Well I loved the chapter but I think the cliffhanger is weak, Oda usually has better cliffhangers for this breaks, then again I hate mechas so that probably my fear of a mecha coming out that is making me not as excited.

You forget Oda missed a week do to sickness, so the chapters got pushed back due to the unintentional break.This chapter we were supposed to get last week . 635 is the one that was supposed to be before the break. That one'll have the big cliffhanger. (my bet is it'll end with the Noah getting ready to smash the island.)

My comment : I think any supporter of Jinbei-for-next-nakama will LOVE this chapter.
Can't wait for soldier dock system channel 4. It's been nearly 200 chapter since it's first mentioned and finally it will come in action soon enough.

I am a fan of Jinbe joining. But unlike the 'underwater specialist' angle someone mentioned, I think he's going to be a strategist of sorts (which someone else also mentioned). Save for Gol D. Roger, many big names shown so far have had armadas at their call: Shiki, Whitebeard, Baroque Works… Krieg (ok, he was pretty weak, but he was the biggest of East Blue at the time). It is absolutely not in Luffy's nature to worry about binding masses of people to him seeing how he does just fine cherry-picking whomever he likes for his crew, but Jinbe obviously has an eye about the bigger things in life, as well as first-hand knowledge of the New World that no other Strawhat has. He was a friend/ally of Whitebeard and Ace, has built up plenty of respect for Luffy despite his antics, and obviously Fishman Island would be a target if he stayed. He stayed out of it, hiding in the forest, exactly to avoid the WGs wrath from falling onto Fishman Island.
I wouldn't be surprised if his dream is to make Luffy the Pirate King with him in Luffy's crew, if only to protect him as Ace asked and at the same time show that Fishfolk and humans can work together in the longer term. After all, Jinbe is the current day hero of the fishfolk and his example would be very beneficial.

I rly like the interaction between Jinbe and Luffy in the beginning.
How he argued against Luffy with that meat-promise is priceless and shows that he knows Luffy very well.
Also his plan how to free the rest of the crew..hehe, yeah figure out something on your own :)Megallo always getting forced to put people into his mouth..god damn he is a shark and still i feel so sad for him :)
Still the NFP getting treated like little fishs(pun!), but that Hodi talks about his plan to interrupt the meeting of the kings gets me rly exited to finally witness this important meeting.
Iam curious what Oda has planned for us and what will happen in that important meeting which is held only once in 4 years.
I think that could be the link which combines this arc with another,when we will see which person from FI will go there(Shirahoshi,Fukaboshi..who knows?)Franky announcing new weapons for Sunny is cool and iam rly looking forward to see him fight.

Only purpose for having 100.000 pirates around was to give Luffy that awesome moment in this chapter…well, i think it was worth it,hehe.
Seeing him here like Rayleigh in the auction house was something i rly looked forward to see.
Zoro and Sanjis comments about his Haki at least lets us know that they got some information about it. Sanji states that its "Haoushoku"haki, which shows that he was told about the different forms, or else he shouldnt know that its called that way.
Also that Zoro isn`t impressed by taking out 50.000 people makes it at least look like he has some expierence with it. -

I love this chapter! You just know that Luffy's only getting warmed up for what's going to happen soon.
It's nice to see Shirahoshi's color scheme at last. I like Oda's selection.

Where to start(apart from the sexy opening cover. Man Brook found a nice place to ride and Robin and Luffy looked really cute together). First how can you not love Luffy taking out 50k fodder like it was nothing. No wonder they only wanted Elite marines in the Whitebeard war.
I also loved the fact that neither Sanji nor Zorro were that surprised. I can't wait to see if they will deal with the other 50. Zorro by now probably has a huge slash ala Mihwak so he can probably take out quite a few and I am really hoping we finally get to see Sanji developing a projectile attack
Sunny's new weapons are quite intriguing as well. I bet it's something water related by what? Maybe torpedoes? Well in any cse it will have a hard time outshining Sunny's cannon
I also can't wait to see how the SH have upgraded their attacks. Not so much Usopp, Nami and Chopper(well maybe Chopper) but I really want to see what upgrades Franky has made to himself and most of all I am insanely curious to see if Robin has new and original attacks. I am really really hoping she found a way to use her ability to turn herself into a giant but I think it might be evne more interesting if she combines her DF powers with some secret techniques she learned under Dragon. Something like the rebel equivalent of CP9 maybe?

Yeah no. I am pretty sure Nico Robin has more then enough strategic experience from running a giant criminal organisation for years and you can bet your ass that during her time with the rebels she learned everything she could possibly learn about the New World. If Jinbei joins the crew and somehow I just can't see it underwater and using his ability to communicate with sea life seems to be the best bet. Or he could be in charge of the Kraken or whatver creature the Strawhats will decide to catch for their ship

I'm sweating from excitement. It's demonstration time! I feel that Luffy really matured, but stayed the same in the core. A captain who thinks how his actions result. Be it translations or he is really talking like that now doesn't really matter - I see it in his face! Chow down on these bad boys captain!
And the colorspread is magnificent.
I can't form long phrases yet, if only I could post emotions.
The only thing I can say is - Hodi is lucky. Really lucky. He will feel the level of above ground from Mugiwaras, who are medium new world at best, and not from an admiral. I'm not even talking about Akainu personal. It's incredible how shallow he is. His actions would result in total occupation or even worse, and not in the sea of human blood. He will give a nice cause for the doom of underwater dwellers. Gorosei don't fuck around. -
Just noticed that Fishman Island is as long as Marineford and somewhat longer than Impel Down now. Way to go, Oda, bringing the arcs back to their normal length. :D

I read the other one that's on mangareader.net, and it said "biriri!" ビリリ… though the second character is smaller, so I think it's suppose to be "bi-ri!" ビッリ! As in a shock from Luffy's CoC. :P

Great chapter, didn't really mind the end cutting off on Franky's new weapon, but next chapter should be good with that in it. Also, I am starting to think that this arc will have no real boss, just fodder to show how strong SHs have gotten since time skip, but I could be very wrong…

That would discard the whole Sunny turning into a mecha, though. . .But Franky said he had 2 new weapons. Maybe both weapons are Sunny related, not Franky's, soo. . .there's still hope!

To be fair, those defeated were literally nameless fodder. Not much different then the nameless Marines at Enies' Lobby or Marineford. Just as powerful as fanged bunnies.

What happened to the guy? I don't see him on the next page. It's as if he dodged the CoC and fled the scene. Well, being able to take out Sea Kings as easily as Rayleigh does shows how strong the guy is, I guess.

Oh Hodi…..never say you're going to be Pirate King when Luffy's near. Or else things won't be pretty.
Lot of things I liked this chapter.....the colorspread, Luffy's amusing meat logic, Jinbei's speech to Shirahoshi......and the icing on the cake was Luffy K.Oing half of the army with just Haki.
But I only hope not every Fishman will fall so easy. It's time for the Straw Hats to shine once more. Not just their captain.

Although i want to be believe that Zoro has COC haki i don't think his statement meant that. From what i can see he means that Luffy should be able to at least take out 50, 000 weaklings on his own or He wouldn't be qualified to their captain.(Just my take based on translation by Aohige)
