sniffff snifffff sniffff ************* So long Naruto.

I'm no haiku expert, but Naruto deserves at least a sendoff attempt:
"Just like the Armadillo Shlong
is showing when it's looking to the sky,
Obito was the coolest guy"–---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It would've been cool (though of course it wasn't the place nor the manga for it) to see the bigger governments (the Daimyos?) of the Narutoverse actually wonder if they should keep spending tons and tons of money to maintain the really costly military villages now that world peace seems to be a fact, and seems to have been kept at least for a decade.
Cause I don't see this village (or the others) being self-sufficient, considering their only main occupation is ninja activities. I guess ramen guy will keep on going, or the Yamanakas selling flowers, and I guess Kiba's family own a pet shop. . .but obviously the village's main raison d'etre is as a ninja factory, so I guess there must be some public money from the Fire Country spent on there, just like any other country in real life.
(Taiyo Matsumoto did something similar with the Peacekeeping Corps in the manga Number 5. Go read it. It's good for your health.)

Oh. That was… weird. The randomness wasn't that irky, it was actually funny, although most of the kids have bad designs. Really bad. Chocho and Salada (lol) seem to be the only saving graces design-wise.
On the other hand, I've always hated SasuSaku. Always. The worst thing was that I've also been sure all the time that they would hook up, and they did. At least I was mentally prepared.
Tenten's end wasn't so bad. Think about it, at least she is a businesswoman, albeit an unsuccesful one. It's definitely better than being the most hardcore female ninja in her teens, Temari, and then moving permanently in the kitchen. Oh, and Sakura, a medic, a person who should have a very high rank in society and receive a lot of respect... has also moved in the kitchen. Yay.
It's kind of sad that among all the random pairings, LeeTen doesn't have its place. They made some sort of sense... But that could just be my having translated Springtime of Youth into the original story (that spin-off is everything good in the world).
All in all, this ending is better than the biggest part of the war. It would have sucked had the series kept the quality it had back during Part I, but now it feels decent.

Since ninja world is in peace they passed the mettle on new generation..Sakura wears apron over her usual dress..going by the databook IV Ino too went on improving her skill..

True, but it doesn't stop her from being a medic. Even during times of peace people get hurt or ill. I didn't know about Ino. I actually don't know much about the fourth databook, but thanks for the info.
And I could still see Temari doing something else. Anything other than being a housewife.

Full of databook IV is yet to be translated…but it seems Sakura still works in medic capacity...judging by the scenario she has to be as Sasuke is a wanderer and doesn't earn anything..but again he has the stake of full Uchiha fortune perhaps hidden in the cat city...:ninja:
-
will the children spin-off be written and/or drawn by kishimoto?
-
-
I would read a spinoff about Asuma's girl.
!
Or at least give it a try. Would be interesting to see the new ninja generation growing up in that modern world, with the Hogake eating Ramen and watching porn all day.
-
!
The end of an era I guess
-
Who's that? .
-
Izuku Midoriya, the hero of a new manga in jump called boku no hero academia. its pretty good and has been doing pretty well.
-
Looks like the main character of boku no hero academia
-
That's Goku, I believe.
-
Uh, i'll give it a try.
Also can someone edit that image and add a : "Young Ichigo fell off a cliff and nothing was the same with him afterwards?"
-
What? That's Ichigo. I know he's easily forgotten, but come on.
-
The end of an era I guess
Isn't it a bit early to calll BnHA the new Naruto? From what I see Haikyuu! and Souma are more likely to be the winners of the new ear. The old era of the "spam nuke moves" battle shounen is ending and a new one will begin with them. After Naruto, Bleach will follow sooner or later, maybe in a year, maybe later, hopefully earlier. OP can continue for quite some more time because outta those three it can provide a better story and world than the other two combinded.

Boku no Hero Academia is selling like crazy right now. If it's about rather it can step up to the plate, then it's definitely capable of doing so. It might be early, but it's a very good read right now. How about going with the flow?
Haikyuu and Souma are good, they both have done well with their concepts, but Boku no Hero Academia looks like it's going to be vast in comparison.

Naruto should weigh 400 pounds and be clinically depressed to make that comic accurate. With Luffy saying something about the kid not turning out like him.
Also a comment about Bleach being an even greater piece of shit should be included given the picture at the bottom. -

6 chapters out?
I'll give it a try in a couple of years then.

I've read all dem chapters, even the raw, and I find the manga to be very good and interesting. But I still find it too early to give it the "become the next Naruto"-reward….if we can speak of a "reward" if we look at the past years of what have become of Naruto. Maybe it would be better off without that "reward". <.<

Which reminds me is that doomshroom paraody manga out yet from Naruto'S last two chapters? :D

18 out, 6 translated. You might wanna give it a try in a couple months not years. It seems to do damn well in rankings and sales so far, so yeah, there are chances that it could become the next big hit of Jump. Still crossing my fingers though that some Naruto fans will now give WT a chance to see how its invasion arc is like and come to like the team fights with smarts, cunning and correct use of your abilities while reading your opponents abilities. Or they will dislike because it has no "spam-nukes-jutsu". XD

Thing is, I like to read as many as I can in one go. I stopped reading Seven Dedly Sins on chapter 5 when it had 30 chapters out and continued when I saw it had 100.
WT is an exception because sometimes I try to read a couple of chapters of a story, then read like 20 before I realize what the hell happened. And yeah, it's a shame Naruto gradually dropped the group tactics part of the fights more and more through part 2. Hopefully WT doesn't fall into the same trap.

Nobody would give a crap about the fights in WT if they weren't invested in the characters which is what i and many other readers of WT find to be one of it's biggest flaws .

What is WT?…....................
World Trigger - A Sci-fi action manga.
Slow start but gets fast-paced later on. Imagine a mix of Naruto's part 1 teamfights, Bleach Invaders from another dimension and a vast world like One Piece (if we ever get to that, so far WT's main charas haven't entered the "grand line" yet, well expect Yuuma who's a mercenary from the neighbor worlds, but he's a special case).
It is bascially about humans using alien technology to protect their world against "neighors" which are alien machines and humanoids from other worlds in the "Neighborhood", Border is the organisation which gathers humans under his Order to form an army of "agents" to fight off said Neigbors and holds expeditions into the neighborhood as well. Agents needs "Trion" (basically the chakra) which every human got so basically every human CAN use alien technology called "triggers" as they get activated by their trion. Their trion is also teh reason neighbors attack their world as they kill human for their trion or kidnap them.
The first 15 chapters are pretty slow, afterwards it gets better and currently it is in its first "big arc" where the city gets invaded by a large force of a neighbor militaric superpower. That arc is in my opinion really done well, though it biggest flaw, or risk, is that it introduces a lot of characters you can hardly remember the names of as they get thrown and "killed off" in battles.^^
Right now it got 82 chapters from which 65 are translated.Thing is, I like to read as many as I can in one go.
I'm just glad that WT got that many translations the past days. I heard from the translator group that they intend to get till chapter 80 till the end of this month, so we might get more updates soonish.
Yeah, I missed those tactical fight as well, they felt so Ninja. I liked it when sasuke and naruto had to work together to beat an enemy and combine their different jutus to get the better of their enemy, as a child it was cool to watch such fights. And even when it was 1-1 it could still be very impressively done in "tactic smarts" as Shikamaru has shown with his shadow traveling underground to "beat his enemy" by then giving up. And then he still got chosen for a promotion despite him not wanting it because it means too much work. XDI'm hoping WT won't lose that tactical aspect of theirs and given that the whole militaric aspect and team aspect plays an even bigger part in WT as you raise and fell in rank as a team and cannot upgrade solo like in Naruto, I don't think WT will lose that aspect anytime soon.
@Doffy.:
Nobody would give a crap about the fights in WT if they weren't invested in the characters which is what i and many other readers of WT find to be one of it's biggest flaws .
True, a lot of charas got introduced in a way that makes it hard to enjoy their fights fully as we hardly know anything about them. Then again, I read in an interview that Ashihara was forced to start that arc much earlier than he wanted to so that he can show that he's capable of writing "battle arcs" with lots of fights in it. From what I heard he wanted to introduce many charas in another way but had to give up on that plan due the editors fearing that if WT shows not enough "action" it will lose readers.
And I for one don't find it so bad though I understand why you and other readers consider it a flaw or weakness. Many of the new guys "die" soon anyway and other new shown guys don't get shown much as they fight on other parts of the huge battlefield. And the ones who matter like Yuuma versus Viza or Osamu protecting Chika from Black Triggers are as well done as the other fights and do matter more as we have invested more in Yuuma and Osamu so far. And the japanse readers as well probably given how many votes those two got in the popularity poll.
I think with time and chapters Ashihara will be able to tell each chara's own little story he created. Like Chano who's a girl dressing as a guy for a reason of her past and who's first two apperances as to almost get instant killed and then get instant killed. XD
I saw this arc more as an introduction arc to many of the Border's defense force members and of what they can do and less about who they are. That part will probably come now, now that the invasion arc is over.Besides that, in Naruto/Bleach and even One Piece /though far lesss than in the other two) we had many fights where side charas fought against henchmen who all tehy got was a name, position their power and intothefightyougo! And fans of the series would still try to convince me that those battles were for this or that reason the most amazing one. Heck, even Kaguya got fans who told me what an amazing and well-planned twist that was that totally made the highlight of Naruto. So excuse me please if I can't see why people can enjoy fights in those mangas where we also have uninvested charas fighting battles but then say that the same thing does not work for WT. :)

I'm kinda weirded out that Jump's cover this issue is AssClass instead of Naruto when the latter is a fuckhuge title that finally ends.

@All:

I wonder how big AssClass is tho:ninja:.
I would read a spinoff about Asuma's girl.
!
Either that's a girl or a very beautiful looking boy.
-
We've been through this song and dance, but getting a full color chapter treatment is already a pretty huge deal of its own, Naruto still features prominently on the cover unlike the usual stand ins for characters getting really small real estate, and it apparently isn't often that series ending get their own cover pages on the final chapter. As a business decision, it also makes sense when they've been heavily promoting the ending for a month now, and thus they can feature another title at the same time to build more of a base for it.
-
@God:
That was a girl?
Either that's a girl or a very beautiful looking boy.
It's a girl, apparently that was even planned since 2009 according to the Naruto Wikia
"During a question and answer session held at Tokyo's Jump Fest '09, Masashi Kishimoto stated that he was thinking of making Kurenai and Asuma's child a girl. "
But even if not, for some reason he/she is the only new character I truly buy. Asuma and Kurenai had very little paneltime (and even less paneltime together), but it makes a huge difference compared to all the other "LOL love can happen!" pairings and their offspring.
Well, and there is the fact that she doesn't look like a DBZ fusion gone wrong, horribly wrong.
!
Geez… -
Yea, a series getting the cover in the issue in which it's ending is rare. For example, Dragonball's finale didn't get the cover.
-
Sai is the manga version of Edward from, "Twilight." Pale and ends up with a shallow girl with low standards. Asuma's daughter is pretty bad ass looking, though.
-
Wonder how many spinoff series are gonna be made since Naruto is over.
-
I didn't even realize that ino's kid was a boy till a little while after the fact.
-
Wait…Sai and Ino's child is male?! Well...color me pale sluggish gray (the color of surprise). :wassat:
-
@All:

It got final two chapters in a single issue..one being lead CP and final one being full color…that's a unprecedented send off...
