I suspected you may not know that some members have said that the big pictures sometimes makes downloading time slow, and that putting it in tags helps that out. ..least that's what I've heard and most threads I've been on have had people and mods ask us to put the big images in tags.

Indeed, this is an interesting point of view. I keep on wondering if there are any repercusions whatsoever for destroying a fruit. The idea of a Devil that lives within a fruit and who can be set free might be Reading a bit too much between the lines, but at the same time, we haven´t seen the first DF eradication. I really like Kanji`s idea due to the uncertainty factor there is in destroying a DF, it feels Somewhat like a pandora box. On the other hand, maybe nothing will happen and the fruit would just seize to exist (Kind of a lame and boring outcome but within the realm of possibilities I guess)

And if you go by this logic then there could be plenty of reasons for Chinjao to be pissed at Garp judging by the reasons Ace was pissed at luffy for in their childhood with Sabo. Who knows what happened between Garp and Aniki Chinjao. (i bet it is somewhere between as silly as Huge food theft or something around there, to as huge as dream clashing or opposite visions or something like the treasure in the Ace, Sabo, Luffy story)

Question is, since water neutralizes the DF, will the power be able to jump to another fruit …or will it mean the fruit tossed into the sea can't rot (since the power can't transfer to a nearby fruit) so there for there is this Devil Fruit floating the depths of the sea. Just waitning for someone (mermaid/fishman) or something (fish) to eat it ... who then become weak in the water.
They will still be able to 'breathe' since they are water creatures that are naturally able to breathe underwater...butt hey won't be able to use the df powers move around due to the weakness of being in water.

What better place is there for the fire fruit to go? My money is on Luffy obtaining it and either saying f it i'm eating it or giving it to Rebecca so she can be a better Queen/protecter of her home country. If you dissagree thats great but to say that there is no factual clues pointing to another persons opinions just because you choose to ignore them is silly.

Dekken still drowns in water. Don't forget that a Devil user looses is powers and becomes unconscious in water. An unconscious person can't breath so he drowns, even fishmen!

I too thought about this when I thought that Luffy wouldn't care about the fruit in the first place but Oda knows his audience is attached to the fruit so it will go to someone, who to is one of the questions of this arc or saga.

And people said my Sunny Mera Mera fruit predictions is stupid. it makes total sense: central Heating, easy cooking for sanji-san, hot water all the time for Robin's showers (which should be public sooner or later :wub: why the hell only mono and chopper enjoys the fruits of heated water and evolutionary advance in beauty of Robin), Expanding Ussop's arsenal with quick making of ammo, and even weapons o sunny but who cares about that. Luffy's body is only abnormal because he grew up in really harsh conditions. Like his grand father before him he was roughing up tigers in the woods before he hit puberty. We have been given very clear indication that Teach is extremely unique in his physical makeup. Those type of hints have not been directed towards Luffy at all, not in that sense.
Besides Luffy saying he won't eat the fruit and the rules of the story indicating that he wont, Oda loves his silly fighting styles. Basically the Flame Flame fruit is too cool for Luffy.
Luffy has haki(and he trained to master it,not quite there yet but it will come) so he doesn't need a second fruit.

No real information or not the type of info you were expecting, i'm okey with this chapter because even though we knew some of this info but like this, we knew Jeango knew about the level 6 prisoners but we didn't know that he had captured some of them and knows the whereabouts of the others and it also says a lot because we might get introduced to a bounty hunter group later on due to his sources of information and not is not Logical for him only to talk about Shiryu because the other three guys were also in the jailbreak team alongside him and blackbeard, so is more logical for him to mention Sanjua Wolf, Vasco shot, Catarina Devon and Avalo Pizarro because they were also involved in it and were level 6 prisoner to begging with

that's so cliche, every character with a missing eye or an eye patch has a power up that has been saving it for the right time is like a give away but I hope Zoro doesn't have such thing but is more a slash Mihawk gave him while training
If Luffy ate the fruit there would be no point in him developing moves like Red Hawk. I think Dressrosa arc might be one of the better arcs like Enies and Water 7. I feel there's going to be a lot of emotional jumbo and revealed secrets around Doflamingo as if it wasn't obvious. I liked the interaction between Chinjao and Luffy in this chapter, reminded me of Luffy and Zoro during Alabasta when Mr. 5 and goldenweek were in the way.
how is that obvious, you do realize that If Oda decides to tell us the whole DD story it will involve the WG and the tenryoubitos as a whole, it will be like a giant package of information that I don't think we should or he will give everything at once
I hope we get to see more from the strawhats besides how crazy they are, want to see them make better use of their abilities and enhanced knowledge of their ship roles. If the SH's are fighting the marines, instead of Luffy Gear Thirding the warship all the time, Franky could say where the weakpoint is and try to get someone to hit there like Jimbei(under the hull).

Also, Zoro's fighting style got more boring over time. Asura mode or whatever demon eye he has hidden under that scar look like they could be interesting, but I'd like to see more swordless style or something.

Chopper's been particularly disappointing recently. Already immobilized by his own power twice since FI and he went Monster Point just to K.O his first opponent. I'm not sure if Oda was just trying to show off his control over it, but that could've waited. Heavy Point was nice enough already. Might as well see more of his doctoring skills. If he's such a great doctor, he should know the weakpoints of the human body and have a good understanding of the anatomy of various creatures. Something he showed fighting Luffy's zombie in Thriller Bark.
Oda was trying to show us that Chopper has control over his monster point now and hasn't he showed us enough of his doctoring skills and how the hell is he disappointing

Usopp's best fight in my opinion was against Luffy. Really showed his resilience and ambition, we need another like that. Maybe when he finds out what he and his 8,000 dwarf followers will be fighting for he'll get more serious and show off his sniper skills. I'm not liking the pop greens too much, doesn't fit his sharpshooting theme. The trampolia yes because it can give way to other strategies, but some of them are just fodder clearers.

I'n not against Luffy eating the devil fruit but Fire and Rubber doesn't really mix that well at all, having a rubber body and putting a clad of fire can be pretty dangerous unless his fire body nullifies his rubber body when the Mera 2x is activated

On the whole it comes out okay, but Enies Lobby is bad, its just multiple volumes of non-stop fighting (nearly 6 months when it was coming out weekly) with powerups from nowhere that lacks in intensity, drama, or an interesting main villain.

Water 7/Enies Lobby and the whole CP9 arc ushered in a whole slew of new concepts, from the 6 styles to Luffy's first use of Gears, to all the fights with CP9 in general.

That is pretty well what I summarised: the epicness and the conclusion, unless there's backstory. Okay, fine, we get some interesting nods towards those characters' abilities, maybe some flavour about the world and the last two years and stuff, but we're getting some of that NOW as well. Maybe the suspense panning out over so many weeks makes you feel like what flavour we get here (like the designs you don't care about, like CoC clashing … ) not feel like it's worth it to you. But read the whole arc in one go, and these will just be a handful of chapters in between those bits you're anticipating the most.
And, I'm sure even if you find most of the tournament not to your taste, there are going to be parts (like maybe Luffy vs Chinjao ... ? Maybe anything actually properly involving Burgess?) which you actually DO want to see. And however dull you may be finding the new characters and the blocks playing out, I'm pretty sure that if most of the tournament was basically skipped and we just got the climactic moments, it would feel pretty hollow and half-baked.
Not to mention that the blocks we've been shown have both shown us somethign worth seeing. Bellamy-Luffy interaction? Showcasing Bartolomeo? Introducing Ricky/Kyros? The clash of Conqueror Haki? On the other hand, A block was literally just Burgess vs fodder and it got skipped.
Maybe you'd suggest that in C block, it should have just been kept to Chinjao. But, at the very least, this chapter we've just had clearly served to, hmm, hype that fight? Or maybe I should say hype Chinjao?
I'm rambling, but basically, as I see it, this tournament is pretty crucial to this arc, not just because it's Doflamingo's trap and Luffy's in it and maybe it'll get interrupted and go crazy, but also because it's setting things up, showing us things and introducing people ready for the rest of the arc. And some of these thigns it would just be ridiculous to pull out of nowhere.
Yes of course there will plot elements relevant in the tournament, I doubt people see it otherwise. My problem wasn't at tournaments in general, I grew loving the Dragon Ball series.. and if you like that series, it's a little difficult to not be a fan of tournaments. My issue as I said before is in execution and how Oda created the tournament. In football (soccer) terms, the best example would of a goalkeeper being caught in no man's land, not right in front of the striker to not give him time or not all the way in the back in case he chips it. So if you can understand my terrible analogy, this is how I feel Oda has handled it. I would have much preferred if he wanted us to care about the characters excluding Rebecca, Chinjao, Barto & Cavendish, that he handled the situation better. He could have given them more screen time to explore the characters, which would have meant tournaments would have been longer. Another option, they could have gotten a brief intro and then out the way they go. Another option which could have worked with what he did, is have them the way he has but also include one of the 8 stories for about 4-6 pages each chapter. If the arc is going to take a while, switch between two storylines so something is always happening. Obviously, I'm in the minority here.
Part of my initial worry was based on guesses. If we are to see these types of fights for example which I'm not exactly jumping with joy over, and the Law vs Doflamingo vs Fujitora fight along with potential future fights of winners A, B, C, D vs DD crew all get interrupted, that for me is a massive disappointment. Regardless, I am interested to see how it unfolds.
And to answer your question, yes I am definitely excited to see Luffy vs Chinjao. I'd imagine like most this is where Luffy's identity will be revealed.

Even Krieg and Kuro were more interesting.
Lucci's biggest problem was he had like zero motive at all, he wanted to kill people legally and seemed like a fight junkie.
Kuro had a big crazy plan in order to try and settle down peacefully.
Kreig was a clueless pirate who wanted to try every shortcut he could to the Pirate King.
Arlong was a racial supremacist looking to conquer East Blue.
Ener's motives are still possibly future relevant, he wanted to find and pick out worthy people to come with him to a distant paradise.
And Lucci wanted blood. Whoopee.

Parts were, the flag shooting scene was great. And the first couple of chapters of the attack on the island were cool. But mostly it was cool in concept and not so well executed. I still find the Buster Call a bit underwhelming.

I just finished rereading Enies Lobby volume to volume (for the second time) and nothing about my opinion changed, guy who thinks current Naruto is good.
I agree when it comes to Lucci, probably the least interesting arc villain so far. His only real motive and purpose was to prevent luffy from saving Robin, And his fighting style was uninteresting. I always thought people in general think (non mythical) Zoan users are pretty dull to watch?

See? Here again, the pros you bring up are nothing but combat. At what point does it being a story, even though an action story, lose such importance that "but it had cool fighting styles" is a defense against it being bland?

He doesn't measure a bean against almost everyone who came before him. Excepting maybe Wapol.
Even Krieg and Kuro were more interesting.
Lucci's biggest problem was he had like zero motive at all, he wanted to kill people legally and seemed like a fight junkie.
Kuro had a big crazy plan in order to try and settle down peacefully.
Kreig was a clueless pirate who wanted to try every shortcut he could to the Pirate King.
Arlong was a racial supremacist looking to conquer East Blue.
Ener's motives are still possibly future relevant, he wanted to find and pick out worthy people to come with him to a distant paradise.And Lucci wanted blood. Whoopee.
Parts were, the flag shooting scene was great. And the first couple of chapters of the attack on the island were cool. But mostly it was cool in concept and not so well executed. I still find the Buster Call a bit underwhelming.
It's almost like Robby was saying that the power-ups were poorly done, not that power ups are bad.
Because people were fighting cool...
