Capitalism is evil and the death of the human connection. The idea of letting human create art—about letting them express human feelings and ideas—is a threat to them. Corporations want the machines that they control to make our 'entertainment', so that they don't have to pay artists to create art. They would rather use all our technology to take away the creation of art from humans, so that those artists could be used for the workforce in the service industry, until they are no longer even needed for that. It's the complete opposite of why we as a society worked to advance technology.
Marjorie Taylor Green has introduced a new bill to force detransition teens and take away the right to transition care through insurance. This is attempted genocide.

The outrage is about the She-Hulk post credit scene is just sad. Similar stuff like this happen before in the She-Hulk comics, one moment I remember happens in the first issues of the Dan Slott run.
I'm pretty sure that cishet men are just mad that they can't masturbate to it because the series is actively antagonistic towards shitty cishet men and also otherwise not particularly sexual or erotic enough for decent, normal-people cishet men to be turned on by it.
So yeah, it's really sad.
AI shit is terrible, and everyone involved in using it should be ashamed for putting the work of human beings below the work of machines that lack sentience.
Speaking as, well, someone who is probably certifiably more left-wing than your average poster, I must submit that I agree with the notion that it is wrong to just cut 'Red states' loose, because minorities will suffer as a result. I understand that it's easier for more privileged folks to just write those Red states off, but a significant amount of oppressed people are from those states and unable to simply leave just because conservatives have made those states harder to live in.
I love the Crocks so much. They're so silly but also they're played in these super straight scenarios so it's even funnier. I hope we get more characterization for Artemis and her weird personality remains while she also matures as a character. I really don't have it in me for betrayal or heartbreak right now. lol
I'm betting that Mr. Bones killed The Gambler...but for what exact purpose? I'm willing to be that he was involved in Sylvester's resurrection and that the season will end with Sylvester betraying the team (unwittingly or not) and then sacrificing his life for redemption.
I hope we get to see more of Jennie this season! I really vibe with her and I also love her powers! I want to see where her story goes and if we'll get to see Obsidian and Alan on-screen at all.
Make the polycules canon and then have the X-Men kill god and destroy capitalism.
Yeah, they just create more White Boomer trans people who hate themselves so that they either don't transition and spend their lives writing the most miserable forced feminization shit possible, or they DO transition and wind up being the most miserable, pick-me assholes of all time.
Quite happy to see Yost and Jones will be involved. I wonder if Billy and Izzy will share a dynamic, considering Yost's history with the series as an openly queer actor and Izzy as a character being the first canonically queer character. That would be such a cute dynamic, especially if Billy was canonically made queer as a 'fuck you' to the producers that abused him in the 1990s.
DADDY'S HOME!
So happy to see Jackman again, I'm wondering what exactly his arc is in this film.

What did you hate about it? I mean, it was obviously a very different take on the character, so you couldn't expect classic Jack Nicholson/Mark Hamill style.
I don't really care for The Joker in general, but the character—particularly in this setting—has the effect of appealing to some of the worst people ever, and I could sense that with the film. I think that the film misuses it's mental health allegory to try and be applicable to a more general lack of identity for your average cishet man, rather than focusing on the systemic issues that lead to the abuses that the mentally ill face, and speaking specifically to people who face those issues.
I'm also just not a fan of the manner in which female characters are used specifically for the self-gratification of a male character's arc and ego. The film doesn't even have the decency to really reflect on the manner in which women are used by men to give meaning to their lives and experiences, so in a lot of ways, the women feel like trophies.
I think that Philips is trying to say something, but he doesn't know enough about the world and it's many different people to be able to properly reflect on the condition of his main character, both as a disabled person, a disabled man, and a man in general.
I love musicals as much as the next deeply queer woman, but I'm not looking forward to a film that serves as a sequel to a really flawed film, and is going to center on the historically abusive relationship between The Joker (a man) and Harley Quinn (a queer woman). Maybe Philips has learned something new and grown as a filmmaker and person since the first film, but the trailer that we've seen so far for this film feels too much like it buys into the zeitgeist of the initial film in this series, and for that I just doesn't inspire a ton of confidence in me.
EDIT: Also, the guy's a douche who doesn't know how to make comedy and blames 'WOKE' for making it impossible to do so, which kind of just tells me everything I need to know about him and his art.
I hated the first movie, and this one is not looking any better...oof. This is going to be a rough storm to weather, I am definitely not a fan of The Joker.

I don’t want to sound like an asshole here or insensitive, but does anyone know if Toriyama passed away before he could finish Dragon Ball Daima?
We don't know because we don't know how long Daima is going to be, but it's likely that he finished writing the plot before the series even began production. The plot would have likely been finished years ago. Because of the healthier production schedule that Daima has the series is going to have a ton of episodes finished before it airs (as opposed to Super not even having five episodes finished before it began airing).

ok with jjk doing this somewhat and now MHA doing this
is aizen's bullshit actually well received and legendary in Japan? I'm not talking about SS's twist but his whole spew at the end of the Arrancar arc where he stalks Ichigo like
an obsessive ex girlfriend.
I mean I see r/bleach sometimes and people actually applaud that bullshit but most people I know think of it as a meme and definitely more on the side of it was terrible writing.Man was this chapter bad except for the last part.
Well, Aizen is sexy, and was established as cool and powerful, without there being a Shigaraki figure for him to ruin. Here Horikoshi is pretty much just making a second minute reveal that undercuts his story's themes.

lol holy shit, it was?
This one too
Regarding the Dexter's Lab episode, according to the Wiki:
"For awhile, it was famously rumored that the episode was banned due to Spooner being considered a stereotype of gay men and Krunk getting drunk at the end, but eventually it turned out that the episode was banned due to threats by the creators of Silver Surfer over at Marvel Comics who viewed the Silver Spooner as a misuse of their character and a potential copyright infringement."
"We don't like chicken!" Oh, so they're the TERF kinda dykes.
Anyway, holy god, that was a barrage of dyke/butch jokes, wowzers.
Yeah, a reveal like this really doesn't work for a character arc that you've had in the oven for a decade. This chapter just doesn't work.

Goddamn, that was certainly...lifts limp wrist
I can't stop thinking about how fucking cool the X-Men are. Goddamn, I hope X-Men '97 goes on for a few more years and gets to be even more explicitly queer and woke. The absolutely killer way these episodes have not only done good soap operas, but also torn bigots new assholes has been amazing.
