Honestly I only really go to TGWTG for Doug, Linkara, Spoony, and the Cinema Snob. I don't really like the rest of the site's members aside from a few guys here and there.

I think I'll check out Todd in the shadows eventually though since I've heard so many great things from him.

This. CR is pretty great though, and he does a LOT of research on his topics and it shows. If you've never heard of him before check out his joint review of "Baby Doll" with NC. Jesus Otaku is also good when she wants to be.

pilot wings, while fun is not worth the $40 unless you have extra cash like that.

ridge racer is tons of fun so far, played about 2 hours worth of races over the course of a few days and I'm Not the slightest bit bored. There are cars to unlock, upgrades to get and areas to unlock. Plus its one of the few launch titles with multiplayer albeit only locally. The 3D in ridge racer is just fantastic though, I can't stress it enough, on some levels the cars look like they dont need the screen to continue on. And when you go through tunnels and over bridges, it's very noticable. Now i'll say this, the game isnt fantastic but considering the line up we currently have its worth picking up. Unless you're willing to wait a month for a game then get ridge racer or samurai warriors, ghost recon or street fighter.

Its not just my reasons, its literally many folks who watched the prequels. If anything I don't really even need to go too deep into them, since you can easily acesss an advanced review that does just that.

And I'm not bothering with Lobster for obvious reasons.

Why ? His reviews are done competently enough. He doesn't stand out, but he does get his point across.

Also he made me aware of that horrible Aeon Flux movie I will never have to see now, given how I'm sort of a casual fan of the original show (would have been a bigger fan had I seen it more often).

He's too unrefined. It seems like he does all his reviews in a single take and we have to hear him go "uhhh" "ohhh" "ahhh" a billion times and repeat the same things over and over. I am not exagerrating when i say i could do better. I also dislike that he's SO harsh and uses the most demeaning terms and exclamations for everything he dislikes. OBVIOUSLY he's not the only one who goes over tht top but if you look at linkara and the critic and people like CR and Film Brain they mostly make jokes and only go "OH MY GOD THIS WAS SO TERRIBLE THIS PERSON I THE DEVIL FOR SHOOTING THIS SCENE LIKE THIS." for the REALLY bad stuff and it's inbetween other well written or opinion based jokes. I actually want to like the DW since he reviews some stuff i've seen but i just cant sit through his stuff for the reasons i've mentioned.

acting lacks soul and life.- A lot of that I believe is done on purpose, i could be wrong. Much like how in opera's every move is huge, i thought everything was supposed to eb sutle here. (Except jar jhar)
Midi-chlorians.- Explain.
Characters explain the plot in a couch.- Ok i guess?

-Feels boring- Shut the fuck up. Links several dozens scenes that prove you wrong
