of admiral coming. and suddenly Garp comes to solve that case with Silver, but everybody thinks it is becouse of Carlos. so then we will have Silver "introduced" to others and everybody is schocked, especially SH and Kid. Kid tries to show how strong he is and attacks Silver who takes Kid down with 1 hit K.O. (like with Bellamy) - wooow he took 315 mln guy with one pounch! 315mln? those marines these days are giving bounties for nothing…
Oh yes.

Good thoughts. I think that Law not being featured at all in the chapter (not even a reaction!) might be up to something. And he seems devious enough to decide to simply show his "surgeon" skills on a noble (i'd hope).
Rayleigh will DEFINITELY take notice or interest in Luffy. And Kid will either run.. or make his presence known!

I think you posted this in some other thread too :P
but I actually don´t think Kid is thaaaaat weak…or Garp thaaaat strong (okay,he cornered Roger..but...)
if we think about it,the way Raleigh is 100 times strong than Luffy,Garp could be 100 stronger than Kidd/Luffy too...
I think Kid gets a bigger role though^^
Now that was an epic chapter. The ending was just awesome and I hope the next chapter has some more ass kickin on the part of Luffy.
Damn, we've been waiting for the pay off ever since we met those damn nobles and it was good. Nothing terribly original with the punch to the face, but that ass Charlos was just begging for it and Luffy delivered.
The way Kidd is looking at Luffy just before the big hit is interesting as well. We've heard Kidd dumping on the nobles so maybe he is gaining respect for Luffy, or maybe he just wants the chance to fight Luffy, probably both.
I hope Disco gets a good ass kicking here along with the rest of the racist twits.
Can't wait to see how the government chooses to respond…

Just bringing what I said earlier back from obscurity
I hope Robin comes next chapter and clutches everybody in that room, all those racist bastards! Hope she breaks their backs like she did Spamdam's!
Oh yes.

I've considered the other POV where no one is sent to defend the WN.
However, the WG and the Marines are two separate entities. The WG is probably the entity that protects the WN, this seems like the type of thing they'd do. The Marines may not even like protecting these cocky jerks (The WN). However, because the marines work for the WG, I think there's a big chance that the WG will order the marines to defend the WN even if it's really inconvenient.
My other reason for thinking this is based on the pattern of shounen stories. Almost always, the worst possible situation happens. Though it's normally not in favour of the protagonists, but generally against them. hmmm… maybe I need to rethink this one.
Regarding the pirate team-up. C'mon now... I just don't see that happening. Everyone will stay around at least long enough to see how the WN react. And what would be more exciting? Having the SH crush the WN and nothing happen? or having an Admiral show up and seeing Silvers Rayleigh defend everyone from the Admiral? I know my pick :)
Wow what a great chapter…especially the last scene... it was very satisfying.
Luffy sure looks angry in those last couple of scenes.
I think now it's a good time to further develop Luffy's "Aura"...
I think there's a reason why Oda showed Luffy using his aura when fighting against Duval... and the same reason why he showed Silver using it.
If Luffy does use it....maybe not in the next chapter but maybe some chapters after that.... it can help separates who's truly strong, and who's not.... and who's ready for the new world.
Anyways... I want to see more Luffy and co action.
Waiting for the rest of the mugiwara crew to arrive.
@$abZ:
The Straw Hats are lucky, an Admiral wont come. The WG, at the moment, are more worried about Whitebeard's wrath!
Pfft please, I disagree with this. Again, the World Nobles are too important for the government to ignore. Remember what Papagg said: "They have the blood of the creators in their veins". These people are the descendants of the kings who founded the government in the first place, so the government WILL consider their well-being to be top priority. So yeah, it's most definitely certain that an Admiral will appear. Which one will appear? Lay it down it's a bet, roll the dice.
This chapter basically was all about building up the tension for Luffy punching out my man Charlos. That was the theme, this punch was the only relevance in setting up the upcoming events in the next chapters to come (Say it wasn't?). I liked Charlos, I liked his trigger happiness and now my man is down for the count.
Luffy has one the best angry faces I've seen in manga. His is up there with Josuke from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
And now, we've seen just how much humans in SA look down on fishmen. I sort of knew that Luffy would be the one to screw everything up by hitting a noble. So, I really can't wait to see what's gonna happen next.
Man Luffy was really pissed. That world noble had it coming to him.
I am starting to like Kidd, though what exactly was the metaphor of the world Kidd was referring to? That the nobles get what everything they want?
Do you think that the admirals will really come, they could be too busy with Whitebeard. Maybe they will send Garp he seems strong enough to take care of the supernovas. He is after all the man who cornered Gold Roger a few times.
@Senshi:

Did you ever read Berserk? Guts in my opinion has the best angry face ever in a manga.
never felt a punch by luffy so satisfying.
god, i love him when he is so angry. n_n
Garp was saying that he didn't want to send too many people to the island, but now Luffy's punch will force an admiral to the island, I want to see if they make any kind of connection between those two things.
After ten years of contiuous releasing one would think a manga is well beyond its peak of tension and action story development. All wrong for One Piece ^^
Sabaody Park Adventure!
Every time Luffy saves a female member who he considers a friend from something seen, done, or known by the World Government he seems to get a new bounty.
Hey your right. I didn't notice yet ^^
But Camies case is a couple of numbers smaller than Robins, Namis or Vivis.
Seriously, best punch ever drawn.
Currently coloring the scene.
Here an "preview":
So much emotion, damn….
!
Dude. Nice Work! Can't wait for the finished product!
Edit:You should put that in a spoiler box. It really screws up my page. But nice work again!!
This Chapter is Awesome.
I don't see why the government need to go all out for Whiteberd. Sure, he is one of the Yonkou, but it seem you guy are overestimate him. If the government cann't deal with One Younkou, they would not be here now. 2 Admirals and several Vice Admiral or SCBKs is enough.
Rayleigh is Gold D. Roger right hand man, yet , there is no way he is 100x Stronger than Luffy. He should be around Vice Admiral or Admiral level. And i doubt that he can win against Shank now.

This whole war with WB, is more the WG's concern and orders, not the marines. Also, marines and the WG are the same thing, admirals start off as marines and work their way up. Marines are simply the weaker footsoldiers.
Also, if Luffy finishes them off quickly, how will the WG ever find out?
Till then, they'd have escaped to Fishman island.
Which in a way supports the no help for those losers theory.
If a admiral does come, or more…when will they have the time to get their ship coated?!
That made me think of another thing.
A admiral comes, sees how "unworthy" the Tenryuubuto are and kills them.
Why?
Because they are not only pathetic, but also know their dirty little secret, probably concerning the void century.
Gah, so many possibilities, I want the next chapter rite NAO!

Whoa bro. You are seriously underestimating these legends. Whitebeard isn't called 'THE STRONGEST MAN IN THE WORLD' for nothing. And Rayliegh is Gol D. Roger's Right Hand man. GOLD ROGER'S Right Hand man. The FORMER PIRATE KING. Dude you've got illusions running through your mind. That or drugs.
Edit:^that's got me thinking. When the hell are the strawhats gonna get their ship coated? With the way things are right now its just way too hectic for them to just waltz up to Reighly( How the fuck do you spell that?!) and ask him to coat their ship. The way i see it a huge battle concerning the strawhats happening and then during the after-party Silvers (fixed) coats it. Becuase for every action there is an equal an opposite reaction, so in to calm this chaos down an equal amount of chaos must negate it. I also forsee other unintroduced characters coming into the mix cuz' they can't have a party with just the strawhats, Hachi, Caimie and Reilly. Get ready for the big party!! This shits just the beggining!!!
I just state my opinion, no need to being so rude.
Being the former pirate king righthand man does not mean he god ok?
I did not say he weak. The fact that i say he is at Admiral level mean that i acknowledge his strenght, and how he fainted the guy using aura. i just say that he is overestimate. For example 100x stronger than Luffy. Wait, If i remember correctly, his wife said that 100x stronger than all the rookies combine which is imposible, and some people actually belive that just because he is G D Roger right hand.
And for the strongest man, 2 Admiral, serverals Vice Admirals and SCBKs are not enough ? Do you want the 3 Admirals, all Vice Admiral, and 7 SCBKs come out to face him or something? Do you underestimate World Government that much ?
^Sorry if I came off rude, but I still think that Reighly is 100x as powerful as Luffy. She said just Luffy, not combined w/ the 11. And basic shonen law is that people get stronger with age
.
GO!! DARK SAGE!! ATTACK!!
Wow. That was great. All of those other pirates will be floored by this. Now 315 Million got his wish. So now an Admiral will be on the way. I'm thinking that Raleigh will be impressed at how far the Straw Hats will go to protect their friends. I also like how Hatchan's story has mixed with the Straw Hats once again. Now we have to see how this will play out.
Also(adding my 2 cents) the big problem is that Whitebeard is the strongest man in the world with many people in his crew. Ace was the 2nd Division Commander, right? Think of more people just as strong & stronger. With Whitebeard intervening directly this alters everything. So right now, taking on Whitebeard while still keeping everything else under control is a large undertaking. Having to fight another monster(Raleigh) would be too stressful. However, now they've another thing on their plate.
I don't get why the WG need to fight Rayleigh now ? He is a legend but he now just retire. Going out have some fun, and sell himself to pay off debt. He did not do any threat to the Government. Yes the Government should capture him for being dangerous, but they can deal with it later after WhiteBerd. Unless the man stir something up, i see no reason to deal with him now.
Rayleigh will help Straw Hat coat the ship. The WG has to stop him creating another Pirate King lol

We all saw what happened to CP9, apparently one of their strongest weapons.
Defeated by mere rockies…
ONE OF THEM WHO REMINDS PEOPLE OF ROGER.
Note that nobody said Luffy is stronger then roger or anything.
Basically, both the WG and SH have far to go if they want to defeat WB.
Also, do you honestly think Rayleigh would just sit there and let a noble push him around?
I'm contradicting a previous post of mine, but Garp was probably sent for the Tenryuubuto's protection.
So that Rayleigh doesn't end up kicking their arse.
I bet they're gonna blame Rayleigh for this whole chaos going on right now.
To Lucky| Think of it like this. If a world known criminal, one of the most wanted, were to disappear for years & show up on the street, would authorities leave him be?
"Sorry to burst your bubble Mr Chalros, oh, no wait, I'm not, that was totally intentional."
My God, what a dramatic chapter we had this week, that guy just opened up a Pandora's Box of destruction. I still want to know what's going on with Rayleigh, wonder if he's aware of these events or if he's in a back room completely oblivious. Also, whether an Admiral comes or not, I'm sure we'll have quite the treat in store for us next week. I love this series!
