I also think a return to TV is in order. Funimation is working their magic, yet NO ONE is seeing what's being done; it's like Leonardo da vinci painting the Mono lisa and no one giving a crap, and if I were the guys down at Funimation, that'd really grate my nerves. I think they should do everything in their power to make sure this masterpiece of a show gets seen SOMEWHERE. Sorry to sound pissed off, but after two-and-a-half years of being a no-show on American TV and letting a certain Ninja hog all the praise, it's about time the Strawhat's returned, and really showed people that Pirates are just as cool as Ninjas. (lol pirates vs ninjas)
And I'm not just talking about finishing up the Skypiea arc, but taking things from the top and starting over from the beginning. Look- people are stupid; if Funimation shows this thing from episode 1, these uninformed guys are STILL gonna think that it's the 4kids version, not to mention their already hazy memories of this series' first run on TV, and they'll be thinking, "Hm, ya know, this really isn't as bad as I 'remember' it being…why did I hate it again?" And then they'll sit the freak down and watch it...well, that's my theory anyway.
But then again, Funimation could always air the series as One Piece "Uncut" which could also work. The name would drive people to the show, though it wouldn't actually be completely "uncut," as things like swears might still have to be removed.
As for channels, we already know Cartoon Network's a lost cause, but there's still other channels to consider, Like Nicktoons for example.
