Evolution of Luffys Devil Fruit, that is all it needs. No fuckken Haki or fukken sidearms.
If its gonna go all Haki, boooooring really.

Well sorry to dissapoint you… but haki is the next step for Luffy and maybe Zoro and Sanji. Hinted since Duval mini arc

well if marco and vista and all women on amazon island have it
then im sure it will be 100% that both zoro and sanji will get haki
i'm just waiting to see what type of haki they have and their effects

That's what I'm saying to the doubters all the time. =)
I think Sanji's and Zoro's haki will be similar to the Boa sisters.
I think everyone can have generic. Like all amazon women.
But Haoushoku Haki is one in a million. Like Luffy and Boa.
It would be silly if Zoro and Sanji can't learn generic Haki.
So i think every SH will learn at least generic Haki.
I think it will be interesting if Ivankov helps unlock some powers from the Straw Hats. As she said herself her power essentially allows her to reconstruct the human body from the inside. Maybe she can help Chopper gain control even if only limited control of his uber form. And most of all I hope heshe can give Robin a decent power up(maybe by transforming some of her massive boob power into muscle) somehow so she can take on stronger oponents. Even if she becoes strong enough to fly for several hours instead of several seconds it will be a nice start
Oh I wonder if they canput impact dials in Snaji's shoes. I think this might be interesting to see
Robin will replicate Luffy's Gear 3rd pistol by creating multiple arms into a giant fist. Hell, something like that would make Robin seem as powerful as her reputation has led us all to believe.
Now that you mention I remembered Robin creating a an arm so massive that it dwarfed even Luffy's Gear 3rd in the movies. That would be interesting to see in the series as well

If they did that, it'd absorb all the damage every time he kicked without hitting the button.
If they did that, it'd absorb all the damage every time he kicked without hitting the button.
Not really. They can easily adapt the dials to work in soeme specific way so that Sanji cna control them as easy andperfectly as the dials in Nami's clima tact. It would give him a great defense and may help him make creative new attacks. Although I don't really see Oda doing it but sitll fun to imagine
I know Luffy will get Haki but Id still love to see a Gear 4th and 5th. All the strawhats are going to have to have major power ups if they are going to fight Blackbeard with his ridiculously strong party. I cant see how Nami and especially Usopp could ever fight against guys like them but ah well

She did it with Oars on thriller bark remember?
As for Nami against the Black Beard Pirates, my theory is Nami against almost anyone except for Logia will be completely unprepaired when fighting her. After she comes back with the wind knott she'll be so much more powerful. Regardless though, next time she has her major fight, I can't imagine her opponent will be completely ready to handle her style of fighting.

agreed
i doubt the other SH's will have it though i mean if all fights had haki it might get tedious but haki will be a major deal people who can't accept that fact are dumb asses or trolls
Arctique Jambe is coming, bet on it.
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/503/18-19/
Upper left panel… In my eyes Zoro and Sanji seemed to sensed Rayleigh's haki a bit...
I could be wrong but as top fighters they will learn it
Arctique Jambe is coming, bet on it.
I bet against it^^
I still don't see why people are calling Robin weak. She's not. I'd rank her right after the big three in terms of strongest on the crew. Plus, she's insanely perfect for taking out fodder and helping the SHs save time. And she kicked that one guys ass in Skypeia.
If she gets the power up I want her too (Shigan) then she'll become even more deady.

fodder are fodder cause anyone can take out fodder. and she's no where near the top three.
Slow, Physically Weak, and Lack of diversity in technique. + She does not move when using her devil fruit. Major weakness.
Against a real opponent the best she can be is an annoyance rather than a real fighter.
You want lack of diversity go to Sanji. She's far from physically weak. She took a beating in Skypeia as she tried to lead Yama away from the ruins and then she freakin KOed him with clutch. She doesn't move because doing so doesn't allow for full control of her technique, which makes her an ideal long distance fighter, like Usopp. That's what really makes her so deadly. She can take out larger number from a distance.
And as for the point about fodder, I'm saying she can eliminate them faster.
Plus, her ability is also great for gathering information and what not.
Also, you have to remember she did defeat Alabasta's greatest warrior: Pell. And he's not really a pushover, he did survive a nuke…
Well unless they go back to fighting relatively weaker enemies on Fishman Island the the New World, they all do need a good boost in fighting ability. Even Chopper's all-powerful mindless form got easily dealt with on Sabaody. The problem is that Oda's spent a lot of time showcasing how the Strawhats aren't all that powerful after all but has now reached a point where he has to either boost their power (this certainly seems to be the case with some of the cover stories, noticeably Nami's, which shows her learning more and more about the weather and that weather-rope thing) or have it so they don't fight anyone near the strength of an Admiral for quite some time yet.
Just idle conjecture but (spoilered for length):
! Luffy
I can imagine his next Gear being something to do with Haki. I also wouldn't be surprised if something based on Nightmare Luffy is brought in as a more frequent power-up.
! Nami
The Weatheria "training" and possibly the utilisation of that odd rope the old guy had.
! Robin
Her power seems so straight forward, it's hard to see how it could improve. Luffy can use his rubberiness in a whole variety of ways, aggressive/defensive/passive, whereas Robin's attacks are basically just different strikes of grapples but made from a distance. My friend did have an interesting idea of her blooming more of herself on different surfaces, even possibly blooming full clones - and they in turn could also bloom body parts around.
! Sanji
I can imagine some kind of humorous explanation that all the running he did on that Okama Island has massively strengthened his legs.
! Usopp
My friend also pointed out how the stronger the cabling he uses for his slingshot, the stronger the attacks but the harder it would be to prep the slingshot for firing. If Usopp beefs up, he can use a higher tension, more damaging slingshot.
! Franky
The obvious things is learning something about cybernetics from Vegapunk or Vegapunks records.
! Chopper
The main thing for Chopper would be to be braver. While he's not as cowardly as Usopp, he is far more powerful so it's more of an issue if he keeps cowering all the time. Also, though I don't expect this to happen for some time, he may get control over his "monster" form and possibly even be able to utilise the destructive power of that form in a smaller and more manageable transformation.
! Brook
No idea here. I don't feel we've seen enough of him and his cover story doesn't seem to offer any hints, other than the same deal as Chopper; maybe he gets braver and therefore more able to apply his current skill level to a fight? Dunno.
! Zoro
Obviously more techniques, possibly several more commonly used techniques involving the Ashura form/effect (whatever it is). Given what his cover story is, though, and going off the theory that the cover stories are going to explain how they got stronger, there could be something where he has team-up attacks with Perona (don't see how that'd work but I'm just trying to thing of how her presence is relevant to his improvement). IIRC there was also the silhouette of another swordsman at the end of his cover story. Most likely, this will be someone who teaches him new techniques.
What skills could you use to beat a logia. If i'm a non logia facing akainu ima get raped unless I have haki.
i believe there is another way beating logia.
somehow, haki user is just like a hackers :getlost:

You are only assuming the bold section with no evidence. As for long distance she hasnt faught long distance ever. She has always faught mid range to close range. And when ever things get close she gets her ass kicked pretty hard. Think about her length of time with the crew versus some one like Franky and we have seen more from franky's techniques and possibilities than robin.
I still say that if she can't move with her ability and she can't be physically strong like some of the other crew members than she needs a weapon or something akin to what usopp did for nami. Since she allegedly can't move while using her technique, she can spout body parts where ever she wants within a specific distance, and she can get rid of the limbs when ever she wants in a speedy manner, + she is mentally quick. So i'd say she'd be well adept at explosives, keeping track of the detonation times for a mass of explosives, and able to easily move and use numerous bombs and detonators that she'd be an excellent explosive using mid range fighter. Image this being a bomb rather than water and she retracts the arm right before the explosion.
Well nothing against Robin… But she and Chopper lost against 2 weak versions of Zoro and Sanji.
About the new power ups, it's obvious that Luffy has to learn about Haki, but will that be his only power-up?
I mean, I think he also needs to get new attacks, or evolve in to his DF… Probably Vegapunk is going to do something with Luffy?
Zoro, more Demon Like attacks, and if he gets haki, it would be a demon sort of haki or just a killing intent. Much of his opponnents said how he was a demon and such
Sanji, Okama Kenpo. Or he is going learn everything in reverse, which would mean his leg could be frozen? Because Okama is totally the reverse side of Sanji
Nami, .... no comments
Chopper, I would say new Rumble Ball powers, or he is going to have the ability to call for birds. And probably he is going to learn of his Monster Point.
Robin, Information or new Assassination techniques.
Franky, Vegapunk Upgrades
Brook, new Music Based attacks. I still think that he can do much more with his DF. What will mean he can maybe call upon the Underworld and call death spirits out of it which he can use to possess items?
"The Grim Reaper's Composer" Brook
So Sanji starts to use all elements with his leg by some theories?
How could he freeze his leg?
I hope for a lightning leg xD
Well, if you saw bon clay, his leg was in the air while spinning. Maybe Sanji can make speed and his leg would cool off because of the air? Something like that xD?

he's a cook. Freezing is counter character. The who Red Leg thing has to do with fire and has a name of spicy food.
No way in hell he's getting freezing legs nor a metal/sea stone shoe. Its illogical and not "odaesque".

Well i hope I will never see that^^ Sorry but it would be stupid if suddenly he starts to learn different elemental leg attacks. fire is enough

He can use Franky's freezers :getlost:
i guess it's only inevitable that a thread will turn into mush. Just didn't think it'd be so soon that people would run out of good ideas and resort to fan fiction.

Sanji feet is a Logia. :ninja:
Guys, guys; Sanji will get a pair of Bon Chan's steel beaked swan shoes. He will hate wearing them because they're ridiculously stupid looking, but they improve his range and damage output dramatically.
Serious suggestion: out of all the fighters, Robin, Chopper and Brook seem to be the most ineffective for some reason. Usopp and Nami whilst considerably weaker seem to win a few of their fights through ingenuity. Robin and Chopper need to do the same if they're planning to survive the new world. Robin's power allows her to bloom any part of her body. There's plenty of creative ways to use that in battle I'm sure. Chopper's entire body can shapeshift into seven forms. With proper use, I'm sure that can be devastating.
The problem with both of these characters is they always use the same tried and tested formula that rarely works; Robin=clutch, clutch, clutch. If that doesn't work, clutch some more. Chopper=rumble ball and go Horn/Arm point to try and overpower the opponent. Often fails.
Considering they're both the most booksmart people on the crew, they're the least creative when it comes to ideas and the least likely to have a backup idea.
Brook, to be fair, hasn't had a lot of screen time, so who knows what he's capable of outside the Ryuuma battle.
As for the others; Usopp and Nami are basically fine. Weak, yes, but both don't need to be hugely physically powerful. Ideas wise, I honestly think they're two of the most creative fighters in the entire series, except for maybe Mr. 3. Usopp's arsenal just needs a little more oomph to it, and Nami needs to be a little less fragile. If she could take the odd hit like the rest of the crew, she'd be a lot more devastating.
Luffy is going to get Haki. Zoro is hopefully going to stop wrecking his body, allow it to heal so that he can actually fight without a smashed up body. Maybe something with his demon aura will occur too.
Sanji, I honestly have no clue. I doubt it's a frozen leg, and I doubt it's going to be a CP9 ability. I just don't know what he's going to get.
Edit: Forgot Franky
Like many suggested, Franky's probably going to learn more about cybernetics. I'm half expecting a pacifista-esque laser and stronger metal upgrades to be added to his arsenal.
So Sanji starts to use all elements with his leg by some theories?
How could he freeze his leg?
I hope for a lightning leg xD
That would just be lame.
Would be cool if he could get his other leg to burn too though.
Guys, guys; Sanji will get a pair of Bon Chan's steel beaked swan shoes. He will hate wearing them because they're ridiculously stupid looking, but they improve his range and damage output dramatically.
Don't be so quick to put the shoe idea down. He's on Okama island so he might end up the Cinderella who fits the magical shoes passed down since ancient times. And in good dragonball tradition those shoes will weigh half a ton so Sanji will become stronger by wearing them.
sanji is the easiest figure out okama death wink with he covered eye
I dunno for everybody
Luffy - Haki of course
Zoro - Some new moves by the shadow guy and MAYBE basic haki and a total healing
Sanji - Same as above
but I doubt he will learn Okama Kempo. How can you learn something if you just run away from them xD Maybe he will mix some stuff up. Probably much more endurance in his leg that he isn't hurt badly after kicking hard metal like the PX once again
I think the monster trio wil have a big upgrade to hold their own against powerful opponents. Seeing Luffy's and Sanji's face after getting owned by Kuma is more than enough for them to never let something happen like that again. We know they are proud and the main attacking force of the SHs. And seeing the top members of the crews are using haki I have no doubt for this 3. Maybe not that powerful at the beginning but some basics and than they will evolve it even more
Franky - Upgrade which COULD let him be more usefull even without cola and MAYBE let him be closer to the monster trio
Nami - We all know what
For the rest no idea so far
She did it with Oars on thriller bark remember?
.
Oh no. From what I remember the hand in the movie was much larger then the one in Thriller Bark. Maybe two or three times the size. Although I gotta watch it again to be sure
She doesn't move because doing so doesn't allow for full control of her technique, which makes her an ideal long distance fighter, like Usopp
When they did they ever say this? I was always left with the impression that she can easily move if she wants she just stands in one place just to look cool (and because if the oponent is vulernable to her attack he is dead anyway so why bother moving). Kinda like why everybody is shouting their techniques.
Brook was going to fight against the Longarm tribe Apoo is a member of, so they most likely use musical attacks as well so I can see him picking up some crazy stuff there.
^I don't think it was ever established that the Longarm Tribe was labeled as a "battling musicians" society, but does anyone else think that the tribe might have some Tone Dials with Apoo's attacks on them? Better yet, I wonder if Apoo have a recording studio on the island.

quote]I've been saying this for a while, but no one seems to notice or care. BUt like Luffy taught himself soru, the other SHs are going to learn something similar to the rokushiki attacks.
I hold Zoro will learn something similar to Kami-E. We've seen how ideal it is for dodging attacks and allowing one to get close to the opponent; he would benifit greatly. Sanji is the most obvious: Rankyaku. Eventually he should be able to cut things with his kick. Brook: Sinnce he can already run on water, for a period of time, Geppou seems to be the next step. Robin: Give her Shigan and she becomes one deadly mofo. Nami and Usopp I'd like to see learn Tekkai, it would help them take damage. As for Franky and Chopper, who knows.

It's suppose to be a "kids manga" being in Shonen Jump. Naming attacks adds dialogue to a scene, that normally wouldn't require it, to keep kids engaged. Plus it gives kids things they can say when they are playing make believe to specify the type of attack they are imaging when they can't replicate the actual action. It's a type of word of mouth ploy for mangas. A long tested Shtick.
why do people think that sanji will never get seastone shoes?
why do people think that sanji will never get seastone shoes?
Cause haki made seastone unnecessary to counter devilfruit powers
Cause haki made seastone unnecessary to counter devilfruit powers
No. It was found to counter Logia in place of seastone.
But Haki is better all around since it can increase basic attack power. DF users and Non DF users will suffer more damage. and Logia's will actually get some damage if not more than some.
Side Note: Seastone requires prolonged contact to work. DF users revert back to normal immediately when removed from the seastone/sea water.

a lot of people have mixed feelings on these two training together.
i wonder if it's actually a misstep or if Oda just doing the cliche samurai defeating his master thing here.
but, i kind of got the feeling from the way mihawk was shown as being strong compared to a lot of guys we've seen so far but not unstoppable in marineford if it's something else. does anyone think someone else besides mihawk might be zoro's goal in the second half of the series? i could see mihawk being defeated by shiryuu or some new swordsman who's been intentionally flying under the government's radar the way blackbeard did.
maybe the status of world's greatest swordsman might pass to someone else besides mihawk is what i'm saying. if mihawk is training zoro himself, zoro's goal just seems too close to being achieved this far ahead of the finale of one piece.
possibility?
He still has to beat Shiryuu, Vista, Hawkins and one of the Gorousei.
my initial reaction is that of the master-apprentice thing. as for Mihawk being "weak" in the war, I see him more of an observer who does what he wants. He doesn't seem to have any particular goals yet. I still believed he could have killed luffy in the war if he really did want to. as for zoro, when he offered his life for luffy in thriller bark, said that Luffy will become the pirate king. Zoro has made that his primary goal and his being the strongest secondary.
as for other strong swordsmen, shiryu and one of the gorosei comes to mind.
I hope that Gorousei guy can fight. He'd be awesome.
I doubt on so many levels that Milhawk will teach Zoro EVERYTHING he knows. Who teaches someone who wants to kill them all of their tricks?
Mihawk and Zoro have very different fighting style. I don't see Zoro giving up Santouryuu for a long sword. Much like Luffy and Rayleigh, I think Mihawk will just teach Zoro the basics and let him develope from there.
I hope that Gorousei guy can fight. He'd be awesome.
All that guy needs is Jewelry Bonny to change him back to his 20s and he is good to go. Now that she's captured, I don't see whats keeping them from forcing her to do so.

Thats what i think too, Mihawk will oversee Zoro's training but he won't be teaching him his own technique or moves.
