For those who missed the reference :
It's Brook's voice character (seiyuu) singing.
Liked the chapter, once again. I think I'm going to stop reading spoilers for a while, since I only get to read chapters at about 5 PM, so a couple of hours after their release.
This chapter had the right amount of humor (like Luffy hitting the crocodile when he speaks, it doesn't have an impact on the story whatsoever but you still smile when you see it). Brook singing about Nekomamushi was nice, and Chopper falling in love with that reindeer… Saw it coming. 'Had to.
I wasn't expecting Nekomamushi to be this jolly ~not from what we saw in the Jack vs. Mink flashback. But he has a great personality and I'm fine with that.
Zoro resumed the situation quite well. You may find his reaction quite harsh but it's not like he doesn't like Sanji or anything :
! @RomanceDawn:
! > Zoro is being an apple hole. He's right in bringing up the facts but he's being a real jerk with some of his other words. And while Sanji went directly to Big Mom, it's not like Luffy didn't egg her on just a couple of weeks ago while Zoro stood there smiling about it.
I don't like what he said but it's nice that he said it, giving the crew lots to discuss. Zoro is giving the impression that he would be ok with taking on Kaidou without Sanji. I don't buy it. I suppose like with Usopp returning to the crew he wants it to happen but you really couldn't tell how much he was glad to have Usopp back until it actually happened.
He's just that guy. Like back in Water Seven, he just has to put emotions apart and say how things really are right now.
But still, there's no way Luffy would ever let a friend down. They're saving them, and I'm pretty sure they'll have the Minks' help – any kind of help.
I'm going to restart the discussion about the possible blood-relation between Sanji and Killer. Killer being a Vinsmoke family member would allow to add the KHA alliance in the story line, thus being able to face Big Mom more easily.
!
(I didn't create this)
So the Vinsmoke aren't royalty, or Celestial Dragons… but assassins ?
Not really into that, gotta say I was surprised and a bit disappointed in the same time.
Thing is, his father (note that they talk about his father, not his family in general) is an infamous man in the underworld.
What's strange here is that Pekoms says "You've never heard of him ?" as if someone who's main activities are illegal should be known to start with (you could take counterarguments with El Chapo and guys like that in our real world… yeah). What if he's something more than that ?
Consider it this way : Sanji's father is a noble, or important figure, but he has secret links with the underground. Like Doflamingo.
But then, there comes the "family of assassins" issue. Would that be held secret too ?
tl;dr : I don't know what to think about this.
Another thing I'm wondering about. Would Pekoms actually lead the straw hats to Big Mom ? It would be like betraying her, and I don't think he want's to do that. He still calls her "mama" in this chapter, so he hasn't cut the ties whatsoever.
It would be about time to reintroduce the Vive Card Lola gave to Nami ages ago.
How did Tamago react to Pekoms not being there with Capone ? Did Capone lie to him ? But then, wouldn't Sanji try to heat things up by saying what really happened, and create tension between the crew ?
Maybe Capone eliminated Tamago too. It's not like he even cared now. The success of a mission should be more important to Big Mom than the life of her minions, totally mafia-ish.
The wedding seems to make sense now. Sanji's father is marrying him to another underworld figure ; Big Mom. Thing is, he's probably going to try to crush his rival, that's evidence.
The mink have Zoan-related healing abilities (as mentionned by Zoro).
The fact that there's no break next week suggests that Oda want's to show something in particular before taking a break… Incoming, sick, revelation, guys ! :ninja:
@Kaizoku_Ou:
What if the Vinesmoke family is assigned with the assassination of Bigmom! the sponsor is the WG! (thus the "alive only" wanted poster) and it is Sanj's job to do it!, but they don't know(or they knew) that he doesn't harm ladies(in that case there's a plan B, hostage daughter..etc).
Oh yes. Now "Sanji's job", I don't think so. He quit his family long ago and they'd probably not assign him with such a mission.
They may have accepted the job but in exchange they want their son back.
Great, great theory here. shakes hand
@jazzflower92:
A family of assassins, well it looks like some theorists will be every happy.
Could you provide us a link ?
(or are you talking about this :
