@dirt:
Why do people keep asking "Where's Hachi?" as if he's been seen recently?
Because last we heard from he sidestory, Camie works with Hatchi, selling takoyaki.

well chapter seems to be good even i don't understand anything at all because it's raw. I am wandering what is that Lola seen near Thriller Bark, well chapter was so so in all…
oh shi- awesome chapter there. Overloaded with new stuff!
considering weve been stepdancing in place for the past 4 chapters,it HAS TO BE.
Thanks BF.
Forget Zoro and Usopp, I'm more interested in seeing Nami meet Hatchi again. Also, will Luffy attack him on sight? Since they met his wife (or at least buisness parntner), there will be no doubt that she will take the SH crew to meet them. We'll see him again in the next 1-2 chapters. Can't wait.
I can see Zoro's reunion with Hachi being somewhat like his reunion with Helmeppo's.
Hachi-Roronoa Zoro! I will not forgive you for what you did to me!
Zoro-Err, have we met before?
Hachi-YOU DON"T REMEMBER????!!!
Zoro-…...oh yeah, you were the octopus who gave me that ride back then, hey thanks for that by the way.
Hopefully, it'll be something like that.
I'm really wondering how Nami will react to seeing him though.
Wouldn't it be the other way around? Hachi forgetting who Zoro is. I recall him being somewhat forgetful and generally confused.
@AWB:
Reunion….. with Usopp?
Oops… I remembered Hacchi getting tricked into being a chauffeur and for some reason assumed it was the crew's resident liar. But in any case, he seemed much happier at the end of his cover story than he ever was being Arlong's grunt, so maybe Hacchi will be grateful?
Also, what's with Camie and sea monsters? Is it bad luck, or is she just extra tasty?
@Onigumo: Luffy would never attack someone who offers him takoyaki.
So, can we assume that Fishman Island guards a passage under the Redline? We know that Laura's crew passed through there on their way back from the New World, right? And there certainly doesn't seem to be any other way around that wall of rock.
can we get a rapidshare mirror. I cant seem to download
thanks for the chapter anyway
Just to get things straight:
Her name is
" ケ イミー"
(KE)(I)(MII)
"Kei" sounding like "Kay" or the Letter K, and "Mii" as in "mee". Seeing as we do not know if the K is replaced with a C (similar to Kalifa v. Califa), I am sticking with "Keimee" or "Kaymee" or anything similar to not confuse the pronunciation. I personally do not like "Camie" because it can be said in many different ways, and makes the "a" look like it is pronounced like the a in "cab", which is wrong. That is my 2 cents on the subject.
@Freeman-12:
Thanks for the chapter BF :). Nice chapter, goT A couple of questions though-
What is that big silhoute behind Thriller Bark?
Did Luffy just ask the mermaid chick to join them?
Does this mean Luffy and co. are gonna meet up with Hachi again? Thanks.
Not from what we know. Camie asked if they wanted takoyaki, that's all.
That's why she looks familiar!
OMG their faces… I'm making my signature out of that last panel :D
Just waiting for C.R.A.B.S:
Camie Returns And Befriends Strawhats
It's gonna be difficult if she joins the crew, though. She doesn't look older than 16, so she'd have no way of walking on land.
Hatchi joining as helmsman would make more sense at this point.
The eyes within a mist is with out a doubt a Gillian from Bleach who has someone found it's way to the Grand Line!
Also Camie has a pet, I doubt shes actually gonna join.

That just made my day, Stephen.
So this is one of the greatest chapters in a while
I'm just referring to the random shots of the SH's life. I love it and I'm really enjoying the revelation of the SUPER things Franky put in the ship.
Plus, hell, the chapter could be flat out made into like 3 filler episodes
Camie won't join. She sells takoyaki, no reason for her to join. Hachi won't join either, because he makes takoyaki. Basically, they've found their purpose in life already.
But what the heck is that thing in the shadows? Another Shichibukai?
WHOA WHOA HOLD IT!!
Chopper is swimming?
I don't think Camie is set on selling Takoyaki for the rest of her life. I've somewhere on my days of finding RAW upgdates that she a "wannabe" designer. Then I thought…Mermaid who can fight with Strings. Like Sima Yi in Dynsaty Warriors 6.
@FFA
Naah, neither's going to join for any long term period.
Camie's this arc's chimney/tonjit/conis/etc character. She even has a small expressive sidekick just like chimney's gonbe, tonjit's shelly, or conis' suu. It's her job to be the Strawhat's guide to the new region, get them involved in her conflict with the arc's villain, and ultimately be saved/protected by them for the course of the arc.
If she were a serious crewmember candidate, she wouldn't have the starfish.
Hacchi is more like this arc's Lola/Paulie/Wiper/Patty. A reasonably strong character that gets beaten up by the henchmen of the arc's villain to prove just how strong they are. He lacks the skill to fight seriously alongside the crew and his dream to run the takoyaki ship doesn't gel with the strawhat's New World priorities.
So while we might pick up a crewmember in FI at somepoint, Hacchi and Camie make for unlikely candidates.
Edit: Dang… got beat to the punch.
@Kuso:
WHOA WHOA HOLD IT!!
Chopper is swimming?
Inner Tube Floaties.
The only reasonable counter for the powers of the Devil.
Luffy gets weak from standing on sea water. Yet Chopper is just fine with his floaty…
Only logical explanation; They filtered the water.
and I've said in on the "Nakama" thread. She has a pet and therefore won't join. Unless in some odd twist of fate, she fights with her star fish!
But what the heck is that thing in the shadows? Another Shichibukai?
It's bigger than Thriller Bark. Even a giant… hell, even Odr isn't that big.
If Jimbei can use a scrying technique, it could be him. It vaguely looks like the outline of a Gyojin.

So baisically Shura from Skypiea?
MEGALODON FISHMAN
Jimbei's true form.
But really, if it's as BIG as you guys say, perhaps it's nothing but a Seaking or some other crap being controlled by someone important.
Its a freaking Gillian I tell yea! A GILLIAN!
Oh, I just realized. That pool is the one Franky mentioned back at the beginning of Thriller Bark. Was a bit slow picking that up, hehe.
What pool? Do you mean the Tank where they could store all kind of fish?
I don't remember any pool ever being mentioned at all in the beginning of TB.
What did he say?
Edit => Gah its really grueling to sit and wait to see whether or not the Straw-Hats get a new crew member. However I'll say htis. Camie, even though it would be awesome, will not join the SHs. Unless she uses her Star Fish as a weapon!
@Kaimei-Karasuhebi:

Can't remember exactly what chapter. Sometime before the strong crew landed, after the weak crew left. I'll look for it.
Edit: Found it, chapter 444, page 14.
Good pick up there Wagomu. I had forgotten that that was part of the Soldier Dock system.
@Fire Fist:
Whoever suggested Gyojin Island was under the Red Line… well, turns out you were right. From here, it's straight down.
I still don't think Camie will join the crew, though. Her whole situation gives me a Vivi vibes. Bad Vivi vibes. I just hope she's not a princess of Gyojin Island or something.
It's been hinted that Fishman island would be underwater ever since the Log Pose was pointing downward. Makes sense it'd be under the Red line since what we saw from Reverse Mountain we know how big the landmass is. What other way could pirates get through the Red Line if Fishman Island wasn't the connecting point between the two halves of the Grand Line.
Thanks BF. This chapter was such a relief. No backtracking to Impel Down, the extra long Hacchi cover arc turns out to have been relevant, and wow…. the Redline certainly lives up to its hype.
Yes I'm so happy the people that were clamoring for an Impel Down arc were shut down by a simple line from Luffy. I just wonder if the Gedatsu and Ener coverstories will somehow intertwine with the main story.
Concerning seeing what the New World is like, I think sometime during the beginning of it Luffy and Whitebeard will meet soon while the latter is en-route to Impel Down to bust out Ace. I personally think it'll be a good way for them to finally meet.
Wait, how can Chopper keep his hybrid form and, well, move inside water? o.O
And Camie and that little thing got my aproval. Love their faces.
I can't see why the simple fact she appearad makes her a potential Strawhat, but if she keeps the sense of humor (something Vivi forgot when she stoped impersonating Miss Wednesday) I will have no complains.
The floatie still floats even though Chopper can't.
Hence the name FLOATIE.
Okay, just read the page where the "BIG CREATURE" shows up..
That thing indeed looks like something that could be the biggest Shark Fishman ever….
Or perhaps the biggest Giant squid Fishman.
But hell, that would be truly one GIANT squid.
I'm not too worried about the big thing in the mist. I'm more into who the next and perhaps the last crew member is!
@Kuso:

It seemed more like if there were more than just one.
It pretty much looked like one GIANT Giant Squid and a couple of smaller ones.
The split panels with the close ups to the shiny eyes kinda gave me the impression that those were just the two smaller things that were besides the big one.

What? did he do that in this chapter? (I havent read it yet) or are you making something up?
DF users should acording to an SBS only get weakened proportional to how much of their body is submerged in the water.
@.access:
Wait, how can Chopper keep his hybrid form and, well, move inside water? o.O
Since Chopper has spent so much time in his hybrid form it has become his most "familiar" form and thus the form he goes to when affected by Sea Water
remember what form he went to after Franky took him out of Monster Point?
Chibi-form.
UHHHhhh Refresh my memory. Was it Seastone that made Luffy weak when he was in Arabasta or did the seawater get to him?
@Kuso:
UHHHhhh Refresh my memory. Was it Seastone that made Luffy weak when he was in Arabasta or did the seawater get to him?
That was the seastone cage that Croc kept them in
The water eventually affected him when it was up to his waist (I believe) but orginally it was the cage
Wait, Keimi has been eaten before?
And I've found out something. No matter how big they are, you can always survive being eaten by a Sea king. Check out The Franky Familys' pets.

It's not just Sea Kings, remember the snake in skypiea?
Remember Mr. 3?
Remember Luffy or Chopper against Wapol?
Remember Croc against Luffy?
Swallowing = ineffective in OP
Sanji will be disappointed
/sexual joke
Is the translators dead or something? o.o
Why does Camie keep getting swallowed, then spit back out? Does she get lost easily? Haha ^.^
Translators aren't going to translate from Chinese.
Though, I am curious over a script - tis SUPER slow at work today, so I've got plenty of time.
Is the translators dead or something? o.o
Its time for that time of the week…. When we look to the skies... Que Piano music!... And wonder what the Heck their saying.
Oh lets sing the translation song!
Where is it that translation?
You don't have a clue what they Said,
not what they did this chapter
We just look at the pictures and stare!
Oh come, come on translation!
Oh on and get the hell up here!
We don't have a clue what they said!
They could be saying rude and stupid!
But who cares we havent' got a clue!
Lol... Sorry, I must have misplaced my sanity somewhere in the last few days. Even I don't have a clue why I'm acting like this!
@Kuso:

Brooke was the 8th so there's two more crew members.
I personally care more for the story at hand than who makes up the crew within the next 100 or so chapters. Especially considering the story will develop to that point.
Considering the chances of them going back to Thriller Bark are small, I suppose that the giant thing might play a factor if it's heading towards Fishman Island.
