1. Have Ace focused on far far more prior to his capture and death.
   One of the biggest problems for me when Ace died was I felt nothing. We learnt more about him after he's dead than when he was alive in the story and he seems to be shoehorned in everywhere now he's dead. It's by far the weirdest character narrative to me due to Ace's overall affect on the plot.
2. I'd give Law a career focus as something other than a doctor.
   Don't get me wrong, his fruit fits a surgeon volition perfectly, but the unfortunate issue is Chopper feels redundant and has less moments to shine post-timeskip because there's always a guy who can just cut the disease out of a body waiting on the sidelines. If he was anything other than a doctor himself we could at least have Chopper come up with the idea to slice the disease out himself and guide Law on what to do, showcasing Chopper's skill, knowledge and ability to teach instead of purely Law's skills.
3. Showcase more of Kaido and Moria's past battle on Wano.
   Okay, I'm aware this is insanely minor but I think it's a wasted opportunity. Considering Moria stealing the sword and corpse of their legendary hero was a big deal for Wano, and Kaido's murdering of Moria's entire crew led to Moria's breakdowns, this feels a bit like a missed character piece that could have affected numerous characters in one go whilst simultaneously showcasing exactly why Moria was so feared back in the day. Hell, even now I don't feel like I know much about Kaidou and we're (presumably) in the end game for him.
4. Have Smoker and Tashigi be bounty hunters rather than Marines.
   Again, incredibly minor tweak, I know. We have Coby, Drake, Helmeppo, Garp and a few other characters filling in the role of reasonable marines. This would give them more of a reason to explain why they were so laser focused on Luffy and Zoro too, particularly for Tashigi who's 'take back the swords from bad people' quest would IMO fit better here as a bounty hunter than a marine.
5. If the Strawhats have to be split up, at least have them interact with a few old familiar faces.
   Alright this one's incredibly personal and you could argue this may make the world seem smaller. Heck, it's just because Impel Down was my favourite arc, but the dynamic between Luffy, Buggy, Mr. 3 and Mr. 2 was incredibly fun and seeing the interactions between characters you'd not expected to see talk was great. Buggy and Mr. 3's instant friendship may be my favourite side character thing to date. I was hoping we'd get a similar enjoyable character piece when we saw Bellamy in Dressrosa and it certainly seemed like we'd get that…but the execution was less stellar.
6. Or alternatively have the Strawhats get sidelined less. Seems to fly in the face of the previous point, huh?
   Whilst the side cast are great, post time skip Chopper has been overshadowed by both Law and Carrot, Usopp has barely done much of anything outside Dressrosa, Brook still felt very underdeveloped until Whole Cake Island as a result of only being recruited one arc prior to the timeskip, Robin had her moments to shine in combat in Dressrosa taken by Bartolomeo and Kyros. I'm not expecting the Strawhats to have to solve everything themselves, but when secondary characters take the spotlight from the 'main cast' consistently, it doesn't sit great with me. One Piece is better than many about it but I still feel it could be improved on a little.

Pretty standard taste overall. I'd have voted Kuro and Arlong over a lot of these options but I can't over Buggy and Usopp.

Also, this game and it's story mode made a very strong effort to ERASE Pedro's ENTIRE existence so I no longer expect him as DLC. They went way out of their way to cut and rewrite all of his scenes, terrible.

I've already got 100% in the game, I'll need something really exciting to get me to care about the DLC. Even though I already paid for it :ninja:

Baby 5 and the missing cut characters(all of them are there by the way) appear as placeholders within the game files, whether this means they were all intended to originally be brought over from 3 until deadline reality kicked in or not is up for debate but it seems the devs left placeholder slots for them.
! Not only that but Harjudin and Trebol were also going to be NPCs for Dressrosa's arc as they're named in the files, but seem to not have made the cut either.
! There's also placeholder slots within the NPC code with names listed from PW3 such as Hannyabel, Monet, Vergo, the East Blue villains, etc.

So the June Ichiban Kuji has an additional character as opposed to just the usual suspects. I think it is only the 2nd official Kaido figure aside from the ridiculously expensive POP. Of course it will be out of scale but just pose him with WCF maybe.

The UK has been kinda screwed when it's come to One Piece so the fact we've gotten Stampede AND this in 2020 is genuinely exciting.

I know there's always the chance they'll turn up in the next month or even in the 9 DLC characters incoming, but….
Moria being cut when his arch nemesis has finally been added and he's recently possibly become a major part of Blackbeard's crew is a strange move.
No Kuma either despite Pacifista's model being in the game either.
This is even the game where there's an emphasis on HUGE characters being more accurately sized and yet the two biggest warlords are getting skipped over...?

What a weird choice.

Ceasar being cut despite his role in Wholecake and Dressrosa seems a little strange too. I didn't even enjoy playing Ceasar in PW3 but it's another weird choice, especially since he can fly and that's a whole other major feature here...

So far the confirmed characters for that are Wano Luffy V.5, Wano Zoro V.4, Wano Chopper V.3, and Wano Robin V.2

Lots of characters yet to do, but hey it's okay, let's get every variant out there.

I find that a way Blackbeard can beat Shanks is by trying to outwit him with a Davy Back Fight. A good way to bring back that concept in a more serious setting.

So, if their conflict is done like this, getting crew members is part of the game.

But most importantly, why not?

I forget, are you forced to accept a Davy Back Fight? If not, I have no clue why Shanks would accept Blackbeard's terms when he doesn't underestimate how dangerous Teach is.
