      @Polygon:

      You do realize you can't ride on that little pony forever, don't you? Once it becomes apparent she's not on the ship you're done for. More than likely it'll become apparent she's not on the ship next chapter. Either way you don't have much time left. Unless Oda decides not to show the SH next chapter, you have until next Wednesday.

      I'm "convinced" a former boss character is to be their partner, prior to the new world… Which means, a limited number of so and so's could fit that role.

      Granted the validity of the quote, she's one of the few to accept that role.

      I'm more so convinced that there will be "two" more Strawhats to come, disappointed a little that it won't be characters that "share" the similar time frame of the journey, like the current cast, but that's nothing.

      Given that the "chances" a female character will join seem half and half, I'd think it's more likely a lady would be it.

      Considering that Perona has enough space to write anything about, and a solid character build that lets Oda use her enough to establish such events... She's the most flexible in terms of "strawhat-esque" story development.

      Aside from all the other characters in the manga, she's the ONLY character that stands a chance, up to this point, concerning a revealed character. Jinbei honestly isn't likely to join-- he's not likely at all.

      @Polygon:

      **From what I understand, since next chapter should tell us whether or not she's on the ship then next chapter is AGOG's last chance. A pretty slim chance at that.

      He's as good as banned.**

      Ten days since she's been on the island– ten days for her to disappear from the island.

      Less than ten days since Franky's been on the island-- around that time, he alone would disprove any person on the ship.

      Ten days would explain the "needed" closure concerning the ship's treasure and Perona's personal belongings. She can "AP" her belongings now, as revealed by the parasol back in the 561 or so chapter cover. She now proves it as a fact... She has a Kumacy, the one from her past, with her, which could suggest she's packed her stuff from the Sunny and left.

      Ten days would have given her the "finality" that she sought when her character woke up on Thriller Bark all to pack up the ship with her belongings. Ten days would be enough to conclude everything.

      Then again, the "treasure" was never used for anything, the act itself was meaningless, and the character herself was wasteful. Which is it? Ten days of solitary retreat, or of favorable preparing for the journey ahead. Or neither, nor!

      I'd hate to pick a "Robin" style approach, but it's probable.

      @JERK:

      Are you saying that since she might SCRETLY BE ON THE SHIP you can't be banned yet?

      Sadly, yes.

      It is possible that she'd appear there.

      Is it likely? Not at all, I'd expect her at Raftel more than TS.

    • RE: Last Two Nakamates (vol. 5)

      Hello. Hi. It is I, AGOG.

      Sorry for the shabby introduction, I've been "away" awaiting for "progress" to have occurred before I came.

      Now, the discussion can continue, concerning her…

      She's in AP form when we see her, then she's disappeared after she made a little "attack" around Grove 42. Where? I don't know, and therefore I won't bother making up specific points.

      Fact is, there is a chance she COULD appear any-freaking-where she may wish to be revealed at...

      This is her final hour, yes, at least on SA. She could appear in the future, though, if Oda wants her to. If she doesn't "end" up on the ship, somehow, she's getting a cover serial or a slight summary that depicts her "reappearance" in the future. Cover serial or "small moment" would mostly lead to her closure. Everything else will lead to her reappearing.

      So, where's Perona at?

      Fact: not with Mihawk, so to speak…

      [Hmmm… It seems the "ban" would only work if the condition was met next week, in the next chapter... Therefore, it's yet to be "at" that point.]

      @Cyborg_Franky:

      she's only shown up in a few pages but all thats focusing on is zoro i mean someone had to heal him i doubt it was gunna be mihawk or the baboons….

      i mean

      Now, why Perona? Hachi showing back should have been undeniable proof that he was going to become a nakama

      Hachi's future role was told, immediately: hey, y'all! let's go and find the coating engineer and then let's have MY guiding skills lead you to FI!!

      Perona, however, hasn't had any information told about what she is going to do or supposed to do. "Vacation?" I don't bite on that bait.

      Wouldn't it have been a lot "smarter" for Oda to just let Zoro meet up with a character that actually KNOWS what medical procedures to take? Honestly, I'd think so… Perona's no doctor, and if anything, she's nothing at all like that. What use does she have concerning this? None. Therefore, why would Oda use her in this regard?

      @Bucephalus:

      AGOG still at it, eh?

      some things never change, I guess

      So, you think that Oda isn't going to set up a hastened rush through the early portions of the NW?

      @Robo:

      I actually thought about that for a minute during my second read through. I hope we at least get to meet them.

      There's like two odd strange brutes behind Robin, before the shift is taken to Lobin.

      You could check if you like, I doubt they look similar…

      @Zik:

      Statements that have absolutely nothing supporting it.
      No.

      Alright.

      Why would Perona be used a plot device for anything when the plan is to go to the Gyojin island and then the NW? Vivi convinced the SHs shortly after meeting to help her and set up the next saga.

      Alright. I'll bite.

      Perona's history is unknown. She's just got an epitaph that claims, "Ghost Princess." Is there anything that defines where she was born or anything that claims truth? No. It's a big unknown. There is leeway room for Oda to create a plot line that connects Perona to some island in the New World… Allowing him a chance to create a pace-breaker.

      The strawhat crew will follow their logposes, naturally so. Therefore, they'll go to FI. Depending on how long he makes the logposes reset, it will stall them for a very long time. Other pirate crews obviously already are ahead of them. What would Oda have to do to have the SH crew catch up? Speed up their pace, and advancement. How? Add a situation where they have to skip islands.

      I'm only using Perona as an example because she's the only character that currently has this situation open. Other than her, you'd have to basically rely on Lola's mom's vivre card... My opinion has always been that making the connection that Perona was a member of Kaidou's crew is a great way to speed up the pace. Rather than have the SH crew chase Crocodile, they'd chase a Yonkou-- same pace, same stuff... Only thing different is Oda would have to give Perona a deliberative backstory that pieces this all together.

      If you're willing to say this with no hints or any support from the story you can say Oda could do any sort of thing with any character. Except that Perona had played her role in the TB arc and has not changed since. There's nothing hinting that she will be a plot device to initiate any arc or saga. If you had speculated that type of stuff for Vivi when she was still Ms. w/e it would be baseless then just like it is now with Perona. You're literally explaining how your thought process is basically throw shit against the wall and hope it sticks.

      It's just a thought. Not only does seem to "attempt" to answer what point Oda had with Perona's return, but it makes up the fill in the blank routine that forces the SH crew to ignore Logpose rules, in order to catch up.

      Truth is, they won't be playing "rescue the princess/ fishman" from any character in FI, now will they? No. Those characters are bound to be distinctively from their islands, just like all other native cultures end up being. Then, they shouldn't have another conflict where they'll meet some girl on the first island they pick and then a quickened race starts. I'd end up completely repetitive.

      Now, why Perona? Simply because even though her original role did expire, she returned in some kind of quasi-role for some reason… What's her new role? Unfinished, and unneeded... It's just a scam, I'd say. What for? Maybe build-up, maybe extending her towards the future, heck maybe even a small plot device. Nonetheless, there's really no point in having her appear and do the things her character had done. It's wasteful.

      He doesn't need Perona to speed up the pace to Gyojin island. We already have Jinbei and the mermaid princess.

      No No No… What I meant is to speed up the pace from [now] until the future… If you look at the logpose set time, in general, Oda has made some places take longer than a week and even one that took a year. We don't know how long Skypiea took, but it took a time as well. So, if Oda continues adding "times" to logposes, then the situation will be that every other character around the world will be waiting on the Strawhats.

      Having Jinbei and the Mermaid Princess there won't instantly allow the SH crew to just bypass everything and quicken their pace into the NW, it just keeps them on Fishman Island. MP and Jinbei aren't going to have a super chase story about the same thing as Vivi, they'll meet and part at the same island.

      The situation will still be that Luffy and crew has to rest on island A until Island C, with the same pace that the logpose tells him. Which is something that could go against Oda or help him--if he makes the times too short, then the other pirate crews lose value, but if he makes them longer, then the SH crews have to SKIP the logpose intervals in order to catch up with their rivals. Remember, the SH crew is fighting against time, not the world... They are the ones that are currently behind, not in front. They have to skip islands just to basically catch up.

      If you're talking about some upcoming saga well then you're guessing and acting as if it's a valid theory.

      Yes. I've been thinking about the bigger picture, the overall plot. Before, the other crews weren't ahead of the SH crew for two whole years… Now, they are behind the times and have to overcome that by skipping islands.

      You may offer a better solution, but I honestly think that out of all of the current characters shown, Perona is the best to work with for this sort of set up.

      @rickfox:

      such an idiot dare to written down–-You are the fellow that I want to rub it in the most that Hancock doesn't join.

      I remember your posts, they were those Pro-Hancock kinds

      someone's IQ is too low

      I'll look, later though. Don't worry, I'll check out the previous part.

      Something about your name that reminds me of Part 4, not part 5…

      IQ, that's a good one!! 😆 Good joke.

      @Megadoomer:

      He's become paranoid; you only have fifteen posts, and you clearly state that you're neutral on the subject (at the very least, you don't support any of the current candidates).

      I'm getting some vibe that his name looks awfully familiar with some fellow from "Part 4" that supported Hancock. The joining date shouldn't match up, but I get that feeling that just won't go away.

      Who knows, might be a member that just has the same username or something…

      @Megadoomer:

      I accept that, and support basically any way that Oda will take his story from here on, within reason. At least I didn't decide to bet my account on it.

      http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v340/Demescus/images-2.jpg

      Yeah, you didn't bet your account… Hmmm.

      Either way, you had issued some of those promises back in those "olden days" concerning this topic.

      @rickfox:

      how about this July 17th, 2010, 06:02 AM
      She will stay on this island bossing around the baboons and we'll never see her ever again.
