I wholehearted agree with you. I think I just ignored all the clues because I didn't want it to be the Master.

I thought it was "The Rani" at first. I was not expecting a female "The Master", so I totally missed the "The Missy" reference.
Honestly… not a fan. I would have preferred "The Rani" for this story.

I don't know that I'll ever get a chance to play it, but maybe, just maybe, now that I know it's out.
I never got to finish collecting everything in the first one.
The last thing I remember is playing the unlimited mode and trying to complete it, but never got to finish it.

Darth, it's okay to be bored with a story. No one will fault you if you said you've outgrown One Piece (Luffy and the Straw Hats). However, you're basically saying that at this point in the story, you'd prefer the story focus on any other characters and aspects of their development. Yet, you try to say that this will somehow accomplish world building, or give more depths to character XYZ. If you're burnt out, you're burnt out, and that's fine. Don't try to mask it under the pretense of something else.

What's 007 without James Bond?
What's X-men without the actual X-men?
I could go on and on with examples.

Does the title of the story need to be Straw Hat Luffy instead of One Piece for Luffy to be the main character… and that's just rhetorical.

I think you need to step backk and question yourself about your true feelings about the series.
Luffy is the main character. You shouldn't want an entire arc without him. That should equate in your mind to something that is NOT a One Piece story.
Oda is already one of the only manga artist that gives us a cover story and some insight into some other non-Luffy, non-Straw Hat related aspects of the One Piece World.

If you want more of that, it sounds to me like you want a spin-off. Perhaps you should write an SBS suggestion to Oda or to Shuiesha.

Just saying dude, there's Devil's Advocate, and then there's burnt out. IMHO, you seem like the latter.

I hope this has been brought up already, but we had 3 full arcs without the Straw Hats… Not really seeing the point of this poll honestly.
