It's actually very, very easy to find fault in Trump for his comments. A divided nation needs assurance that the President-elect will condemn abuse and hate rhetoric in no uncertain terms, especially since his campaign was filled with just that.

It implies that they are not making any effort to condemn their actions and explain to the child why that behaviour is wrong. It implies that they're only doing it to save face in public, but in reality they also use those terms at home and didn't expect their child to actually put it in practice outside of the home.

The man is too air-headed and hands-off to even write his own tweets, so I wouldn't expect him to be able to string together words with any sort of gravitas when put on the spot.

They can… but I don't think they ever have. Thus far the electoral college have basically all followed the rules of the system.
If people want to contest the election based on suppression of minority voters, I respect that. I can't respect people demanding that the person who actually won the election be removed just because they disagree with him, though.

They all vote for who the people in their respective states told them to vote for.
Anyone in the world can sign a change.org petition, multiple times even. It means nothing to our government process. 4.5 million people from around the world do not and should not hold any weight against the collective will of 60,371,193 actual American voters. You can't sign this petition and then turn around and say you also believe in democracy.

Seeing the comments on Facebook about this, it seems to be a growing sentiment. Really hope this sorta thing is stomped out quick if it comes back up. Feels very 1990. I can't imagine that any goon who's way into white power needs the help of a flyer to stumble into any of the hundreds of hate sites that are online. The way i read it it's more of a send a message thing, making it seem all spooky scary, like four dudes running around posting the goofiest hate flyers you'll ever see, making it seem like it's a phenomenon on the rise. I mean it's not like a moderate passerby way just going to catch the virus from it, it's mass-printed words on text. Personally i find that it never hurts to remember that even when shit seems like it's regressing, the goal posts have already, albeit ever so little, been adjusted a little further down the road than where they started. And that even when someone is attacking these social issues they need to start their game on that newly adjusted turf. Maybe it's not the most comforting thought when one is hassled in the streets, but atleast it's something.
