@Daz:
These past chapters have felt like arriving at an awesomely cool new videogame level that you just can't wait to explore- but you gotta watch a 20 minute cutscene first. The main thrust of the story remains the crew walking around getting status updates, and when the Editors note says "What on earth happened on Zou?" I just want to know what is going to happen on Zou. Like, once the walk-and-talk is over and we know what the deal with the Gas weapon is, what happened when team Sanji arrived and fought Sheepshead, and where Sanji and CC wound up. Once all that is done I guess they're gonna go search for Raizou?
Lion-guy really reminds me of someone, might be from another manga.
Edit: Its The whole "I will do everything TO THE EXTREME" attitude. I think the character I'm thinking of said it like "A man must do nothing half-heartedly!" or something. Damn, this is going to drive me nuts.
I feel ya. Ever since chapter 805, I hadn't gotten much sense of a future conflict in the present arc. Especially because this is likely the second chapter of volume 81 and by now, Oda usually gives us an idea of who in the general vicinity Luffy is supposed to punch.
But I believe (to answer your question of what is going to happen on Zou once all this updating is done) the Minks are probably going to turn hostile (at least some of them, we know nothing about how Master Nekomamushi feels about the Strawhats or anything really about him besides his status of King of Night) once Kin'emon and Kanjuro arrive the next day. They're not going to like the fact the Strawhats haven't revealed what they know about Wano's samurai and why Jack even attacked them in the first place (based on the small hints Oda's given us). Oda wants to update us on what happened peacefully, and thus he needed to create reasons to push Kin'emon, Kanjuro (knock them off the Ryounosuke with Bariete), and Momo (keep him in dragon form and have him refuse to come out of his room so the Minks don't see him that much) out of the way before bringing them back on stage and starting trouble. It's slightly irksome, especially because all the individual Minks are lacking in character (Sicilian feels like the first one with quirks all his own and not as a piece of plot or exposition like Wanda), Oda kept a good chunk of the crew out of the picture for a long time and they still really haven't gotten back in the spotlight, and it might not be till next year that he will finish bringing us up to speed, but I think it could pay off (and better to answer what happened now, then wait for the fighting to start and has us confused and even more annoyed).
On a side note, this chapter answered one of my questions. I kept wondering why the Minks hadn't returned to their homes in Claw City, and this chapter gave me my answer. Caesar's poison gas is still in the air (now that I think about it, Franky even mentioned smelling gas in chapter 804) and it's not safe for them to return.
