All Blackbeard wanted was One Piece.
Blackbeard will be declared the coolest guy.

"…Luffy, he killed Shanks."
"But all he wanted was One Piece...he was just like me."
"You killed Shanks and started a war, too?"
Hahaha, don't be silly. The One Piece fandom has plenty of just as crazy, if not crazier, shippers. They don't care what Oda says. They want to ship so by God they'll ship!
At least Oda doesn't help add fuel to the fire and try to tease it for most of the manga.
In the end he too will create some pairings…you don't expect in the epilogue all of them will be single,do you? After all the adventures end bliss of home is very much possible conclusion.
Luffy x Meat is OTP.
Luffy will become a diplomat
Zoro will become the first swordsman on Mars
And Sanji will settle down with Nami, having the learned the value of monogomy
…....
Okay, sorry, I know that last one is a real stretch...........:ninja:
It's not likely. There won't be any romance or pairings.
Zoro and Luffy are asexual.
Sanji can't get a woman and probably wouldn't be able to settle down with one.
Robin and Nami don't seem to care.
Chopper isn't interested mating with any random female deer.
Usopp might have Kaya so there's one.
Brook isn't going to date anyone.
Franky isn't going to date anyone.
I doubt that would randomly change.
Yeah it's not like Gold Roger the world's most famous pirate sired a son before his death or anything
Remember how everyone swore up and down about Luffy being Roger's son and then how Oda swerved everyone twice.
@Cyan:
lol if you think oda's going to pull a digimon epilogue on us
Show everybody grown up, married with kids, and then revealing the first two seasons were a show within a show that never happened.
Or is this a reference from some other season of Digimon I've never seen.

No it's not. It's really not. I wish people would stop saying things like that, when there's plenty of other series that have done far worse.
And he planned it plenty ahead, it'd been a regular thing for most of the series. He just thought Sasuke's "redemption" would come off better for the readers than it actually has.
The Sakura and Sasuke dialogue exchanges in Part 2 where almost the same thing every goddamn time though.
Worser than say Bulma & Vegeta.
I mean yeah we got a cool character out of the deal in Trunks but…...I don't know.
Bulma and Vegeta actually made sense though: Bulma and Yamcha broke up, so she was lonely, and Vegeta had no where else to stay, and he was lonely as well.
She pretty much forced him to move in with her, and don't forget the moments in the Android saga where you could tell there was a thing between them
Show everybody grown up, married with kids, and then revealing the first two seasons were a show within a show that never happened.
Or is this a reference from some other season of Digimon I've never seen.
…I will do something drastic if that happens. But that may have happened with Naruto.
Though, random question guys: while I'm glad that some of the Naruto fans are checking out OP, but am I the only one who hisses at the thought of.that? I can't help but feel over protective for some reason :/
Yeah it's not like Gold Roger the world's most famous pirate sired a son before his death or anything
What does that have to do with anything. Roger and Luffy are two different people.
Oda blatantly stated that Luffy was asexual and that there will be no kind of romance. Why is this difficult to grasp?
Remember how everyone swore up and down about Luffy being Roger's son and then how Oda swerved everyone twice.
How would this even be possible and what would this even be based on?
There wasn't a single connection being made between Roger and Luffy in the beginning of the series.
There wasn't a single connection being made between Roger and Luffy in the beginning of the series.
What is this nonsense. Did you seriously miss all the parallels between Roger and Luffy?
Oh thank you for that link. The Major's speech there is one reason why I liked Hellsing - it had crazy ass protagonists and equally crazy ass antagonists, no silly "well I'm sort of crazy and want to destroy the world but some teenager will be ablet o talk me out of it and the world will be okay!"
Hellsing did not try to make the enemy understandable, in fact seemed to do the opposite of making them as evil possible.
Of course we are joking of the idea of Tenten becoming a villain, but hey if Naruto manga can have all these idiots as villians and have silly spin-offs, I want to see a spin-off title having a good gal gone very, very bad.
sigh even if its fanfiction, I'd love to see a story of Tenten going psycho and being an arms dealer… be more interesting to me than emosake.. I mean Sasuke
Shipping never changes no matter what fandom you go to. You'll always find some insane pairings that could only have been spawned from the Twilight Zone, or worse. As long as a character exists, s/he can be shipped with anyone. Or anyTHING for that matter.
hey, hey! Don't insult Hitchcock! Twilight Zone was some freaky stuff but it had some stuff (often deep hidden psychology/sociology issues/events) to it that supports the episode.
You are thinking of the creepy weird stuff that's from Tales from the Crypt!
Stuffy so bizzare they are just there for entertainment and no real support for the pairing

Its okay to say you like a crack! Pairing. The difference in having a crack!pairing and that gal is reality. Those that have a crack pairing know two certain characters are not actually together and do not try to say its a real pairing.
What does that have to do with anything.
Point was just because Oda hasn't been pushing romance in this series it's kind of farsighted to assume none of the characters in this series will wind up falling in love and settling down after the adventure ends.
Show everybody grown up, married with kids, and then revealing the first two seasons were a show within a show that never happened.

Wait, that happen? That sound dumb. I never gone beyond the first season so I didn't know that.

I don't remember well about it, but I'm almost certain that such a thing never happened! Unless he is talking of the Digimon season 5: Digimon Savers/Data Squad. That one I didn't see any of it.
Is funny how I came to the Naruto thread and it seemed like I was in One Piece one. About Pairings in One Piece obviously the best one that I see till now is:

Was actually referring to Tamers and upon further reviewing (years since I watched it afterall), I may have misinterpreted/misremembered certain things.

But uh, yeah, this thread feels like the OP couples thread lol. LuffyxMeat is the real pairing though!!
What is this nonsense. Did you seriously miss all the parallels between Roger and Luffy?
No. There weren't any parallels since no one knew a thing about Roger then,
The first time I even recall anything was that small tidbit with him smiling in Loguetown, where Luffy's actual father appeared, and that was a D. thing in general.
Point was just because Oda hasn't been pushing romance in this series it's kind of farsighted to assume none of the characters in this series will wind up falling in love and settling down after the adventure ends.
I'm not completely denying the possibility. It just extremely unlikely.
Not a single character besides Sanji has shown any kind of interest of being with anyone.
From what's been stated and shown, there won't be any couples who weren't already together so lets deal with it and move on with our lives.
Zoro and Luffy are asexual.
I really don't think so. Did you see Luffy's reaction when the Amazon Lily people gave him a flowery shirt?
What the hell man…
What does that have to do with anything. Roger and Luffy are two different people.
Oda blatantly stated that Luffy was asexual and that there will be no kind of romance. Why is this difficult to grasp?
But, so was Goku…
There must be something very wrong with Naruto's fangirls .

What does that have to do with sexuality?
@LinkG07:
But, so was Goku…
Goku isn't asexual. He was just ignorant and naive at the beginning of Dragon ball. He didn't understand the concept of love.
Oh, I misread that, I thought you meant Luffy was genderless or something like that.
Luffy isn't asexual. He was just ignorant and naive at the beginning of One Piece. He didn't understand the concept of love.
(Hmm, doesn't really sound so off…)
And Goku still doesn't understand the concept of love. The love for fighting, perhaps.

After the shit that's been pulled in many-o-manga, I'm very surprised you're so adamant on this.
I think it's sweet that Oda and Kishi are pals and even sweeter that they made tributes to each other in the latest chapters. The nod that Kishi made by putting the Strawhats jolly roger on Naruto's monument is very touching. The man couldn't have been more direct in his recognition of One Piece and its impact on the Japanese manga market and culture as well as it's growing status worldwide. The dream that Naruto has been longing for and has just achieved after 700 chapters is now a representation of another dream. A halfway point leading all the readers of the just finished series to another series. One that's arguably greater in the scope of its own world and the dreams of its characters. One might say, Naruto's stone face above Konoha is a beacon, a metaphorical lighthouse, a poneglyph guiding the readers from one series to another. Simply, Kishi is saying go read One Piece if you are not doing so already as it's the manga that rivals mine from the author that rivals me. Of course, them being friends made it possible as I don't think the editors and management of Shueisha can force such a thing especially regarding the two very established rivals. Oda's author comment in the latest issue of the magazine is another clue to the nature of the relationship, mutual respect and rivalry between these two. For these reasons, I think we the whole One Piece fandom should respect this great relationship between the two men who have been arguably the two most important men in the Japanese manga scene in the last decade. Naruto fans too, recognizing the previously mentioned, will come knocking at our doors, our great gates of justice, some looking for the literary justice they couldn't find at the end of the once great but thinly stretched and rashly concluded that is Naruto. While another portion of these hungry fans will want more of the awesomeness and "epicness" that Japan has been feeding us all over the world. Welcoming these fans, new or recurring alike, who recognize One Piece as the spiritual successor to their once favorite manga will fall upon us who have already seen the shinning wonderful light of One Piece. Even those other fans that might cling to other works from the likes of Bleach, Fairy Tail, Attack on Titan and other "Masterpieces" will hopefully soon recognize that while these mangas are successful at least by virtue of their standing, surviving the harsh environment associated with the magazines and their editorial departments, and their continuous sales in the face of the declining manga market, while that's true they are still a notch below the level of Oda's One Piece, the Rival to Naruto, the eastern cornerstone and answer to Naruto's success and appeal in the west, the two demographics emerging solution, the Representative of Japanese comics to the world. Kishimoto, Thank you man for all the years of greatness. Oda, The Flagship is all yours, you better believe it. Bon Voyage man, Bon Voyage.

Uhh…what does Hitchcock have to do with The Twilight Zone?
After the shit that's been pulled in many-o-manga, I'm very surprised you're so adamant on this.
Adamant on what exactly? I'm simply reiterating what's already been laid out by the author. Something that shippers desperately try to deny for whatever reason.
Count how many characters are in the series and tell me how many are single.
The majority of them are and have been (from what we've seen) for a long time.
@EA575:
(Hmm, doesn't really sound so off…)

Just because the manga didn't focus on it, doesn't mean that it wasn't there.

Oh God that was a terrible ending.
Not even Myotismon deserved that.

My bad, I was thinking of some of the intros to Twilight Zone and also thought of Htichcock and some of the intros he did (its his voice! I remember) at same time and meshed the two into one
U
Did I miss this part (was it stated?) or is it symbolism i didn't get?
You misread my post. That's how I interpreted the situation and will continue to interpret it, even if the movie or supplemental materials later say that Lee and Tenten aren't a couple and that Lee married some random villager (or picked up a random kid and is doing what Guy did).
Just read the final chapter, fell quite far behind around 30-40 chapters. Just got so bored of the Madara/Obito fight which later turned into /Kaguya.
Kaguya was odd, barely consider her in actual character in the series but the fight was actually far more entertaining than the Madara/Obito stuff. Prehaps because Kisihi got rid of all the extra clutter and finally stopped the power up cycle.
Anyway the finale was quite enjoyable.
Not sure if anyone noticed yet, but the tribute Oda made has another message that my wife pointed out. Read the first letters of each of the shop signs left to right:

I never thought there would be so many people getting so worked up about something so stupid.
While some of those are funny, others are so delusional that it´s scary. Some of those people need help.

It was posted some pages ago, but thanks for putting it here anyway for anyone that may have missed it the first time.
I'm curious what Kishimoto will do now. I'm pretty sure anything he writes will sell, but having your greatest achievement forever hanging over your shoulder can be a gift and a curse. Still, even if he never wrote anything else he would still be great. Naruto was pretty much the only series since Dragonball Z to entertain such a mainstream role in a medium that is generally a niche item, and there probably won't be anything to replace it for at least a few years. Now it can go and rest with the other cultural monoliths of the 2000s. Its been a fun and entertaining ride, but as with Harry Potter, even the greatest series have to eventually end.

Ooooh. Actually now that I see it. I guess that's why that other person's face was blocked. Naruto having a last meal with Luffy is kinda nice. I found the cover odd at a glance. Now it makes sense.

700 chapters later, naruto had sex! Two times! With neji's sister! But he's death, so he can't complain! Oh wait! It's a trio! Demon fox+hina+naruto! Let's start a hentai chapter with kyuubi as a voyeur! And then, sasuke "i fuck you but i leave you with the child britch" too macho, frucking sakura's mind until the end! Wait a second, this is a big orgy! Everyone has a baby! They don't have shinobi condoms? Naruto can't even create a clone to be with his son, what a dad… And where are all the bad guys? Orochimaru and kabuto? Another baby? Orochibuto?
