RE: Official Manga/Anime Recomendation Thread
Ergo Proxy has "moments" but I dont think its worth to be recommended - I was dissapointed by it same as few friends that watched it.
Lately I enjoy first season of Psycho Pass, very decent show all in all. I am half way done and I would say its around 8/10 as it is now.
+1 to Pyscho Pass.
I actually liked the first season more than Ergo Proxy and Ghost in the Shell. -
RE: Official Manga/Anime Recomendation Thread
Yeah i use Kissanime all the time. Very few advertisements which also don't distract. No Pop-ups. High quality video and subs.
BTW If someone knows some serious/dark anime, i'm happy about any recommendation.
So far i think i've seen every anime recommended to me in this thread. I also started Gintama and got to episode 50 now. Awesome stuff.Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin
Shinsekai Yori
Kaiji
Shigurui
Ergo Proxy
Gungrave (if you haven't seen it, skip the first epsiode (trust me, the first episode is literally the same episode as one later on, its much better to watch from the beginning of the actual story) its a masterpiece in my opinion).

RE: Hajime no Ippo
@TLC:
Sigh, a great chapter marred by the fact it took us way too fucking long to get here.
Still worth it though right?
I mean, I'm SO glad that this series is this long. -
RE: Hajime no Ippo
Amazing chapter. I loved it.
Basically I think he's either not gonna lose again until he gets the title, or he's going to pull a Date and retire for a bit until he realizes that retirement sucks. -
RE: Hajime no Ippo
Oh lawd o'mighty jaysus! Ippo figured it out! Hallelujah!
Yeeeahhhh.
Its just like when he lost to Date. I guess he just needed another slap to the face to remember that all he needs to focus on is winning and nothing else.
I'm surprised he made the same mistake twice though. Especially after how much losing to Date messed him up. -
RE: Berserk
Reading the spoilers makes me want to go back and re-read the entire series again .
Do it.
I did it last week.
Almost as good as the first time I read the series two years ago. -

@NER:
Guys, I need some help.
I finished the first season of this and it was such an awesome experience and now I wanna go for the other parts but I have two questions:
1-what's the order after this? what should I watch?
2-is the manga better than the anime? should I read it after watching the anime like I usually do or nah?thanks in advance
I like the anime a little bit more than the manga.
Whenever the anime is done well I usually gravitate towards that more so than the manga. This anime is done extremely well, and it's what got me hooked originally.
The manga is amazing too of course. I think I read all of the chapters in three days. -
RE: Psycho-Pass
The new enforcers look awesome.
Im stoked to see Ginoza go apeshit too. -
RE: Psycho-Pass
I tried a little bit of GiTS, but it was too cold for me. There's several series like that. Ergo Proxy felt that way to me, too. It just felt boring and distant to the viewer, no matter what great things it wanted to say. Urobuchi's works have a humanity to them which I love. Especially how he "humanizes" his villains. I haven't read all the books the series referenced, but it still worked really well. I love how Makishima could potentially be a hero of another story despite the horrible things he's done. I love how Akane develops from a inexperienced and naive woman to a confident and capable inspector in her own right, and the whole series ends on a very strong thematic note about upholding the law.
Fun fact: the Yayoi episode is the only one Urobuchi didn't write, I wondered why it seemed so pointless.
Agreed.
I enjoyed both Ergo Proxy and GiTS, but I liked Pyscho Pass a bit more.
I think Makishima was an absolutely brilliant antagonist. I actually was hoping that one of the protagonists would switch sides and join him because he was such a well done character.
Any series that can get you to root for both the protagonist and antagonist simultaneously is usually a masterpiece within the pyschological genre (Death Note was another one like this for me).
