To be clear. The databooks can not be trusted as they're just mass produced junk for the most part. Databook green is the exception to the rule, as it's the only one with Oda's stamp of approval on it (but there are still some editor level mistakes in it).
Having said all of that, I followed everything in that databook back when it came out, and in no way, shape or form do I remember there being a claim of Sabo being dead. And if it was really in there, it would have been a big issue back when it was released.

The typical rule of thumb is that spam accounts have links in their signature that they're advertising, and those posts should just be reported. I don't really see why else anyone would bother to make one, not that my reasoning counts for much regarding other peoples' actions.

I've seen that mentioned, and sorry for bringing it up (especially if those are actual users!, and in this thread in general) I just wondered, cause there's always a bunch of new ones every week usually when the thread gets moved.

I really want to see what Oda does with this, since it would be like him to explain these things considering this is a guy who makes up door repairmen to explain how broken doors magically appeared.
Also the mental image of Luffy reacting to a cluster of mostly bald Long heads had me cracking up.

Ronse was pretty dumb, and then there was the vice-admiral who Doflamingo toyed with (and who was understandably absent from the war). Then we have Garp, who's pretty much Admiral-level. Momonga and Onigumo aren't pushovers, either.

Well, John Giant is kind of strange. On one hand, his clothes look like one of those real life admirals'. On the other hand, he likes to shout, which isn't something a sophisticated person would do every time he/she appears on-panel. But, he has like a dozen medals and I remember no one else who has any (Onigumo and Momonga has one only). He also wears an awesome hat with a giant feather.
Whereas, we have Lacroix who is like our most generic random Vice-Admiral, but bigger.
Then again, Ronse and CatGiant can be from Elbaf for all we know.
Then, we have Afro and Hippo with those cannons. So yeah. I'm very curious.

That was Onigumo. He even shot one of his men, because he questioned his orders.
Doberman was the one who told Lucci's story to his crew. And had that awful filler scene in the anime that went like: "Sir, we hit something!" "And?" "What?" "I asked you what does it matter." "I'm no sure, sir!" "It's a Buster Call you idiot, we hit absolutely EVERYTHING! Oh gosh, I'm working with idiots"
That scene can be a little tricky. It may have just been because he was ordered to do so. Destroying EL was a unique case in itself, so saving the agents and the marines was only logical. Maybe Strawberry got the job because they knew Onigumo would just screw it up.
Yes, that's what bugs me about Ronse. He wasn't that smart. He'd be fine like a Rear-Admiral. And this poses another question: do the giant VAs have haki? How awesome would it be? John Giant with haki… we need to see that.

I didn't mean it that way. :D It's just strange, especially for a giant who is supposed to have a pretty strong voice in general.
Maybe most giants are given the rank of VA because of their sheer size and strength.
They're obviously worth a LOT of human marines, so I guess their rank should reflect that.

Would fishman karate work against Brook?? Would be a funny moment when a fishmen tries to use attacks similar to Jinbe on Brook but it has no effect other then scaring Brook.
