! The mole's gotta be Artemis. If you look up Sportsmaster you'll find that he has a villainous daughter, Artemis Crock, who is really obscure. The creators said that she's a really obscure character, and they've already alluded to her possibly being evil with Cheshire. Unless it's one big red herring, which would be exciting. But my money is on Artemis

RE: Young Justice RETURSN OMG
Artemis is most likely Artemis Crock, the daughter of Sportsmaster who is also known as Tigress in the comics. And she's probably going to be the dead one.

RE: Marble Hornets
Once the new entries started I was all, "Marble Hornets has gone from scary to just interesting. Like I'm not jumping but I legit want to know what's going on."
And then 33 came out and my roommate had to come check on me because of how freaked out I was.
Glad to see a thread for it.

RE: Community
So I just started watching and I am addicted. Trying to find the first season so I can get all caught up over winter break. But started with the Halloween zombie episode and loved it.
The newest Christmas special was spectacular! Remote-control Christmas Pterodactyl and me on the floor!

RE: Lady Gaga and One Piece?
Lady Gaga should play Perona in the One Piece movie.
That'd be great, but I was thinking Sadie.

RE: Lady Gaga and One Piece?
She also references Command and Conquer, Doom, and Star Wars in the video.
The One Piece mention is mysterious because it doesn't make much sense in the context of the video (which has been analyzed by many and isn't necessarily as nonsensical as most think) That's kind of the beauty of art, that it can be taken however you want to take it.
My personal opinion is that she (and yes, she not some creative director, as she has creative control over the Haus of Gaga which oversees her entire image) might be a big nerd. It isn't completely outlandish to think that she could be one of the many One Piece fans in the world.
She makes pop culture references to everything all the time anyway.
As far as she as a musician goes, I think she's exactly what the music world needed. And while you may not find much depth to her music I certainly do; in this case Telephone being a great song about escape from stress. She's exciting and unexpected and rather than try to follow trends, she starts trends herself.
She's very One Piece if you think about it that way; not following the rules, rather making her own rules for others to follow.

RE: Western Comics thread
Sweet. I look forward to Issue 2, I like me some Jubilee.
Fellow Jubilee fan here and I must say her story in issue 2 was pretty good. Anyone who's a fan and has been waiting for her to show up somewhere in the past few years will enjoy this appearance I think. A nice reminder of what the character is up too, but also a bit sad in spots. The art was really well done as well. The only complaint I had was a really out of character Surge.

RE: The Frog Princess (2D!!)
I'm definitely paying for the DVD special edition when it comes out. Oh, did anyone spot carpet from Aladdin in the beginning of the movie and any other easter eggs?
I saw it for the second time today and in the first scene I looked at Charlotte's top shelf. It looked like the dolls there were other Disney princesses.
King Triton is one of the floats in the parade.

RE: Why do people hate James Cameron's Avaturd?
I think 3-D is just a cheap gimmick anyway. I mean, I heard it was implemented well in this movie, but still it just seems unnecessary.
Normally I agree, but this is the first movie where I actually felt that the extra money was well spent. The movie was very atmospheric, and the 3D only enhanced everything.
Going to echo what pretty much everyone in the world has said. Amazing visuals, and the 3D was more than just a gimmick for the first time ever, but the plot's been done a million times.
It's a rare situation though, for me at least, in that I was able to not care about the tired script because the movie was just so much fun to watch. Most big budgets blockbusters I could care less that the visuals look great if the script isn't great, but in this case the mediocre script didn't bother me in the least.

RE: Western Comics thread
2009 had some pretty good stuff. For me:
1. Detective Comics - Easily the best book published this year. Great writing and even better art. JH Williams, Cully Hamner, and Greg Rucka have all really knocked it out of the park on this one. Can't wait for Batwoman's own ongoing in 2010.
2. Secret Six - continues to be my favorite book every month. Gail Simone and Nicola Scott are having fun writing this book and you can tell.
3. Green Lantern Corps - everyone loves Green Lantern, and I do to, but GLC I find myself being a little bit more excited for every month. It's been very strong, and though the art can take some getting used to I've come to really enjoy the art style in the book.
4. Blackest Night - duh
5. Batman and Robin - I wasn't a fan of RIP and Final Crisis was a mess, but this book has been top notch since it's launched. Hopefully Morrison will keep it up for a long time.
6. Final Crisis Aftermath: INK - surprisingly good. Considering this book is a spin off of Final Crisis and follows a character no one really cares that much about, it's waaaaay better than it should be allowed. Really great book, and can't wait to see this creative team take over the sinking ship that is Titans.
7. Utopia crossover in the X books - I actually really enjoyed this crossover, and it helped me get back into reading the X books again.
8. The Superman books - this is the first time in…..ever, that I've actually paid close attention to what's going on in the Superman books. Everything from New Krypton through what's happening right now has been really exciting.
9. The Muppet books from BOOM! have been very good, very true to the characters and the franchise.
10. Powergirl - refreshingly fun simple story telling that isn't bogged down in angst.
