RE: Takeshi Aono Passes Away
So sad. One of the most distinct, memorable Japanese voice actors. His Mihawk was incredible. He also voiced Piccolo Daimao and Kami in DBZ =(
R.I.P

RE: One Piece: Musou/Pirate Warriors - PS3
There wouldn't happen to be anywhere I could pick this up for <$100, would there? >_>

RE: One Piece: Musou/Pirate Warriors - PS3
Day 1.
Too bad this won't get a North American release. A European release would be nice =)
And nice to see Kuma!

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.7 Main Discussion - "The never-ending POP alts"
After receiving my Title of D Roger and DX Marine figures, I've decided to start saving space (and money). I'm officially done with POPs. These figures are freaking beautiful, and 1/6th of the price of a POP. Too awesome.
I'll probably pick up a POP once a year or so, if it's really awesome. But for the foreseeable future, the days of staying up til 3AM with a 5% chance of getting a pre-order have come to an end =P

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.7 Main Discussion - "The never-ending POP alts"
So… what are the chances of the Grandline Men Roger being reissued?
I pre-ordered him from HLJ literally the moment they started accepting pre-orders. I thought I was going to get an email when he was available. Didn't, and now he's discontinued. I missed the order completely, and pre-ordered months ago ; _________ ;
The title of this thread is way too true.

RE: One Piece x Toriko collaboration Manga
Man, I love how they're doing all this crossover shit.
One Piece is the hotness in Japan. Every other anime/manga wishes they were at it's level. We know it, and Toei/Shueisha knows it.
they tried very similar shit with Kai, and we all know how that panned out. Now they're trying their best to make Toriko into the new hotness, or at least somewhat successful. Will pairing it with One Piece help? Sure. But I can't see this helping all that much.
Still interested though =)

RE: Super Smash Bros. - Project M.
I dunno man, the Smash competitive scene is just – depressing. It's the only fighting game scene I actively despise. Maybe it's just me: but I cannot at all see how it could be fun.
Yes, because the Smash competitive scene is just no items, no wacky stages, no wacky characters all the time.
From personal experience, Smash can be played millions of different ways. I personally think they're all fun. Playing with 4 Bowsers on Hyrule Castle with bomb bombs on high is awesome, while playing Fox vs. Fox with no items on battlefield is also awesome… just in a different way. If you think competitive Smash is depressing, try watching this video:
That is competitive Smash. The internet seems to have this perception of competitive smashers as these people who don't smile, are super serious about everything in life, and play Smash Bros with a straight face all the time. This couldn't be further from the truth. Playing Smash competitively is no different from playing any other fighting game competitively. It's fun as hell.
Maybe playing with items off or crazy stages off isn't for you. Fair enough. But to say that playing that way can't be fun is just wrong. If Sakurai didn't want us to play that way, he wouldn't have included an item/stage switch.

RE: Super Smash Bros. - Project M.
Project M is awesome. Brawl+ was rushed crap, even the developers of it would tell you that.
I love the ignorant people saying "JUST PLAY MELEE LOLOLOL". Okay, I still do. Now, I could also play this with 12 new characters, infinity new stages (thanks to homebrew), balance, custom music, custom textures and much, much more.
It's accessible to both casual and competitive players. I've played it with both competitive and non competitive smashers, and have only heard positive praise. In case you don't know, you don't even need the homebrew channel installed to play it! All you need is an SD Card and Brawl.
