@sgamer82:
Just had a thought others may have had before me: Just watch Ryuma freak out at the cutting of his little samurai ponytail.
I thought about that, too XD "Not my Ponytail! O_o" Man, Brooke, why didn't you give it a try and cut Ryuma's hair? (It might work, Dogpen also protects women even without remembering why) Well, maybe Zoro'll do this… but Ryuma also doesn't make some Undead jokes, so I don't think he has that much of Brooke's personality.
After reading the Scanlation, some new notes:
Perona apologizing to Bearsy is pure win XD (also Usopp's quote: "Don't think that anybody here can conquer me in terms of negative thoughts!")
So, Brooke's technique has a background-story... and it's a pretty nice plot that Brooke doesn't want to see the "original technique" abused. But I think this makes his defeat even more sad, the original technique lost to a fake... well, I'm still hoping that this case isn't closed yet. (I don't think Brooke'll fight Ryuma again, but I think they need at least some conversation)
Hm, Brooke said that this technique came from a special Kingdom Squad? I smell more Brooke-past here XP
Ryuma: "What should I cut of with my special Arrow Notch Slash?"
(he's such an evil bastard O____O" I can't imagine that this is part of Brooke's personality oo" Such a big difference between Master and Shadow... my dumb prediction "Ryuma isn't Brooke's shaodw" came back from it's grave XP)
Ryuma (later): "Of course starting with the Afro"
(... okay, that's even more evil >< Ryuma should be glad that it was Zoro, not Luffy who stopped him... for this evil act, Luffy would have destroyed him in an instant XD)
Franky's words when he found Brooke are quite interessting: "Hey you! Even though you've taken quite a beating you're still conscious, right!? You're still alive, right!!?"
Well, it's kinda funny that he's talking to a person and doesn't know if he's actually listening, conscious, alive, and so on, because Brooke hasn't a face. But this could be an advantage in later battles: The enemy can never be sure if Brooke's beaten or not. Brooke can play "Dead Man" [no joke included] when he's in danger and surprise the enemy with a stab in the back. (I played a blind character in a RPG once and he has nearly the same advantage, just in a lower level: His eyes were close everytime so other persons never knew if he was asleep or not)
Well, it seems I don't have to worry about Brooke's pride, it didn't take too much damage (according to his comedial reaction to Zoro's angry shout). But it's sad to see that Zoro didn't care about Brooke in the first line, it looks like he just wants the sword XD
Odz: Win as ever, what shall I say? XD
Well… last but not least, I want to say that Zoro's "SHUT THE HELL UP!" was funny, but it ruined the serious situation a little bit.
