    Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

    • RE: Chapter 734: "Rommel's Whirlwind"

      @blue-san:

      Maybe translation is crap than

      Cause he says:

      "What you did THIS MORNING, was enough for me not to want to abandon this country completely! Just that!"

      Dofla didnt do shit this morning, this moring info came that he lied. So why would that cause him to act is beyond me.
      If it was like, what you did few days back (resigning) was enough for me not to abandon this country bla bla

      Now that would make sense this does not

      P.S.

      I agree that Rebeca for me just got additionally disliked in this chapter, sure she dodged a bit but looks like she couldnt have won it with her own strength alone. So the fact that she is among top 4 is a bit cheap

      I haven't read through all the posts so I don't know if anyone has said this but I think what Riku meant was that it showed the extent of don's power with the government and that this showed his true power and danger.

    • RE: Attack on Titan: Why Genocide Is Sometimes Kind of Okay

      It says in the chapter that Eren wrote "my father was…by me" and then Eren goes all sad for half an hour. Does that not sound like he killed his father? I forget but was there ever proof of his father being alive? Eren could have killed him due to the experiments

      I don't know, maybe I missed something but I wouldn't call it a masterpiece. I might give it another go sometime. I had heard how amazing it was but I don't really see what gave it the wow factor. I thought it had a very good ending alright but it didn't really grip me so I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. The masks making it hard to tell who was who didn't really help either. I'd call it decent but not life changing but maybe it just wasn't for me.

    • RE: Toriko II: Ichiryuu's Slimy Insides!!

      That was a class chapter - so much information packed into one. Plus I'm loving the direction it is going in.

    • RE: Chapter 728: "Number of Tragedies"

      Are people actually talking about this arc being terrible?! Was it not like a couple of weeks ago people talking about Dressrosa being possibly one of the best arcs?! I'm never been a fan of flashbacks but imo this arc has been fantastic.

      @Baldulf:

      In my opinion an action seinen differs on the psicological damage that the characters suffer or a focus on their pain (a more sadistic point of view)

      Toriko has a lot of blood but it's still not seinen levels of violence, even when late episodes seem a bit too much for a Jump series.

      Yeah that's the part I don't like the idea of in seinin - the psychological trauma. I wish there were more mature type shonen like Toriko which is without the disturbing content.

      I'm just wondering - with all the gore, is toriko more like a seinen? I haven't read any seinen, bar like one chapter of beserk, so I have nothing to judge on.

      It looks like Starjun's power is based around the sword. I hope it's that powerful because of his power in some way. Because if it were easy to get that kind of weapon (which is amazing in defence and attack) it would be a let down.

    • RE: Tiers of manga.

      @Demonicpoodle:

      Hmmmm. So you want some violence, or none at all? I would assume some, right? To get you warmed up a little bit.

      Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is very seinen with just the right amount of violence and disturbing moments, though neither of those are near its focus. It is an absolute must-read, there is no literature or manga out like it. But it is considered to be one of the very best on this forum. Do you want to start out with the best? Maybe not.

      If not, Kingdom is technically seinen, and it's about to pick up in popularity in APForums and it might be fun to post in the thread about it when you're caught up. It's garnering very good reviews from every AP member that's read it and is still being scanlated.

      I don't mind some violence - just not over the top. Actually I am reading Fullmetal alchemist at the moment and nausicaa was the next one I was going to read. Kingdom could be good too.

      @Sheep:

      Vagabond is fantastic. It has sword fights with occasional dismemberment and stuff like that, but nothing like the gore in Berserk
      I dislike that stuff too, so you can trust one that one being bearable to you
      Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is fantastic too, and it also has no pointless violence

      cool thanks! 16 characters

      @Aaronrules380:

      The Lucifer and Biscuit hammer is technically seinen, but reads like an incredible shonen

      Good stuff! I've got a few on the list to read now

    • RE: Tiers of manga.

      I'm starting to branch out in reading different manga. I am apprehensive of reading seinen manga as I have the impression the are very violent and disturbing, but I do want to try reading some. Anyone have any advice for a good seinen that is neither too violent or disturbing?
