It probably does more than simply hardening the blade. Hardening is one way to use Busoshoku, but we also know that it can be used to give form to Logia users, which isn't really hardening. There's probably other things it can do, but we just don't know them yet. We know that it works, though. The Warriors from Amazon Lily had arrows with superior penetrating power because they were coated in Haki, so it stands to reason that a similar process works with swords.

To do with the arrows, doesn't it just add more 'force' to the attack so the arrows seem to be heavier etc. So maybe that is same thing behind swords, the slash without haki won't be as forceful as a slash with Haki.

Just a random thought.

Can Kizaru fly? And did pre-time skip Crocodile have any haki abilities whatsoever? If he didn't how did he survive getting decapitated by Doflamingo?

My guess is DD just didn't use Haki or possibility that he can't/couldn't use his long range abilities of his power alongside Haki.

Yeah if they aren't skilled it would be rather confusing. On a side note what percentage of the VA's that have appeared in the story actually been introduced/named.

blunt attacks dont work on luffy because he's rubber, when applied with haki it works just like a normal person would.

if haki is applied to the slash before buggy can subconsciously split himself then he will get cut.

I perceived it as Buggy would just feel the pain of the slash but still be able to use his ability to join back together, so after several slashes he would pass out or die.

was it stated who where the other 3 vice admirals along with kuzan and sakazuki who did the buster call on ohara? if not, those "mysterious 3" are definitely contenders as it was stated that a buster call is 5 VA and 10 battleships.

this would mean that they've been va's for atleast the last 20 years.

That or they retired. But Seems most logical that if they have been VA's for that long they would be pretty skilled I ASSUME​

Yeah but theres a difference between that contraction and that of a heart. Is the ice going to heat/cool in 4 different places at once? plus how will the valves inside the heart work?

Because Ice cant contract and expand like a heart needs too? It makes sense if he made her a limb because they don't need to move in the same way a heart does.

The shadows were given to zombies to bring them to life, without the shadows they were just bits and pieces of bodies, so zoro having his own shadow in luffy's body is just zoro in luffy's body.

I think he's heading towards how Luffy was given shadows, so basically making a nightmare zoro-luffy.

Exactly, I find it as a pretty dumb reason. It's like someone killing 2 people, then presumed dead. You find out he's alive, he steals from a house and is caught, but they only put him in jail for stealing. At the end of the day when you find out he is alive, why wouldn't you count the things Luffy has done beforehand?

And what he has done already is quite massive and it's pretty silly that it's only 100m raise. I can't possibly fathom what Kid and Law did to raise their bounties over 400m since they didn't hit a Celestial Dragon and burn down one of the 3 WG bases, what could they possibly do to even come close or higher than Luffy did? Since then no Admirals have been killed, so what did the other main Supernovas like Apoo, Hawkins, Kid and Law do to raise their bounties since there's little left, if it's so hard to raise that high?

They've had 2 years to raise it that high. Remember Luffy's bounty hit 400m before all other Supernova's and in a very short time compared to how long it took the others. (yes we don't know how soon in the 2 year gap they crossed the 400m etc etc. But the fact that they were obviously active in the New World and Kid was known for killing pretty much anyone its understandable how his has risen.)

I also agree with what someone said about the civilians not being hurt by Luffy. As of all Luffy's actions he hasn't once targeted civilians or tried to harm them, rather he has saved a village and saved 2 countries. Most of his actions have been only opposing the government or Marines, so they do see him as a threat but not as high of a threat to overall population as others who will kill anyone.
