Hillary's campaign has revealed that she was diagnosed with pneumonia Friday.

The last two days have been disgusting shit days, today was better, but not by a whole lot. And generally humidity and so forth sucks even worse in NYC.
Not that Sakonosolo would know about this phenomena living in such provincial hamlets as London. -
Incidentally, it's been the exact same kind of weather here and I'm already sick of every news program and paper talking about "typically weather what Americans refer to as Indian Summer."
But I think it always rain and cold on the other side of the North Sea, so.
-
Nevermind that Trump is the same age and no doubt has the exact same problems. No matter that his doctor says he is the healthiest guy of all time for sure.
Must be something wrong with him his hair can't seem to to stay the same color.
@John:
Fortunately, Trump will not use this to say she's sick because that'd sound like he was insulting the victims of 9/11.
Not that he hasn't done it before

That's not what an Indian Summer is, stupid European news providers.
When we're approaching Halloween and people are still happily wearing shorts and flip-flips, then it's an Indian Summer.

Bonus points if this fair/crazy weather last well into late november/december like it did last year:ninja:

That wasn't Indian Summer, that was just scary.

Prediction: 75 degrees on Christmas, two feet of snow the day after New Years.

Damn, then your posts in the Brexit thread were EXTRA indefensible!
Either way tell us more about the weather here today. -

Hey, we have four seasons! They're nice, hot, extra cloudy, and, uh, occasionally rainy sometimes? That last one has taken a bit of a blow lately.

I wish to live in the Southwest and enjoy the four seasons of Hot, Really Hot, Skin Cancer, and Brush Fire.

This comment hurts me so much. I used to know what a season was. I used to live in a place that was farther north, a place that wasn't a massive expanse of sand and spite for humanity. Now that I'm in this wide open prison, I want nothing more than to leave. I cry with joy whenever I so much as see a cloud. All other days, I refuse to leave the safety of my home. Do not desire this fate. Be happy and thankful, for you are not me. There is no life here. As was said before, we are not humans. We are shambling, miserable zombies. Cherish your humanity. And stay far away from here.

Yes. It turns out that, for at least a few days, Hillary Clinton has been campaigning with pneumonia.
A 68-year-old woman, with pneumonia, still kept a schedule that most of us wouldn’t make it through, flying here and there, holding multiple events and briefings a day.
That’s not weak. That’s actually strong and tough as hell.

As a Torontonian I weep for you. I visited Dallas a few weeks ago and couldn't understand how people were still alive.

People without four seasons aren't even human beings.
That's Texas for you.
Okay there's actually 4 in the NE Tx=
early summer, real summer, late summer(sometimes called Indian summer) and "its finally fall weather!" (which is during winter).–- Update From New Post Merge ---
@Cyan:
Prediction: 75 degrees on Christmas, two feet of snow the day after New Years.
For where? Location is the key there. Say, NE Texas… the 75 F is only slightly unusual, it'd be the 2 ft of snow that's the real bizarre thing. Grew up in DFW suburbs and still remember going out on xmas day wearing a summer outfit (shorts & top) with just a windbreaker no shoes. Didn't see 2 in of snow until I was 18 ... then next to no snow for a decade. It wasn't until I left that region got a foot of snow.

Don't worry, I still support good weather. SD has it baybay.

There were snow covered hills here once… once. I've never know what having actual seasons was like though.

So two new updates. First one it Trump is supposedly going to reveal the results of his Physical on Dr. Oz this week. No idea why something like this is going to be revealed on TV like this.
The other one was what we all were expecting, which is Trump assuming the debates are going to be rigged and would be better off without moderators. First of all, debates like this are going to be messy if you don't have someone to step in and make things move along. I remember last election the foreign policy debate going off track so many times that they needed to be pushed back on track many times. Second is that in the end the people will decide what they think of you over everything done (or at least that should be how it is done). Even if he feels that way he has to suck it up and just do what he can to come across the best way possible. Of course he doesn't do well under pressure, so unless it can be scripted in his favor it won't look pretty.
Also, the whole thing on Hillary calling half the voting base of Trump bigots has been interesting. Yes, that was not the best thing to do and calling out a huge chunk of that voter base wasn't the best idea. She can apologize as much as she wants but the damage has been done. The other interesting aspect is how people took this to heart and were offended by it. If she said everyone then that would be one thing, but she was saying a good amount of people voting for Trump were Bigots. If someone got offended at a statement that wasn't sent directly at them, then there is obviously something there with that person. Though seeing the comment section in these stories, neither side is doing any favors.
-
Calling half of Trump's supports racists is wrong. It's more accurate to say that most of his supporters are racists.

http://www.rollcall.com/news/politics/poll-two-thirds-trump-supporters-think-obama-muslimActual proof that Hillary spoke more or less the truth, but in today's society it's more damaging to call someone a racist than to be a racist.
-
Jesus. Yeah the more I think about it, Clinton calling out the voter base is a nontroversy at this point, or at least it should be. Really, Trump supporters are going to take anything they want to make her look bad, so pretty much at this point it's impossible to say she did damage because not like she can convince Trump supporters to change their view on her anyways. Also, thinking about it there's some nice hypocrisy going on here. These are the kind of people that continually tell people to grow thicker skin and not play the victim. Then as soon as they are called Racists they do what they tell others not to do and go on the defensive.
-
Event: Hillary calls water wet
Media response: HILLARY CLINTON REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE LARGE SWATHES OF WATER THAT ARE IN FACT NOT WET
-
Whether or not water is wet is debatable enough that the media could very well have a field month.

That's Politically Correct talk there sir! But… but Trump supporters like how he doesn't use PC! They say its ruining America and we shouldn't be afraid to "say it how it is".
But then Hilary does just that and they balk … figures, They can dish it out but can't take it.

This is disgusting.
A group of
Alt-RightWhite SupremacistsNazi Bigot Dickbags are now going to Pokemon Go Gyms to distribute extremely racist "Vote Trump" flyers. One side has the most horrible crap I've ever read accompanied by a picture of Pikachu dressed as Hitler trying to recruit to their "Cause" while the other side is a Vote Trump message that says:
@Racist Nazi Dickbag Flyer:
The race war is coming. The Jews are going to release the [n-word] on you, they’re going to burn down your cities. They’re going to rape your mother and your sister, they’re going to butcher you all.
We need to organize and we need to do it quickly.
The first step is to vote for DONALD TRUMP. You are probably too young to vote, but you need to do everything you can to support his rise as GOD EMPEROR.
Yes. They are saying they want him to be their "GOD EMPEROR"….......
This is legitimately horrifying.
-
Don't call them deplorables though.
-
Personally I'm also tied off all these people who hate Hillary amd want Bernie or Jill speaking up about her being sick. With memes and such telling her to move over. Like Bernie getting sick at his age wouldn't make him wobbly. Jill has she even moved up? I'm still seeing the same 1% in polls.
This country is mess. sigh
-
I mean politics always makes the country seem like a mess, but what legitimately bothers me this time in particular is the overwhelming fauxpinion of "everyone sucks and we're all screwed." Again that sentiment is nothing particularly new, but what's new is people getting passionately behind it just because it's the thing to do. With no real understanding of any of the issues at hand. Like I said before, this culture of outrage that has been magnified to stupid levels largely (in my opinion) due to social media culture. People are not looking for a solution really, they're just looking for reasons to be mad and blame everything on the system. Fair criticisms get lost, and so does anything else constructive.
-
Yeah, I hear you.
At 27 I can only recall 4 elections I actually paid attention to (2004 - 2016) and so far, yeah, there's always this 'both sides are just as bad rhetoric', but never has it been this bad. Nothing I can recall from personal experience at least.
-
The idiots in the media who pretend to be journalists know from 2000 that there's piles of money in the narrative that it's a really close race and both candidates are actually more alike than you'd think.

"Journalists" piss me off. There's far too many with a platform to spew their stupidity instead of the ones we actually need.
Trump is such a colossal clusterfuck.so he's a magnet for them.
I wish I could find that short video on how this is a very abnormal race.

3/4 of that sounded like the Illinois Nazis from The Blues Brothers.

This whole issue is a pile of slime.
Israel is committing a mega illegal process (as per the UN) where its allowing settlement of its citizens (in disputed/occupied territory.
Turkey has been doing this shit to North Cyprus for decades. It's a deliberate policy to unbalance demographics in disputed areas in order to influence a favorable outcome for the occupying force.
I looked around and could find no actual quote of the PA saying "Jews", what they are complaining about is directly the matter of Israeli citizens settling in the West Bank.
Netanyahu, eternal piece of crap that he is, is taking the UN standard complaint and twisting it to poison the whole discussion so entirely that it defies imagination. -
Pence refuses to call David Duke deplorable.
"We are not in the namecalling business." Trump referred to Elizabeth Warren as Pocahontas this morning.

Geezus. They'll insult everyone EXCEPT the KKK?

They know who their voter base is.
But ironically don't want their base to have certain labels attached to it. Facts and video footage be damned.

@Monkey:
People without four seasons aren't even human beings.
I take insult to that, I miss my hot season, and my hot and humid season, rather than the two ideal seasons, the one where i dont want to do anything and the one where i cant do anything. Only seasonal choice is the umbrella.
