Im is an alien, pretended to be a God and started to take over the World.
Lost Kingdom found out his secret, and tried to stop him. They went to war and this led to the Void Century.
The One Piece is his spaceship. He hid it somewhere where it would be impassable, so no one could reveal his secret.
Raftel means Raft of El.. or Ship of God.
Roger called it One Piece because it's a flying saucer that looks like a coin, or "(one piece) of eight" like the old nickname from the real Pirate Age for a Spanish dollar. He found it but couldn't use it because he was too sick to deal with what it meant to the world and start a war, so he made a challenge to the world.. starting the Great Pirate Era so that someone strong enough to find it, could use it.
It's not a great treasure trove, but it's the most valuable thing in the world because of what it means.
Whitebeard said when it's found it would shake the world to it's core and start a great battle, because it's existence would unquestionably reveal that Im conquered the world hundreds of years ago and everything they know is a lie.
Oda said that, OP is in fact a physical treasure but it's also about the journey. This is a double entendre.. it's about the journey of the Strawhats but also the journey of the ship One Piece itself.

RE: One Pace
sigh.. sucks this had to stop at the arc when the series really needs it. Was really looking forward to the war arc.
Someone else edited it, search for "marineford" on torrent sites (would post but not sure if I'm allowed).

RE: Chapter 800: Follower Sake Cup
@The:
So it's a troll? lol
Nah. But I do think 801 will be a pretty decent chapter. I know Oda likes to do some really nice things, really interesting things during arc transitions. Heck… Even if he just jumps into the beginning of the next arc, that would be nice too; starting to build the mystery and all of what awaits us over the course of some AT LEAST 30+ chapters.
He hinted on Twitter earlier that it was a big one. That was just a joke to people freaking out over it. I don't think Stephen would troll people like that, he's been around forever.
He does this occasionally for big chapters. I remember him doing it once before (but I can't remember the chapter.. but he was right), don't know how commonly he does it. -
RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
The Marines will capture Caesar. Team Luffy is too OP already, and Caesar ultimately has nowhere to go and the SHs can't keep him prisoner forever.

RE: Chapter 795: Suicide
So I have a weird prediction about Kaido's powers. Basically it'd be similar to DC's Animal Man:
Buddy can mimic the abilities of any animal as a result of his encounter with a crashed alien spacecraft. He does this by either focusing on a specific animal near him, or, as he learns later, by drawing power from the animal kingdom in general (this enables him to even mimic animals that are extinct). The nature of these powers has been described in various ways, including the superficial "alien radiation" explanation of his early appearances, the reconstruction of his body by aliens with "morphogenetic grafts" at the cellular level, and, currently, mystical access to a "morphogenetic field" created by all living creatures, also known as "The Red". He does not grow wings to fly as a bird (instead he flies in classic "Superman style"), nor does he form gills to breathe underwater when mimicking a fish, but he has occasionally been known to mimic the actual appearances of animals, such as adopting the claws of a wolverine temporarily, or his metamorphosis toward the end of Delano's run on his series.
So basically he has sort of a tactile evolution like ability where his body can adapt all these properties and abilities of any animal. Or it could be something more like the X-Man Darwin who's body automatically evolves based on his situation.
Another interesting thing is.. I was looking up the metaphysical idea of the morphogenic field.. which is basically the idea there is an underlying consciousness and memory to nature (ex you think of someone's name right before they call you etc.).. and I found the 100th Monkey Experiment, which was an experiment in Japan where they said if enough monkeys in one island knew about washing sweet potatoes.. knowledge of that would be passed on to other monkeys and nearby islands through some power of nature. Maybe this is where the 100 beasts comes from.
This sort of tactile evolution could also explain how he keeps surviving, he evolves based on what's happening to him. This could be expanded to him having some kind of control over causality or natural law due to him being somehow tapped into a "morphegenic field" of some kind. This could also be the origin of his madness, he's tuned into everything and it's driving him crazy like with Coby in Marineford when his Haki awoke. If his madness is based on "hearing all things", there might be a connection with Roger.. and Luffy is somehow able to passify him.. and crush his dream of wanting to die.

RE: One Piece Chapter 766: Smile
@superv:
also, what if an innocent kid (i.e luffy) ate one accidentally? did you see them put a bounty on 5 year old luffy or any other children DF users?
No, but Ope Ope is extremely valuable… The most valuable thing stated in the series.

RE: One Piece Chapter 766: Smile
Cause the method of killing people with random fruits nearby doesn't seem to be very extended or accepted? Fuck, people shitted bricks when Blackbeard did it, and not only cause he ate two of them, the method was kind of a surprise too. So let's just say retrieving the fruit wasn't easy.
False. Ceaser got the fruit back easily when Smiley died.
Because an object and a human being are the same thing, right?
Not to mention your logic is stupid:
"Here's his head. Now pay up!"
"Right. Here's your 5 Billion. Now where's the Devil Fruit?"
"What Devil Fruit?"
"His Ope Ope no Mi!"
"Sorry, but the bounty was for his head, not his ability. I have no idea where his fruit is and I have no obligation to go after it. Your problem buddy."
"…"
They could just have requested a live bounty or something. It's 10X the highest bounty we've seen in the series. If the WG had it they could just round up dying people, and promise to make their families rich if they did whatever made people immortal.
