    • RE: Indecision 2016 - In Soviet Russia, we elect american president!

      @Monkey:

      Things ruined by the cast giving a speech:
      -Mike Pence's friday night.

      And by a audience who were booing him, so I wouldn't call it small. And the audience at the end who booed cheered when the speech happened, and it probably validated their rudeness.

      @Monkey:

      Are you willfully mixing the audience booing with the cast giving a speech. Or is that a symptom of you not actually knowing what happened.
      Because you still don't seem to think the show was like y'know, a heavily political show.
      Do you even know shows can be political.
      Do you think Pence went to see Cats or something.

      Also where the hell were you with your "My goodness!" outrage every other day of the campaign when Pence's running mate was talking.
      If the cast had made a speech about grabbing pussies would you have nothing to say.

      Actually I was some where else saying how I disliked revelations about Trump. The thing is it's time for the left wing to be called out, because sometimes they deserve criticism as much as Trump.

      I think Pence apologizes too much for Trump, but on the other hand the theater did put him in the spotlight and it was after the whole audience was done booing him.

      It's easy to criticize Trump because he has a whole case with him, but it's not easy to criticize people who probably have the backing of so many others and they pat them on the back for doing it. For the Hamilton cast and the audience, the people are just giving them the thumbs up while people are pointing out they are not as in the right as people are making them out to be.

      What the shit? Mr. Burns is a less corrupt billionaire.

      Repeating what you said a page ago isn't goimg to make what you're saying true. Or are you just going to ignore what other's have said?

      People are candy coating this, and try to make it seem like they were doing this respectfully. And I didn't repeat it and I pointed out his family was there, and you didn't respond to the fact that they would also have heard those jeers and been there to see the cast target their father/husband.

      If this is liberal tolerance, then it can go jump in the loch ness.

      It's bad enough if it was Pence going to the performance by himself and he was put on the spotlight, but the fact he had his family with him just adds to the distastefulness. It was the wrong time to have the speech, especially after the audience booed him on. With his family there, don't you think that would have made them uncomfortable as well or you think that they should be subjected to the jeers. It was a wrong time for that message, and it should have been done in private.

      Also Donald isn't distracting anyone from anything. The media has done a good job of doing that. It's a reason I find Vox just as much left wing tabloid trash as the rest, because they are just on board with sensationalizing and being one sided.

      @Cyan:

      Someone start a tally of all the people up in arms about the Vice President getting treated like shit but openly approved/partook in treating Obama like shit.

      I'll start:

      • Donald J. Trump

      And I can open tally of people here who defend Obama from attackers, yet will let people go down on Pence when he was just trying to relax for goodness sake.

      Before people assume I am just some Trump fan girl, here's my deal is the fact that the media and left wing material are falling on the same mantra that Fox News does which is cater up self righteous anger and echo chambers.

      If you think that the country was just divided because of this election, then people need to wake up because it's always been divided. One person's candidate is pitted against the other half due to their stances.

      There is a lot of criticism to go around, but I believe this little stunt was just plain rude and people are justifying it to the point that they bulk at other people when they point it out.

      @CCC:

      Half a shithead's still a shithead when it comes to bigotry.
      The idea that anyone would try to defend this monster using semantics and "Oh, he only really wants gay people to go away, but he won't force them" is laughable. Homosexuality was declassified as a mental disorder in 1973, so let's join the 21st century, shall we?

      The word "monster" is used in order to justify not seeing someone the same as you.

      @Robby:

      Trump and Pence are also promising to have half the cast and audience arrested, put under electro conversion therapy, deported, or some variation therof, and have been saying this for 16 months.

      So, there's that.

      What do you expect when you go to a show about tolerance and liberty that's got a cast full of minorities and gays and you're heavily promoting the fact you want to stamp down on all of those groups for being abnormal or criminal?

      Here is the deal Obama has deported people, and no one is crying about it being unjustifiable. And the thing about electrotherapy has been a half truth that the media has been promoting as a truth, and worst of all people here are showing that maybe they are not so different from Trump who they believe is a bully yet engage in behavior that could be considered bullying.

      http://www.snopes.com/mike-pence-supported-gay-conversion-therapy/

      He's not even going to force anyone to it, yet that rumor still persists due to the fact that people are doing what they criticize the right for doing which is hyping themselves in an echo chamber of fear.

      Replace Pence with Biden, and people wouldn't be singing a right tune. This wasn't a conversation, but the fact that a person was trying to just relax and actually see a nice play and was bombarded with a message that didn't anything but make him a target.

      Trump demanding an apology from the cast lmao. He can go sit and spin. http://www.thedailybeast.com/cheats/2016/11/19/trump-demands-apology-from-hamilton-cast.html?via=mobile&source=copyurl

      He needs to apologize for his existence.

      I rest my case. In this case, Trump has more self justification to be pissed than the last times due the fact that most of the audience and the cast made a spectacle.

      @Robby:

      "My VP was booed unfairly! The theatre must always be a safe and special place!" -Trump
      "Dude, seriously?" -Lincoln

      No one deserves to be insulted over propoganda, no.

      The actual things they are doing, the actual policies they're putting into place that are dehumanizing and going to cause suffering for millions of people? Yeah, it's okay to be rude to them about that and calling them out for it.

      But no, stripping them naked and spitting on them would in fact be a step too far at this point in time.

      If someone was treating Obama this way, people wouldn't scurrying to say it's wrong. You know what this event shows us all that both left and right wing need to not do these types of things. And I am saying it from my opinion that I have seen a lot of left wingers do the sort of things that they criticize right wingers for doing, vice versa. And the claims that the media is ignoring the Nazi graffiti is very false, because they have been reporting on it.

      And most of the media have sided with the actors and audience over Pence, and yes I have checked other news sites and they really have sided with the Hamilton audience and cast.

      I've seen people even claim he shouldn't have even been allowed to attend. For freaking sake, he paid for the show and he wasn't doing anything that deserve criticism at that time. It was putting someone on the spotlight, and publicly humiliating them. They could have done the more mature thing which is ask for him to come privately so that they could tell him about their grievances, but doing during the show was really not becoming.

      @Sakonosolo:

      They should have stripped him naked and took turns spitting on him tbh

      Wow just wow, for people who are talking about love and tolerance you guys are scary right now in supporting this kind of mentality. I am going to be in the minority, but this does call as harassment because he was watching a show and not doing anything to earn anything. You can do it after the show but not during the show, when other people are watching.

      Sorry, but if a crowd was booing Obama during a show you guys would clamoring how rude they are and that they need to really not disrupt it. You know what no one deserves to be treated someway due to what propaganda is spewed out by partisan media because they want to created a climate of fear and hysteria. If this four years will show us, is that it's not only the alt right that is bad but the so called left wing who do such horrid stuff and don't get called out for it because they self justify themselves.
