A little disappointed that WB didn't get to wreck some more havoc on Marineford, but I'm expecting BB and company to pick up that slack next chapter. fingers crossed

This is the oportunity for Dragon and his army to destroy the WG.

So how powerful do you think San Juan Wolf will be? Up till now non-zombie giants have all been quite bland with their fighting skills, clearly relying on their size and power, however, if they were scaled down to normal human size it's pretty clear that they wouldn't amount to much in terms of skill or power.

Giants have not displayed any "superhuman" abilities up till now, namely rokushiki techniques, great speed or skill, etc.

The only special abilities that we have seen so far are Dorry and Broggy's final attack, kind of like a supercharged pondo-hou, but they're regular fighting skills did not display a skill level even remotely near to Zoro's if we take scale and proportion into consideration.

Does anyone think (or hope) that San Juan will show skill or strength beyond what a normal human's strength would be if he were scaled up to that size? I'm talking about strength proportional to his body.

For instance, if he could perform Rokushiki, even at an extremely basic level, like say Nero, he would still be absolutely deadly, as you would have to scale Nero's displacement speed, strength and power like 500 times.

I'm hoping he's the first giant to showcase good fighting skills like Oars did back in TB.

I would say they would need them, but I don't think they'll be in any hurry to add anyone to replace them.

I'm still thinking they might just disband them soon enough. The ones that haven't betrayed the marines yet still have their own agendas so they can't be trusted. And the only candidates for replacements would be the supernovas and I can't see most of them wanting to take the position.

If the pacifista are finished (which I think they are not) they will have no need for Shichibukai and they will have a force that listens to the WG's every command thus being much more trustworthy. At this point the pacifista can use Kizaru's light beam and X Drake stated that he didn't expect them to have already gotten this far. I think that at one point they will be able to use Aokiji's and also Akainu's power and God knows what else. My point is that when they are finished they can perfectly replace the Shichibukai

No I think its a typical thing in OP if not in shounen in general. Giants would be too powerfull if they wouldnt be limited with their speed and so on…
And in a way it makes sense since big people are always slower than smaller ones.
Anyway dont expect Wolf to be any more than huge power small brains and "slow" movment dude

Yeah like have a mix of all the Admirals powers in one Pacifista? Pretty cool. I could see a SN becoming a Warlord, if they're still around, because it's been seen before that Warlords have been rivals to the Yonkou/ Emperors, so if Luffy, let's say, becomes a Yonkou, the other SN are already in competition to him. Remember, the other Warlords were originally young when they were asked.

Rokushiki was just an example of power/skill relative to size.

I meant more along the lines of Oars in TB, who had great fighting skills (well Luffy's)

I wouldn't like San Juan to simply be a larger punching bag than Oars Jr. who frankly was a major pushover for his size.

He lifted a battleship that relative to him was roughly the size of large food tray. What a feat right? This is what I mean. Oars was something though, I wish we could see some actual fighting skills from a live giant.

The release is 3/15, but we receive the spoilers about 6-8 days before the shonen jump be officially released, and the RAW about 4-5 days before (as well as the translation and scanlation).

Teach needed the Warlord title to make it through the Gate of Justice at Impel Down. If Lafitte could have just accomplished to open it with hypnosis then there was no reason to become a Warlord to begin with.

Furthermore we've seen that the control room is inside ID. For Lafitte to hypnotize whoever is sitting in it he must have entered Impel Down first, which is not the case since he arrived together with Teach which was after the gate was opened already.

i dont know but why should we meat dadan on the GL or the NW? i mean he has no reason to enter those places..its more likely that he still stays in east blue..
maybe he heard of aces death and than travelled to the NW to meat luffy…well well i still cant see a reason why we should see him in near future instead of a flashback.

I meant in a flashback. I was thinking perhaps that's what's passing through Luffy's mind right now and he won't wake up until he's relieved his past with Ace, or something in that manner.

Couldn't agree more. I've been reading online since chapter 441 and avoiding spoilers since 545. The experience is so much greater when you actually get to take part of all of Oda's original cliffhangers and only as much material as he wants us to know every week. Speculation isn't as fun when most cliffhangers are resolved in the same Volume as they're first thrown in. :happy:

One mustn't forget Blackbeard needed entrance to the WG Facility Triangle to begin with. Unless he starts off in Mariejoa or Enies Lobby to begin with, or gains access to a Sea Prism Marine ship, he can't get to Impel Down.

Now that I think about it, though… Why didn't he just attack some random marines?

Besides, there's gotta be something more to it. I think BB saying now that the Shichibukai position was just for getting to ID is meant to settle the readers' minds so Oda can sweep us of our feet when the actual plan is revealed.

BB sure knows WB rly good..so he was sure aware of the fact that WB send someone after him..
he just decided himself firt for luffy to gain his shichibukai title, cause they were rly close to each other in the location..
but that he must somehow handle a WB-crewmember sooner or later sure was included into his plans.

I'd be disappointed if the idea was to first kill Luffy and then go after a WB commander. Why not just take out the WB commander to begin with? Why not Thatch?

Also, he was glad he made it in time to see the old man die.
