Welp for what is worth I am guessing that once you are inside Capone's body you most likely are screwed. The way he materialized himself it makes me think he is in complete control of everything in his castle. I bet it is like Laws room but more broken.
Chapter 812: Capone "Gang" Bege
-
-
I don't think the bride will be ugly. Seeing how Big Mom has a total of 35 daughters, I think the rest of them are ugly while Pudding is the least looking normal one and beautiful. She could be 'that 3 eyed girl' for all I knew.
Wasn't Oda a fan of games of throne? Maybe we get such a moment with 34 ugly daughters and all go "omg, poor guy", and then, the 35 arrives which does look good.
-
Zoro was captured along with Usopp and Brook in FI, requiring the help of the latter to escape.
"oh no but the water..!!1!"…ok, there was a context to use as an excuse there, like there is one here.
The lamest thing was Chopper and Nami showing up captured, but that was an understandable mistake.Even if it's understandable, they could have counterattacked. But they did nothing. This is what disappoints me.

@dwo:
Capone, with Urouge is propably one of the weakest Supernovas. .
What gives you that impression? The ammount of story time they've had? Their design? The bounties? That his alligned with an emporer?
Because if its story time, Hawkins, Kidd and Apoo have had just as little.
If its design, that's subjective.
If it's bounty, they were among the lowest of the Supernova, but higher than Zoro, Sanji, and half the warlords, and not artificially inflated by harming civilians. And Urogue's 108 is a highly significant number in buddhism, so that's purely intentional.
If its the allying with an emporer, everyone teamed up with someone. Blackbeard under Whitebeard, Law with the government, Drake with Kaidou, Kidd, Hawkins, Apoo and Killer together, Luffy with Law, and Bonney is the only one off hiding on her own.
If anything, Capone just proved himself to be very competent, to the point Big Mom is trusting him with important missions more than some of her other top guys, and he completely controlled the situation.
-
I have a friend named Sanjai. My user name is based on him.
-
So that's where Lola's mom vivrecard will come into play possibly? The strawhats have an unofficial invitation to Big Moms tea party that way.
-
@Galaxy:
That looks to be a panda mistake, as Stream has him still call himself Caesar there.
looking at it right now to check mangastream again for the 3rd time, he calls himself a pharmacist and "Caedar"
-

I agree. Thing is, he can't get anybody in his body except if they are willing / forced to (not like Law's room).
-

They definitely changed it then. In their original version, they put Caesar.
He probably doesn't want to be recognized for good deeds then. It'd hurt his underworld reputation.

@dwo:
Capone, with Urouge is propably one of the weakest Supernovas. I dont think his ability is any problem the next time they meet.
The twist in the story is very interesting. I do hope we see more of Sanji from time to time and do not get a Sanji break of more than a year or so.Why do people think Urouge is one of the weakest? He is like the only one not in an alliance or part of a Yonkous crew. He is still doing his thing
-
I actually like that Capone is showing how stronger some of the Supernovas have gotten since the timeskip. Not to mention you have to have some wicked skills in order to get into the graces of one of the Four Emperors. It also shows that some of the supernovas are not like the Strawhats, and actually are the traditional ruthless pirates. Then again when you are based on the Mafia, it's piratically expected to be ruthless.
-
I agree. Thing is, he can't get anybody in his body except if they are willing / forced to (not like Law's room).
True. Still there is that weird field around Capone where things become large when they leave his body. Its possible that anyone who even comes into that close range may be drawn into his body. Hell trying to punch the guy might end up throwing you into his castle. If that was the case his fruit would be really OP.

By the way he shot Pekoms, he probably has this "nothing personal, just business" mentality.
-
I like it. I'm wondering if Sanji is more shocked to hear his family's name rather than the actual wedding it's self.
While I'm sure there is some connection to his wanted alive status I can't imagine that the Vinsmoke family has that much government influence to just give the word not to kill Sanji, only bring him in alive.
My guess is that beyond this wedding there is something more that someone wants with him.Hip hip hooray! Sonji's going to Whole Cake! Jinbe and his crew are on Whole Cake! When Big Mom is taken care of Jinbe will join the Straw Hats and leave Whole Cake!
Most likely shocked to hear his family's name but it also brings more questions into this. How in the world did Big Mom's family know about Sanji's family? What is the importance of this wedding anyway? I assume Sanji's poster being wanted 'only alive' because his family discovered that their long lost 3rd son is a pirate after his picture was taken like during after the Dressrosa incided and they wanted the government to spare his life. Not sure if they're World Nobles or not but I doubt they are, although they could be the most well known wealthy nobles that lives in the North Blue and they're respected by the World Government.
This makes me wanted to know more about the backstory of Sanji now, was wondering how did he ended up being one of the chefs in the ship known as the Orbit back in the past in East Blue? He was born in North Blue and was raised in the East Blue 9 years before the attacks in Baratie.
-

Ok that makes the most sense, I was leaning toward that reasoning, but with as much going on right now figured might as well see if any info on Caedar being a recurring thing that's been overlooked.
-
Ok, Luffy vs BigMam pirates it is. Let's fetch up our man Jimbei on the way[emoji1]
-
omg if bonney really is the daughter of big mom then the cake island arc will be the perfect opportunity for her to re-enter the story. after all you would assume big mom would invite all of her daughters to witness the wedding. bonney will help sanji for some reason and they will both get off the island together.

I like the people mad about Vinsmoke. Do you also hate Cuty Flam? It's basically the same thing.
At least he isn't Sanji Weiner, showing his thing to everyone like a certain real life guy.

We're finally getting close to learning about Sanji's background. And him becoming the centre of attention.
-
chapter was great one of the best i've seen in years
-
I'd wager Sanji's fiancé is either Jewelry or the three-eyed girl we saw with Big Momma.
-
I love that Capone is still a threat to the Strawhats, when he was first introduced I wonder how many people thought he was just going to be fodder based on his relatively low bounty and limited screen time.
Also Vinsmoke is such a great surname for Sanji.
-
i forgot that jimbei might be going to the tea party as well to plead his case! so bonney and jimbei might be there. the 2 future strawhats at the same place. maybe this is what oda meant when he said the next strawhats will join one after another. :D
-
Someone remind me of all the characters that have knelt down to Sanji. I know Cobra did but that was to the entire crew. All I can remember is Kinemon and now Pekoms. Any others bow before the 3rd Little Prince of the Vinsmoke family?
I could imagine Sanji running away as a kid because of being betrothed. He was promised to one woman but he wants them all.
-
the only thing that doesn't make sense,it's sanji's face at the end of this chapter..
for a guy who wanted so much to be famous and recognized through his poster, how much can you be surprised that someone finally actually did so?
it's not like he made any attempt to hid himself..hell he even kept it's real name apparently -

it's not like he made any attempt to hid himself..hell he even kept it's real name apparentlyIt has been a long time. Just hearing his family name and it all finally catching up to him since he became a pirate was probably what shocked him.
So what is everyone expecting now? Jack comes back, gets beat up, Law plans for the next Kaido adventure but Luffy says no and heads straight for Whole Cake?
-
!
Fun fact : "purin" means "manure" in french.
-
Well this chapter made me like Bege, Bege was like the only supernova perhaps character I didn't like much because his first appearance didn't do anything for me and I though his design didn't look very One Piece like, but ehn he was kinda badass this chapter, Pekoms father was a monkey(looked like one at least) lol and Sanji family must be some nobel family if they have enough influence to have the marines not want him dead and Big Mom is interested in marrying one of her daughters to him, maybe Sanji is lucky this time and he actually gets a cute girl.
Not much else to say I'll be waiting for the next chapters I guess.
-
Vinsmoke, what a name
I can see that brainstorm in Oda's head already: "Let me think Sanji likes to smoke and drink wine. Vinsmoke it is!"Surprised his last name isn't "Vinsmokewomen". :ninja:
-
No I haven't. But the argument doesn't hold when you take into considering that 2 years ago Luffy would've been destroyed by doflamingo but somehow he's caught up and passed DD in strength. This point of this manga has been highlighted numerous times, the SHs growth is exponential and greater than other crews. If we use your logic, DD should've gotten stronger and stronger, and luffy shouldn't have been able to beat him, since he wouldn't have been able to beat him pre time skip.
Doula was specifically told to not have improved in those years, unlike the Worst Generation.
-

Unless its a Haki Punch, but yeah I agree, he seems really dangerous
-
Lola wanted to get married at all cost, and now this. Lola said that his mother was a very important person in the new world, and she even gave her mother's vivre card to the strawhats. For me it's like 99% confirmed that Big Mom's Lola's mother.
-
Capone's awakening could be him turning into a giant moving castle.
Nope.
his awakening is likely him being able to turn other things into his castles. lets say he wants to ambush somebody he turns various trees and other objects into castles and puts his men inside. if he had lots of snipers in his crew imagine what a powerful ability this would be. he could have people everywhere and nobody would ever know. although i doubt he ever reaches the point of awakening.
-
How the hell does Capone have 3 billion? is that a typo?
-
One more thing, what if this pudin girl is Boney. Akainu took her, and didnt arrest her, so she may have a family with conections, and she also can eat shit tons of food, sanji may be the perfect husband. Sry for the english.
-

It's mangapanda messing up as usual, his bounty is 300 million.

Ah okay good thought something was weird lol
-
Throne Wars, Wedding, Pudding = Purple Wedding… I see what you are doing oda....:ninja: lol
-
So the question is what isthis Vinsmoke family to be special for both the Marine and a Yonkou. You would think it is a bit incompatible.
Also is the tea party the same one that we heard of. In this case its aim has been posponed when Sanji face was revealed ?Then i know people tend to see Big Mum as evil but I wonder if she doesn’t care at all about Pekoms so that Capone can shoot him like that. Also if the Lola theory happened to be true then Big Mum and the strawhats relationship would be full of hate and love.
-

actually if big mom is in the habit of marrying off her daughters to powerful people then maybe she married off bonney to some powerful celestial. could be why the world government was desperate to find her. perhaps they wanted her power most likely and big mom married her off in exchange for money or some other favors.
-

I would like this to happen. The idea popped in my mind in class, earlier.
Bonney and Lola both have pink hair, that can remind of candy.
And :!
!
Same heart motif around the lips.
I'm adding that the SH will eventually find BM (and Whole Cake Island) by following the Vive Card given to them by Lola (as seen in the image above).

New generation = trying to reach their full potential. Old generation = already got there.
That's not something exclusive to OP, it goes for every manga. Look at Naruto, for example: while every kid grew a lot during the time-skip, their teachers remained the same. Usually a change in the character design comes along to signify the growth - that's why the SH and supernova got new designs, but the Shichibukai, the Admiral, and other characters look exactly the same with some exceptions, like Kuzan, who got a change in their status so the design also changes accordingly.
You can be sure no Shichibukai (except Law) got stronger, no Yonkou (except Teach), no Admiral, etc., but every single supernova did just like the SH.

Guys, I'm not joking when I say this, but I think this may be the best chapter Oda's ever done. It's so, so packed with content. Follow me through the pages!
1: Hahaha Capone has Pekoms' glasses
2-3: Brilliant two part joke setup with the garuchuu with the women, then him refusing the men, then Nami refusing him
4: Plot info and some screen time for the other Straw Hats & Ceaser
5-6: Pekoms being a mink begins to come full circle. As readers we already knew he was a mink, but we didn't really put two and two together about what would happen when he'd actually come home. Interestingly enough, we already did this in anticipation for Bepo, knowing that most likely he was a mink. It doesn't help that Oda cast Law's crew in a friendly light and Big Mom/Capone in a negative one this entire time to setup for this. None of this is exactly shocking, but Oda does this stuff impeccably well. I admire his execution.
The fact that Pekoms is, indeed, a mink gives more depth to the world. He's not just a furry lion on a yonkou's crew, he comes from a place that has history and has family. Oda's just happened to have the Swirly Hats and the reader happen to be there when Pekoms comes home. Sanji's quip about how Luffy already defeated Doflamingo is excellent. It makes you recall the entire weight of the arc that was Dressrosa and reminds you that the story is finally starting to break into the next level. Now that entire 100 page arc is recent history and the waves of it will come crashing down. We also finally find out why Big Mom needed Ceaser, and of course it's a despicable reason because he's a despicable person. Shame on you, guys in the next nakama thread who believe he could be redeemed and join the crew :P7: The flow of the conversation is excellent. After reminding us about Dressrosa, Oda reminds us of the obviously and intentionally half-finished Fishman Island arc from earlier. One of those threads was Luffy's fight with Big Mom which was a serious moment that has serious consequences. It was a rookie threatening a Yonkou, of course it's a big deal.
8: One of, in my opinion, the most badass moments in One Piece. A pirate's meeting. Conducted by one of the coolest cats of the Straw Hat crew. It's also very, very important that on the page earlier, Sanji nodded to Capone to conduct the meeting, not to Pekoms. This foreshadows the seriousness of their 1 on 1 later on.
9-11: Chapters and chapters and years of setup and build up come crashing down. We've known about the conflict between the Straw Hats and Big Mom's crew for a while, but so many chapters had passed since we saw those things that they faded into the background. Pekoms being a mink, and Big Mom's crew wanting Ceaser are also played into effect here.
Next, something interesting happens. We knew Pekoms was one of the big players in Big Mom's crew, so Capone joining up with them it would make sense that he would follow the veterans like Rockstar on Shanks' crew. But he's not any rookie, he's a supernova, and we're reminded of that.
The supernovas are some of the coolest characters I've seen in anything. The impact that they had in Saboady as these extremely heavyweight characters was intense. They were a stark reminder that Luffy was not the only pirate gunning for One Piece. The fact was, every opponent Luffy had fought up to that point that was a pirate didn't really talk about One Piece or really care. Some of them even laughed at him. So it was nice to finally see a group of strong, interestingly designed pirates who any one of them could kickstart the next golden age.
And Capone is a member of that group, so obviously he's going to show that he deserves the title of being called a supernova. We also finally see what his incredibly unique ability is called, and a better idea of what it does. All while getting Oda's signature incredibly badass Capone "Gang" Bege complete with Fire Tank Pirates Captain and Bounty 300,000,000. I love how he talks about how he's riding the waves Luffy's generating. It's so, so cool to see how the ripples of the actions of the main characters and crew impact other players.12-14: Capone may have seemed a bit slow, like Paulie from Goodfellas, but it's nice to see that he's actually quite sharp. Not as much as say, Ace from Casino, but more than Nicky Santoro. It also helps that he's obviously designed like a capo, but he's also the captain of a now-renowned crew who have built up enough of a reputation to ally with one of the Four Emperors. A good showing of the skill and abilities that allowed him to do all that.
15: After all of that, the story takes a completely unexpected turn. Sanji's last name is revealed, and the fact that he apparently comes from a well known family and has two brothers. And he's about to get married to one of Big Mom's daughters. I won't talk about the endless possibilities that could be mined from this new plot development, but it's incredibly clever.
You know, I just told a co-worker this not too long ago. I was pretty mixed on Dressrosa at first but near the end I began to love it. I re-read all 100 chapters and was blown away by how it all fit together in the grand scheme of things and the isolated coolness of some of the characters and stuff we saw. And of course culminating with the formation of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. But Zou was when I started to get a feeling that One Piece was finally about to enter the endgame. When I say endgame, I mean Oda will still probably be working on One Piece for the next 10 years, but One Piece as a story is finally beginning to enter the final phase. As long as that phase may be.
I told him that I honestly believed one day One Piece would get so insane from all the hundreds of setups that Oda has done that have yet to pay off, that towards the end of the story, One Piece will be so packed and dense, that one chapter will be like the entire 12 episode season of One Punch Man. This chapter just confirms that for me. It tells me we're headed toward that direction. We won't get there just yet, but we've set sail for it at the very least :^)
I wonder who Sanji's two other brothers are? Maybe characters we've already seen?
-
Brilliant analysis, CaptainYama. @CaptainYama:
I wonder who Sanji's two other brothers are? Maybe characters we've already seen?
I do not have the slightest idea.
With all this Sanji setup going on, I'm starting to think that there was more to the reason why Sanji was sent to Kamabakka than just the "cooking" and the okama-gag (since Ivankov is a revolutionary, and an important one).
-
I have a little theory, sorry if this has been mentioned already
I think that Momo (and the samurai) have seen first hand the army of Kaido. In this chapter it's mentioned he prefers to stay up in his room and being alone there tends to settle him down. Maybe Momo and co witnessed the terror of Kaido and his Beast (/Zoan) army and the Mink tribe are triggers to some of his trauma, bringing back a lot of bad memories, trauma and terror/fear.
Maybe that's why he's where he is.
