I honestly don't know.
If it's indeed Lola, this behaviour is suspicious. And the only alternative that came to my mind was Doffy's Queen.
Dunno, she always had kind of a rapey vibe.

Oh shit. I completely forgot how her shadow acted during Thriller Bark. That's actually really creepy if true. Absalom level creepy. One of the men has lipstick on the belly, how did that happen…? Lola is much taller than a regular human, did she beat them first and then kissed his torso? Or was she crouching? Or did she held them up like a doll, Big Mom / Brook style?
Man, this is super disturbing. Why did you bring that up? I didn't even notice that these man had lipstick allover them.
Edit:
Maybe it's an attack, like Ivankov's hellwink? Flying lip-imprint-smooch or something?
On the subject concerning the likability of Kozuki Oden, I don't believe it really matters if the reader thinks he's cool or not since he's already dead anyway. Still, I don't think one can make a fair assessment of him one way or the other after appearances that span a whopping two chapters.
I'm more curious about what role Kurozumi Orochi will play, I think that's what will make or break this flashback. Seems like his rise to power is what we're going to focus on moving forward. Which would be appropriate because as far as i'm concerned, Orochi is a more reprehensible figure for this arc than Kaido is.

Did Orochi invite Kaido to Wano? Or did Kaido invade Wano and Orochi sided with him? If Orochi is the reason why Kaido is in Wano, then he is more important than I thought he was.

I think Kaido knew of Oden from being on Roger's crew. Being the younger guys on their respective crews, they could've been rivals during that time, but we'll have to wait and see. This current flashback was 3 years before the God Valley Incident
I just hope next chapter will start to talk about all of this. Whitebeard,Roger,Kaido, etc….it would be boring as hell instead if it will be centered on Oden meeting Ashura Doji or Raizou. Do we really need to know how he met and conquered the heart of everyone of them? I think we dont. Just skip some years and go to the really good stuff. Oden meeting Whitebeard and Orochi meeting Kaido, those are the key factors of this flashback.
I hope Oda takes his time with the flashback. He's been skipping too much lately.

I would rather see the fire festival soon and maybe finish the oden flashback later when scabbards/momonosuke get to fight the shogun/kaidou. Too much stuff going on in present with orochi and the alliance to focus on flashback. Not even going to mention about stuff going on outside of wano like wg vs warlords.
Seen some colloquy about who is and isn't Luffy's "executive" recently. If there are any execs in this crew, it shouldn't be a question on this forum. Apropos, where they are walking to, is the eponym for this forum.

Where was this convo? I imagine that if he has executives in the crew, it would include literally all of them.
Hmm I wonder how Oden lost to Kaido, I doubt it was a fair fight. Not that Kaido can't beat him, but I think it was more of a hostage situation or something underhanded that Orochi did.

Recently, all over Twitter and in the past spoiler and chapter threads. Not this chapter thread tho.
The Strawhats are different from most crews, I agree with that last part. If it came down to three that has been talked about, I can't see it not being Usopp, Sanji and Zoro
Usopp has the whole vice Captain thing going on for him, and he is usually the face and spokesperson for the crew. So I can see him having a special place in the strawhats.
But still, we tend to think of them as the core crew because they were the first 4 to join, I think.
They were the first 4 to join because they are the core of the crew. It is not an accident that the author chose this order.
the SH's have no need for executives. Their fleet will listen to them because of sheer respect and gratitude regardless of hierarchy. Even when considering Luffy who is now a captian of a grand fleet, being captain for him seems to be more about his responsibility toward his crew than it being some sort of title or entitlement while the crew respects and trusts him to be the captain without there ever being an overall authoritarian feel to it.

Seeing how kaido is all about fighting, taking his opponents hits, and dying a warriors death. It is very improbable what you suggested.
AP Fourms is back baby
Was starting to worry yesterday.
I checked dozens of times. Thank god its okay now.
For a second, I thought that we got some killer spoilers early and it crashed the forums loll but then it lasted over a day so I was like nahh
Was this forum offline for a few days?
Yaay, it's still alive :D Yup, ArlongPark was down for quite a few days until today
Thats a shame, just before the site went down i posted a theory about what was happening outside Wano, and considering the fact we were on a break maybe it could have been funny to discuss about it. Instead the site was down all the week and now we're already in a 'pre-chapter' mood and soon we'll come back to discuss about Oden and Ashura Doji (fascinating! sarcasm). But maybe nobody would have replied to my theory anyway so i'm just making a problem over nothing

If you would want people to read about your theory about what is happening outside of Wano it might be a good idea to say where you posted it or, in case you haven't posted it yet because the site went down, perhaps post it somewhere.
I've always felt that Oda went overboard in how long-winded his flashbacks are. Especially when they're not about characters who are in the crew (Law's being an exception, I liked that one), like the one about Montblanc and the Shandorans before they got tossed into Skypiea.

Are you joking? You just mentioned my favorite flashback in one piece.

People have different standards. I don't generally like flashbacks at all with the exception of Montblanc. Maybe it's because the overall story doesn't really progress and we read on a weekly basis.
I know the flashback normally add atmosphere, background and world building but to me they are mostly a necessary evil.

I just thought that tree-cutting thing breaking their friendship was kind of dumb and added nothing and could have been cut short. Even if only by one chapter, that all could have been done more concisely.
ill be honest i really do not care about odens flashback at all. i know oda keeps hyping him up but i don't care. i really hope this flashback isn't too long.
Same here, didnt get invested in a character one bit
I'm not usually a fan of flashbacks, but this time I hope it goes on for a while because I'm enjoying it more than Wano itself.

It's gonna be long so get comfy lol
Well the flashback should build his character and make him more interesting, and the plot relevance of the flashback is a sure sign that it's going to be long.

It is not Kaido that am doubting, it is Orochi. Also Jack did resort to poison against Cat n Dog. Not saying a pirate shouldn't, but the way Oda introduced Oden I doubt that his defeat would be a fair one. Also we need to see how despicable Orochi really is(yes, more than what already know about him).
At the very least each "proper" scabbard will get a chapter of focus, with Cat/Dog sharing their introduction to the Odenwanking country club.
And yes, I'm very interested in this flashback as well. Can't wait to see Kaido wreck this guy. Followed by the boiling scene, of course.

I'm with this. I doubt it was a fair one either.
The official Chapter 962 is late?
