The are not really any games that accurately cover the story in a meaningful way. My advice is to start the series (either manga or anime or dub, doesn't matter) and watch 1 episode. If you like it and have time, watch another. If not, stop take a break and come back when you're ready. There is absolutely no reason to rush or marathon this series, its better to take your time and move through it at a pace that is comfortable and convenient for you.

RE: One Piece Live-Adaptation Drama Announced
@All-Fiction Likely converted a series of Ten 1 Hour long episodes into Eight 1.5 Hour long episodes. Not uncommon for Netflix as others said. Look at Stranger Thing Season 4, every episode is 1.5 hours long, with the finale episode being 2.5 hours long. And other Netflix Original series do this too (Ozark for example off the top my head)

Disappointed Collection 30 isn't Fujitora, I personally don't like Rebecca anyway. August 2nd release date.
Also, why did they use the World Gov logo???

RE: 1075: ''Twenty Years of Prayer! Take Back the Land of Wano''
This episode was beautiful, it took a pretty mediocre chapter and got me to really appreciate and resonate with the climax. The manga ending felt empty to me, but this has been a lot more impactful. Great direction and music go a long way

@Zephray At around the 10:50 minute mark, he says "we're hopefully trying to get next year, as close to day and date one episode a week"

@Zephray Definitely feels that way lol! If I had to guess, we'll probably get a Nami cover next instead of Big Mom

Looks like we're getting Gear 4 Luffy for Collection 33. Pretty disappointing, since there are so many great characters to feature, but oh well. At least theres another nice special feature this time!

RE: Season 2 (and Beyond?) Speculation Thread (Spoilers)
I think Season 2 can cover everything through Alabasta with only 8 episodes again. I think having Whiskey Peak being heavily condensed, or combined into Reverse Mountain could work (Connect Crocus and Laboon to Whiskey Peak somehow - Vivi is the throughline, so we really don't need 2 locations to get the important plot across). Also, would love to see Smoker, Tashigi, and Hina act as the new B-Story, and throughline from Loguetown through Alabasta. They can probably be integrated into Little Garden and Drum Island in the same way as Koby.
If we do 1 for Loguetown, 1 for Reverse Mountain/Whiskey Peak, 1 for Little Garden, 2 for Drum Island, and 3 for Alabasta, I think that'll be solid pacing wise
For a potential Season 3, I think Skypiea can be heavily condensed. There are a lot of important things in Skypiea, but it also has a lot of combat bloat. Speeding up the survival game to one episode would be fine. I could see it being 1 for Jaya, 2-3 for Skypiea, and then maybe 4 to get through Water 7, ending with a Enies Lobby cliffhanger.
Then I can see Season 4 finishing Enies Lobby is 3-4 episodes, do Thriller Bark in another 2 eps, maybe 3. And finish with Sabaody in 1-2 eps, with the Separation as the big cliffhanger. Setting up Season 5 to cover Amazon Lily through to the Timeskip.

RE: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)
@Nitwit Since they came back from hiatus (Punk Hazard). Every DVD set before that had at least 2 episode commentaries per set of 11-13 episodes (So 4 episode commentaries are in each Collection set). And then usually there would be one Special Feature per set as well, ranging from Trivia, to personal interviews, to Outtakes, to Event Panel recordings.
Now, theres....... nothing.....
Just look at the Wiki and you can see clearly the lack of content since Collection 24
