I do like Boa but I have some reasons why she won't be able to join Luffys crew.
Reason one is:
If she joins Luffys not only her sickness won't go away (and die from it) but if one of the Navy people see her they will report it to the WG and one of the admirals
will attack the Isle of women and totally destroy it.Reason two is:
now Luffys brother is dead and Crew is gone
(but soon meeting back in two years) and Boa Pisses the crew off
(accept from sanji) Luffy would be pissed at Boa.Reason three is:
while luffy and others are fighting Boa would not want to be seen by one of the Navy workers which would make her a useless character D:.
So that's my reasons why she can't join what's yours?

Well, Nyon herself said that "the decision to go with this man will save your life". Although she probably only meant this so she would go to the war and she probably hoped that the situation would have been resolved by then, Nyon herself had left the Island for quite a bit longer because of a similar situation with a man.
Why would you assume the "sickness" would go away if she stays on the island? Did the two empresses before her died because they ignored their feelings? Or because they didn't go away with the person they loved? Wouldn't Amazon Lily be in danger if Boa dies just like it would be in danger if she just gives up her title?And Boa pissing off the crew: I thought it would be pretty obvious that her attitude is more or less a mask she puts on to hide the crest and to be strong enough to lie to a whole country and even to herself. While I don't think her extreme behavior towards Luffy is her real character either, it might lie somewhere in between: a strong woman that fears opression and that wants to be free above all else, but also with a sense of duty and compassion towards others.
Well, all this will probably be resolved in the coming weeks, so let's just wait and enjoy the show :>

I think if Boa went with Strawhats, that crew probably will be crazy OP. Even putting Dark king aboard would still be OP, so boa is a no no

Self-reflection helps understand one's own faults and weaknesses, so I asked myself "Why am I so stupid?", and my answer was: "Ummm, errrr, uhhh, hurrrr, duhhh". I guess it doesn't work like that.
What makes a character a Strawhat?
Nothing in particular I guess, but they just have to be really interesting, have strong moral character, and not be perfect. I think they also must stay alive and endure endless suffering and hindrance.

i still think hachi could be an addition to the crew. yes, i know, this would give them three swordsman, but the important thing is that he won't be able to stay a waterfront vendor after the tenryuubito incident. either he is going to stay at merman island in the upcomming arc, or he's gonna join (luffy's not had a problem letting old enemies on his crew before i.e. robin)

A fishman who fights gyojin karate makes more sense. 3 Swordsmen in one crew would be too much (Zoro, Brook as a fencer AND Hachhan?).
Maybe the master of the gyojin karate dojo would join, I hope it isnt Jimbei!
Nevertheless, although I dont want Jimbei to join the SHs, I hope we get to see a Jimbei/FisherTiger-Flashback @ FI! Cause that'd be really interesting.
I'm actually drawing pics of Fisher Tiger how he could look like with the info we have of him so far (u know that silhouette when Boa talked bout him!). -
