Just leaving this here for reference.
And for those who don't know I leave the definition of the word FELCH.
Considering how so many Bleach fans continue to suck up the bland white product Kubo pumps into WSJ every week, I find the current title to be perfectly apropos.
And holy shit that guy's now behind me.
So, now that I've actually read the new chapter…
Riruka was nearby or coming back conveniently when Chad blew up the wall of their hideout, and speaking of which, Kubo traced his back-attack pose for Chad's frontal attack.
And apparently in Felch, people aren't supposed to hear you when you're a few feet away... Way to keep the unneeded secret there Chad.
Watch, Ginjou's sword can "block anything"...
And we already knew from last chapter, but Ichigo's Fullbring being exactly what his shinigami powers were is laaaaaaaammmmeee...
And we're back to the original Fullbring explanation. Anyone want to make a counter for how many times this changes?
On the plus side, things are kind of moving since it's an action chapter and the pacing isn't as terrible in those usually.
I like the fact that Ichigo's Fullbring shows how Kubo is lazy (all black!!!!!)
This manga sucks

Hey, thanks. Some of the older threads were hiliarous to read.
So….new thread. Great title btw.
Ohhh, a 5th thread. Glad I could make it.
To the world of nothingness–Oh...it's Bleach's backgrounds.
I didn't care for this chapter at all. The chapter a few weeks ago featuring Isshin and Urahara being shady was much more interesting to me than the "action" of this chapter. I've heard people justify the lack of backgrounds in Bleach by saying that it is to draw focus to the characters, but I find that all that white distracts me from the characters. THIS is not good action. It just looks like splattered ink to me.

That explanation is sadly what Kubo kind of used in his "the white space is air" explanation. But everyone around here knows that's bullshit.
Edit: And I'm too pissed that Ichigo hadn't discussed things with his dad like they had mentioned before Aizen's defeat to call that secretive Urahara/Isshin bullshit chapter better.
Y'know, when you compare One Piece to Bleach by Only Their Most Recent Volume Covers, it says a lot about each individual series before you even turn the first page. Seriously.
One Piece:
Bleach:
It speaks….well, Volumes.
I wonder if Kubo is shocked that people think Bleach is really deep, or if he thinks that too.

Where have I seen THAT before?

if anything, at least it further increases my respect and admiration of oda.
i wonder how much longer bleach will run for… surely this arc can only go so many places.
Why hello there loyal fans! Tite Kubo here, ready to answer your questions!
Whee, a new thread! Ah~ I love the smell of….. nothingness.
About the new chapter...
lolol great job Chad for keeping that secret so well.
I'd rather see Aizen give long, pointless monologues while being strapped to a chair than this craptastic villain Tsukushima. At least Aizen is easy to make fun of, and really, what other reason would anyone have for reading bleach if not to laugh at its horribleness?

Not only do I agree with this statement, but damn…..Volume 62 looks amazing!
As for Bleach's volume....eh.
edit: Q: Kubo-sensei, how do you feel that Toriko took over your series' spot in the Top 3 Shonen?
I've been looking over the first Bleach thread just now. May I offer some tidbits of what they had to say at the start of the first thread?
Magi: "It's so fantastic. By far the best new show of the season in my opinion"
Rasengan Zero: "Anyways, yes, my second favourite manga series (only second to 20th Century Boys). Good stuff.
e1n: "bleach is definitely my second fav, after one piece."
Himizujin_Eternia: "When watching Shonen Jump series, I somehow always end up watching the Anime first. Sometimes they take a while to hook me, however. Naruto took 8 episodes, and One Piece took 24.
Bleach is the only one since Rurouni Kenshin that hooked me after one episode."
Heh, it feels like looking up hieroglyphs of a civilization that doesn't know the world is about to be destroyed from under them.
I vow to usurp Cyan's throne as Mocker in Chief
I'll catch up to you one day!!
See Ichigo? That's what we call having a dream and not being a lump of a character

It speaks….well, Volumes.
Y'know this has always bugged me, even when I considered Bleach good waaaaaay back when. Bleach's volumes have always been terrible.
First, white is the least striking color there is. If you're trying to sell your product in a store, you want the cover to jump out at the customer. You want the cover to be colorful. White is the very last color to do this.
Secondly, color choice aside, it's just lazy to have a random character striking a pose in plan white space. It's boring, not interesting, and again, does not entice the reader to buy it. One Piece, Toriko after the second volume, and even Naruto at least have covers that make you want to know what's inside.
Though it may not matter as much in it's home country where Jump is crazy popular and the volumes will still likely sell due to the ridiculous exposure it receives already.
I almost expect Kubo to wear a crown at times, instead of those sunglasses, and proclaim himself king of manga.

Durr. White is the color of The Heart.
Or the air. I forget.

Ah, so that's what his assistants are for.

@Cyan:
A: What is this "FMA" you speak of?
You know, that series that does uncool things like have themes and character development.

Usualy, the volumes are pretty bussy things and the Kanzenban go this route, of a character in a tranquil, or bland background. As they are done without rush and after the end, that character represents the most the spirit of that volume, and the artwork is suberb. Even the shaman King covers are beautiful.
The volumes are created to stand out, the kanzenban are created to join in one work and be a beacon when they are together.
Bleach well.. it's hard to be this bland.
It's terribly sad how much we liked early naruto and bleach.. I hope that Toriko and Beelzebub don't go that way.

Same here. And add Bakuman to that list too. Bakuman's already been a bit shaky lately.

Bakuman has been.. on shaky ground recently.
2 arcs with weak conclusions
Lame main characters
Strong women tosed to the side
Hiramaru stealing the spotlight
Those were the alerts that started to ring with Naruto and Bleach.
I fear that Bakuman is already.. "Corrupted"
Glad I stopped reading Bakuman a while back then. Nakai disgusted me too much. I do love Hiramaru though.

Hey what happened to all the awesome Q&A posts
It's not bad yet, but if it was a boat, I'd say that it's floating kind of low right now.
Ok, new chapter. So, if this guy can cut ANYTHING, why didn't he cut Ichigo's sword, when he was blocking his attack? Or when he attacked Ichigo, why didn't he just cut him all the way down?
Also, I fucking hate Chad now. So, now the only guy left to fuck up by Kubo is Kenpachi, and he's not really THAT awesome, just some normal dirt in a pile of shit which is Felch….
Not for nothing… but Kubo was REAL close to ruining Kenpachi with that whole 2 handed stance = KENDO = POWAH!!! thing.
REALLY close.

I'm gonna have to agree, even if I didn't mind Kendo.
Ideally, Kubo will just forget about Kenpachi so that he might retain what little appeal he has left and not be dragged any further into the nonsensical mess that is Bleach.
I'm gonna have to agree, even if I didn't mind Kendo.
Personally I didn't MIND it… but like you gotta admit, that was a LAME powerup for such an awesome sauce character.
Imagine if Rock Lee one day was like... "OH imma use my legs to block too... HUR DUR POWERUP!"
(be advised I'm well aware Rock Lee already has used his legs to block attacks... it's merely an example in how Kubo's kind of a retard when it comes to writing)
Personally I didn't MIND it… but like you gotta admit, that was a LAME powerup for such an awesome sauce character.
Exactly.
Also, I agree with Dervish.
Terrible chapter. Not surprising that Ichigo's fullbring is spilled ink.
Characters I still like:
Neliel
Urahara
Yoruichi
Mayuri
Gin
This manga arc is still pretty shitty, but it's better than most of the Arrancar arc IMO. At the very least things are moving a tad bit faster now, albeit all over the place. I'm really just waiting to see where the hell things are going in this arc…
In my eyes, I am more interested in the latest anime filler arc, where it seems every single character will get some depth and the fights will be interesting. Not to mention Kon is actually a main part of the cast.
Oh, gracious. And we're still going.
Bleach is forever!
(Then again, judging from Ichigo's placement in that Shonen Jump cover… I'd wager to say the End is Near.)
!
Nice thread name people now to the chapter…...really Kubo really?!?! So I just full-brought the bullshit from this chapter by reading it.
Character A get's saved by Character Z2234551 a classic kubo cliffhanger.
I want my mysterious foot cliff hangers back.
Why are they even fighting? We understood Aizen's motivation (POWARR), what exactly does this Tsukishima want.

If I had to guess…
Also, Bleach Thread V. You think Kubo can go for 10 more years?
Hellno.
First, white is the least striking color there is. If you're trying to sell your product in a store, you want the cover to jump out at the customer. You want the cover to be colorful. White is the very last color to do this.
Actually, stark white pops out incredibly well, especially if its next to a bunch of colorful images.
Go to a comic book store sometime, if one comic has a bright mostly white cover, it'll pop out way better than anything else.
Red, white and black in combination is THE most striking three color combination there is, as well. Particularly with text.
Bam!
It occurs to me. Wouldn't this thread title work better if it were "Felch Discussion 0 (Who said Felch discussion went from 1 to 5?)"

Yes.
